Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Siren 2.0.0

(1 review)

1 Screenshot

Hello! I recently got into playing NFS: Hot Pursuit again, and I wanted to use the siren in GTA 5. I had to screen record the game to get the sounds because I couldn't extract the original files. I tried to clean up the audio as best as I could. It was challenging because EA decided to make the engine idle noise very apparent when sitting in a vehicle. The airhorn is the default GTA 5 one. Thanks for viewing and downloading!

Please remember to backup your files before modding anything in GTA! An installation guide is located inside the download (READ ME).

Love the siren man, you should defiantly consider doing more NFS sirens,  that franchise has always some pretty great sirens.

I love how it sounds I kind of wish it was just a resident.rpf file instead so it will be easier to change that file. Other wise sounds great

I tried changing the siren just as you said but it didn't work, which I don't understand because it clearly worked for other people. When I replaced it and went into the game there were no sirens or horns on any of the emergency vehicles. All other siren packs I've used have worked fine; I changed back to a previous siren pack and it works fine.

Edit: Okay I found the problem, I imported the "desktop" file included in it before. Great job on the siren!

I’m glad you fixed it, thanks for the kind words!

@purplepotatoes14I was actually able to get much cleaner sirens myself after being inspired by this mod of yours. I turned off the cop vehicle in NFS (I didn't know that you can actually turn the siren on while the engine was OFF) and recorded the sirens. I did have to clean up the ambient wind sounds through Audition and I sharpened the sound using a high pass filter on it. For some reason though, even after I increased the volume, it still sounds a bit low in-game for my taste. Anyways, I would love to share my siren files with you if you would like to do some further processing to make it crisper and louder some how. Please let me know if you would want them.
