INTRODUCTION:

I play as SAHP a lot, and after some time (especially playing with LSPDR Enhanced/Extended), lacking SAHP stations to start the playthrough with feels bitterly unimmersive.

After searching on the internet for stations to download, none of them satisfied me (either too basic/unimmersive or too complex (e.g., poorly mapeditor/menyoo autoloads, FIVEM, extra dlcprops, paywalled)). So I started making my own ones.

After successfully making a Paleto Bay SAHP station (link below) I started looking for a place to make another one south, and after taking a close look at few candidates/empty lots I made my decision.

 

DE-REVAMPING THE WEAZEL NEWS BUILDING

Upon closer inspection of the files, I found that this building is actually called kt1_12_policedep, meaning that at some point during development, it was indeed a police station before being revamped as the Weazel News building. It still even has a Polmav car generator on the roof (singleplayer disabled) and a striking resemblance to the Vinewood and Mission Row Police Stations.

 

 

WHAT'S NEW IN V1.6?: 

  • Improved ambient SAHP officers spawn. They will be Cops instead of Hwaycops with the LAPD livery.
  • Added LAPD and CHP liveries to the station.
  • Inlcuded a NVE compatibility fix inside each file.
  • Improved textures and logos.

 

 

HOW TO INSTALL & UPDATE:
Follow the guidelines in the readme, but basic install is:

  1. Drop the lssahp folder into mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/

  2. Add this line in mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/dlclist.xml

    <Item>dlcpacks:/lssahp/</Item>

NEXT (TBD):

  • Optionally add working customizable vehicles to spawn in the parking spaces (since SAHP doesn't have og vehicles).
  • Improve textures.
  • Make ped spawn more stable.
  • Make an installer.

 

KNOWN ISSUES & TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. Stop The Ped Conflict (Jail Drop-Off)

    • Issue: Stop The Ped overrides LSPDFR’s jail drop-off system, making it non-functional with any new/custom station.
    • Solution:
      • Use ArrestManager and add extra jail drop-off locations.
      • Alternatively, use the nearby stations for processing.
         
  2. Crash when nearing the station

    • Cause: Installing a mod that replaces the actual ambientmodelsets.meta, or the existance of a new one that is loaded after the edited one, game tries to call "SAHP" peds but they don't exist (not loaded).
    • Fix: Add the SAHP peds in the last loading ambientmodelsets.meta or use the original files.

It does, I haven't seen the moto yet, but SAHP vehicles have spawned for me

I've been messing around with it, modded files included, but it has still to be tweaked. Somethings wrong with the fbi and fbi2 vehicles, they have some kind of protection-condition attached or something.

There are no spawn points in the game for them, you only get them by wanted level or scripts. You can't spawn them like any other car.

So, I run @Lapd Code 3’s older ELS CHP pack as a DLC and those are the vehicles spawning for me, as I’d like and had already set up through my lspdfr .ini configurations

Great for the update, I like the new station a lot. However I have a small bug, there are both the weazel news and LS SAHP elements. Has this happened to others, maybe it's because of NVE ?

Yes, its still lacks a NVE compatibility (replace in NVE3 I've been told), but I have already downloaded it to make a workaround soon, most probably coming along with the new station liveries (if I don't get an easier fix first).

Added a compatibility fix.

 

NVE is quite selfish-aggresive towards other dlc's. Has too much overwrite protection when it comes to lending their files. 'I let you coexist but don't touch me'.

I suppose it's so wide that the devs fear that other modifications might cause it to go unstable and the rep goes over them instead, rather to the unknowledge of the user.

 

Imagine LSPDR releasing an integrated NVE patch instead of the other way around.

Thanks for the speed to make the correction the result is simply breathtaking.

Is it after that you think of doing the interior to make the buildings more functional ? The one in LS SAHP would probably be the simplest since it is the copy of other police stations.

I'd love to make interiors for the stations, but it will require too much time and effort for little use in singleplayer. It's something on the table tho, since it "should" mostly just be to copy paste from elsewhere, but as my station projects tend to improve and get more complex (wider structure-wise), the problems that come along with them unexpectedly would too, and worse when it's not for me but for mostly others since everyone has a different version/structure of the game, discouraging the work.

 

FTM making exterior stuff work is hard enough, specially as a beginner. I'd love to. Lets see later on.

Hey there!

This mod is seriously impressive! I was wondering if you'd consider creating a version that converts the NOOSE Headquarters into an SAHP HQ? I feel like it would be a perfect fit for a state-level law enforcement base—plenty of space for offices, garages, and even a training yard.

If you're open to expanding the concept, maybe collaborating with someone to design a proper interior could make it even better. Adding briefing rooms, holding cells, an evidence locker, or even a dispatch center could bring a whole new level of immersion.

Since I almost always play as SAHP, having a dedicated headquarters like this would be amazing. Just wanted to throw the idea your way—really appreciate the work you've put into this mod, and I'd love to see what you think!

I can get behind this, I have always wanted someone to remake this into the Twin Towers correctional facility or something similar, as it has a Jail asthetic and there is no County Jail, just a State Prison and it always feels odd to turn people into a Station for major crimes when youd normally transport them to the County Jail directly. Granted any MLOs for single player is a blessing honestly, we get nothing in comparison to the FiveM community, what I wouldnt give for some of that quality in SP....

I agree! I am just thinking... Highway Patrol station should be off the highway, plus its right in between both County's so, it could also be a jail on top of the SAHP station

Like your other works this is breath taking! I love the idea that Highway patrol/state police stations should be presents. I love the building colors as well as their locations are spot on!! please continue the good work. I look forward to all and any other future works you may invent as time go on. until then stay safe!

Awesome work! I have your Paleto Bay Station in game and it's great. I was just thinking this could be even better if there was an LSSD version as they only have one station in game (Davis) when BCSO is installed as well. Even though they patrol Chumash, West Vinewood and north to Route 68. Is that something you might possibly add as a variant?

Thanks for the appreciation! You mean a LSSD livery for this station? IDK, I'd like to have a new station/office outside the city up north in that case, around Chumash or Vinewood Hills, for that I'd need to find a good place first along with a new building to revamp or copy then remodel. But things aside I'm having some issues IRL to attend too so we'll see.

Would be cool if you redid the La Mesa Station to the Central LA CHP Office it's actually based on, but your stations are amazing!  Actually caused me to drop 5Real and go with these and LSPDFR enhanced instead

Hey Outcast, great maps you make btw! But I dont really get your NVE compability fix. You tell us to replace some files but you dont provide those files. Maybe I'm dumb if so correct me but I really dont understand
