Dynamic Lighting System v2.0.0

Welcome to Dynamic Lighting System, a full-fledged light control system that allows for in-depth control of the vehicle's lighting system.

DO YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH DLS?

Read all documentation included with DLS and verify any custom XMLs you made to make sure you haven't made a mistake while editing/creating configurations.
If still giving errors, post it there or on my Discord Server or as an issue on the GitHub repository.

DLS IS OPEN-SOURCE!

DLS is and will always be an open-source project and nothing around it will be behind a paywall.
If you're someone with C# experience or programming experience in general and feel like contributing to DLS the help would be surely appreciated.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

DLS is not compatible with ELS as of release and there are no plans to support them.
All vehicle configuration is set up in an external .xml file and allows for vehicle developers to still share the vehicle as functional non-ELS vehicles with all regular features.
DLS is still in active development and future features are already planned.
Do not post questions as Reviews as I'll not be able to answer it properly that way.

Don't start DLS on startup, you have to manually load in in the RAGE console once LSPDFR is loaded.

I don't know if this question has been answered but how can I use this with els or do i take out els , I'm lost.

It can be used with ELS, but you need to scroll down in your DLS.ini to modify this line:

//Enable or disable Siren Control for non-DLS enabled vehicles.
SirenControlNonDLS=false

and make "true" into "false" as shown above.

I'm very confused I understand what this mod id used for and does but how would i install vehicles and do I need to make a custom file to get full use out of this mod and how would i make those (I'm not good at coding) sorry kinda new to this md always used els but want that extra bit of realness and customization

The vehicle would depends, FiveM packs should be installed through LML or edited to work in a singleplayer DLCPack, for help on that your best bet is a post on the support forum or in a support discord server of some kind. Singleplayer ELS vehicles will have installation instructions included. For the individual configs since DLS uses carcols you will need special configs for the cars that use those specific carcols. There are instructions included with information on how to do that as well as a sample config for the default police cruiser. There's also a link to a plugin called livelights, that will make the process much easier. If you need help with making configs that the documentation doesn't help with your best bet is probably the official discord.

A very very good system! But sadly, it really lacks a detailed explanation video of how to set everything up or people who dive into it and create files such as for ELS. If that would happen it would be a great alternative for NON-ELS vehicles.

1) Installation is very simple.

2) In-Game controls are very simple as well. They are working just fine.

3) I tried setting a pattern up with Live Lights but I could not get it to work in DLS the way I wanted it to be. Though the implementation into the DLS file was simple, a visual supported tutorial would have helped there, in which a detailed step by step instruction shows how to set DLS up for a vehicle. The written one's are good, but a video might be better, at least for me.

It could be the vehicle you're trying to use.

Make sure that none of your sirensettings collide, and use sirensetting limit adjuster for the best experience.

I dont think anything is working incorrectly. I am using another police model, it is an explorer car, I also am using a charger with a different skin. I have heard earlier that I need to change something in order for it work properly. Where do I have to go in order to do that?

Go to your DLS.ini file and make sure that Non-DLS Vehicles are controlled by DLS. DLS only works with non-ELS cars since ELS cars require the script which double screws over DLS. Otherwise, I'm not too sure about your issue. You could hit up the support tickets.

Definitely isn't a replacement. I'd say that DLS is a less popular ELS (still very popular) that is designed differently. Since DLS is based off of a controlled Non-ELS which has more patterns, it is a good choice. If you're having issues with ELS, it is something with your ScriptHookV. Personally, I use ELS for a non-lore game and DLS for a lorified game (i.e. vanilla edited vehicles).

ELS just needs to be updated and the guy who has done the ELS files hasn't updated them since 2017, so I am kind of waiting on for that update.

Lt. Caine hasn't been online in 4 years, I doubt ELS is getting an update.

@TheMaybeast is there any way to allow DLS to use the designated sirens that the meta files are supposed to be using? For example, JM's SAHP Lore pack is set to use the motor cycle siren however DLS makes every car use whatever SIRENPA20WAIL and SIREN2 and POLICEWARNING is. Any suggestions?

If you make your own config or use a public one, a siren can be set. I believe there's more instruction in the read mes.

Can i use this and els at the same time?, Im using a retro lapd pack from the 80s and 90s and some of the vehicles are non els and dont work

Yes. You must toggle the DLS.ini to ONLY control config-enabled vehicles. This will mean that Dynamic Lighting System only targets non-ELS vehicles with a config made for them.

Only Light Stage 3, toggle siren, Interior Light, Hazard Lights work for me. The other does not work. Can anyone advise why? How to control Traffic Advisor? The K button or another button does not work! Thank you for your help 🥴

It sounds like you're using a car without a config
Ensure you made a config for the specific car you are using, the documentation and the sample config should help some. If that still isn't enough join the discord server, people in there should be able to help.
