Devin Plays XScanner audio files

A long time ago I discovered the awesome XScanner plugin and figured out how to include my own clips for fun. So, what I've done is gone through literal hours of police radio recordings, including some recorded myself of my hometown's police department, as well as samples from this awesome YouTube channel and a few other sources to bring you 162 new audio clips (with more coming) for your immersive pleasure. I tried to avoid any clips that would usually necessitate a response from any available officers, such as officers calling out being under fire or officers down. because I felt not being able to actually respond to those would be a little immersion breaking. What we have here are a collection of clips from mundane radio traffic as well as foot and vehicle pursuits. In total, you will have a brand new ambient dispatch environment operating in the background

XScanner is required for these clips to function. I linked to it above and in the readme. Its a simple install and well worth the .5 seconds it'll take you to install it.

Here is a video showcasing some selected sound samples

I do intend to add more clips as time/desire permits

These play in addition to the existing audio clips from xscanner

It doesn't work, the files are MP3 format and the xscanner files are in .xas format

Considering that I've been using the files for over a year and have heard the things I've added....and considering that I've watched streams and videos from people using the files and heard clips I've added....It....absolutely does work.

and as a further point of fact the xscanner page states its supports MP3 playback.

Well, I can't say with certainty that you're crashing because of using xscanner....but I can tell you that I have used it non-stop since 2019, and it was outdated when I started, I know people who have used it for longer, and people who've only started using it recently. I know I have never, not once, in 2 years, crashed because of xscanner, and have never heard of anyone else crashing because of it.

So, if I had to guess, Id say the culprit is probably not xscanner. Depending on what kind of crash you're getting, if its an RPH crash, or a CTD, or whatever, perhaps you could post your log and I wouldn't mind taking a look. If I can't help, there's a couple of good assistance discords put there who I guarantee who could.

Record whatever it is you wanna add, make sure its in .mp3 format and then just name it whatever comes next in the sequence so, like, the next file I add to this would be called "xchattr_206" and put it in Grand Theft Auto V\plugins\LSPDFR\XScanner\Audio\Default\XCHATTR

記錄您想要添加的任何內容,確保其為 .mp3 格式,然後將其命名為序列中接下來的任何內容,例如,我添加的下一個文件將被稱為“xchattr_206”並將其放入俠盜獵車手V\plugins\LSPDFR\XScanner\Audio\Default\XCHATTR

Is there a limit to the audio length?

I played several .mp3 audios yesterday and named them xchattr_001.mp3, xchattr_002.mp3, but it only plays the same audio repeatedly. How can I solve it?

As far as I know, there is no length limit.

As to why it wouldn't play your new files, I'm sorry but I do not know. I didn't actually make the plugin, just the extra audio files for it, so I know nothing of how it actually functions or troubleshooting issues with it.

Can I delete the files in XCHATTR and only put my own mp3 audio?

Oh, sorry, I seem to confuse you with the author of the plugin.  Please ignore my question thanks😁😁

You could delete the extra files I made....I tried deleting the original files but they continued to play. Im not really sure why.

So when it plays back is part of the XScanner plugin and isnt really something I have control of unfortunately. That being said, I'm almost positive there is something in the ini for that, so you may wanna check there

As for adding more clips, its not super likely that I will, but I might. Its just a kinda time consuming process. Ill check out the video you linked and if thats something I can easily convert, I can do that.

Not even sure why this is a question, works fine so far as I know.

I havent played LSPDFR since xscanner updated and dont have the updated version. Guess something could have broke but I doubt it since theres are, just, you know, MP3 files.
