Free Patrol, Auto-Patrol, Auto-Drive 1.0.0

Dope. Works great. I like how it uses blinkers and does random u turns as well. Only thing is the top patrol speed is 25mph

the speed options are from 1-25 but the numbers are not in relation to mph. When set at the maximum, 25, im going about 100 mph on the highway. Decreasing the setting to about 10 or 11 gives a cruise speed of about 50 mph.

overall this is an ergonomic plugin that is basic in its current state to say the least but im anxious to see more advanced features in the future. cheers.

So this is about the same exact mod that OJ made... Did you get permission to make your own?

Would please define when you use the words "about the same exact"? Do you mean "ripoff"? If so, I would highly recommend to go through the source code(attached below) of this mod. It was completely made up from scratch.

Also, I've already mentioned in the description as in why I've made this, please read it.

Permission for what? I am sorry, I didn't know that I had to take a permission from someone to make my own mod?

Would you please clear some air here? I will stop the further update and enhancements until the confusion gets clear. Also, I am happy to take down the mod if there any discrepancies. Source code files below.

Please do let me know if this is good to proceed or should I discontinue.

I've been using this and testing it for the last two hours, and so far so good. The only problems that I run in to are cross traffic and intersections.

When using the emergency drive style, cross traffic tends to ram into me and effectively destroy my car.

At intersections, the auto-drive always wants to butt past the car in front of me and straddle the lines. I get into a lot of minor crashes this way, then drivers drag me out of my car and curb-stomp me, not ideal.

Other than these two things, it's a really well designed Auto Drive.

The mod you linked isn't maintained anymore and has issues with skipping options in the menu.

Thanks for the review and a comment Ndb20. Although, I must mention the blinker feature you've mentioned, it's the peds' default driving behavior, so the actual credit goes to the RAGE game engine and a RAGE plugin hook. I am barely just calling it's method there. 🙂

About the Speed figure, yes, I apologize, I should've kept them in an MPH or some speed centric unit measurement, but rest assured, I will include this, or even more relevant feature in the next update. Thanks for the input.

Thanks for your input DeputyCov and for your testing. I really appreciate you taking the time out not only to test the plugin but posting a review here.

About the driving behavior, there are driving pre-sets available in a RAGE plugin hook, I am just using those.

During my functional testing of the plugin, what I've noticed, in an emergency mode, ped will avoid most of the traffic rules(e.g. taking the wrong way, cause it's shorter to the destination, not following stop signs or traffic lights etc.)

Let me still try to explore a bit on this regard, if I find any more ways to improvise the driving behavior, I will include that with the update.

How did you get it to load? I installed it in right folder and cannot get the menu to open, etc.

Ok, finally got the plug-in working and can open the menu. Problem is, when I select done, nothing happens. Just a clicking noise, but the auto drive does not start.

Something wrong with plugin. Loads up about 50% of the time.

Im practically dependent on this plugin now so it drives me crazy when it doesn't load. Can we get an update for this? Also appears other people above me experiencing similar issues.

Other than the load up issue, this plugin is a great way to relax and lets me pay attention to other things around me instead of focusing on the road and trying to drive smoothly

Just had to hit the Modifier Key + The "normal" Key, so just hit Crtl + G

script is working fine but i have issue with traffic rules. when i enable mod, my car always overtaking all cars. police cars, trucks, bus, always overtaking if have car in my front. otherwise, script is fine but please fix this.
