[ELS] fictional LAPD mini Pack 1.0.0

(5 reviews)

9 Screenshots

This is my very first time publishing or even making a car model but i gave it a big shot and tried to make a mini pack and this is what i got out of it  and its not bad for my first time ever modelling i have not put many things on it other than lights and push bars because i did not know how to do the rest of the stuff and i have been working on this pack for a while and i just wanted to get it out there.

Cars in this pack:

2015 dodge charger

2016 FPIU

2017 Chevy ss

This is not LAPD... No steady burning lights at the front and no amber-light in the back of the car...

when i first modeled briefly i made sure the cars were accurate everything down to the equipment but this is half assed and doesnt even look anything like lapd not to mention no spotlights...would it hurt to look at pictures?

man I'm sorry but this is not accurate, no arjent lightbar, why in the world does LAPD have dashlights? WHAT is that rear lighting for LAPD? Since when did LAPD use those rambars? If you're going to call it LAPD atleast make it somewhat accurate

the amount of people critizening the cars its his own personal choice, but the pack needs an update as chevyy isnt working

alright,

1. to everyone else, stop criticizing the cars for his own choices, just be happy they're ELS. could be worse.

2. as for the author to avoid dipsticks like these, I'd best add "fictional" onto the title.

3. That Chevy SS actually does look pretty good.

4. Keep up the good work!

IF YOU EVER DID try to continue/update this pack, I am leaving this just for reference...

The LAPD uses ALL federal signal lightbars, not whelens.

Older LAPD models (newer crown vics, 2010 and 2014 chargers, 2014 FPIUs, maybe an impala, etc.) all use federal signal arjent lightbars.

Newer LAPD models (2016 FPIU, 2016 charger, 2016 FPIS, etc.) all use federal signal valor lightbars.

When people search for the term "LAPD Pack," they don't want something fictional that looks nothing like it. They want something realistic based on real life. They want CVPI's, chargers and 2013 FPIUs with arjents and 2016 FPIU's with valors. They most likely want a lot of real life equipment too. This is essentially like taking a test for history and answering "What year did George Washington cross the Delaware?" with "80-23=57." And you're praising him for it.

I started modeling back in February. I only gave my first 2 cars to some one who really wanted them. I'd never release those abominations and associate my name with them. I probably spent a minimum of 10 or 20 hours on every single car in my packs, some I would easily say 40+. I took the time to get interior equipment as accurate as possible, replicate lighting patterns to a T as much as I could with GTA limitations, and up until I released I was still finding bugs or things scaled incorrectly I wanted to fix. I still question the quality of stuff and wonder if I could of done better.

Right now, this is just another pack that only has incorrectly scaled lights thrown on top of a vehicle thats getting hundreds of downloads from people who see "OMG Lots of lights!".

@C3ST4 I truly hope you don't see this as an attack. I'm criticizing because I want you to improve so more quality stuff is available to people. I just wish a majority of people that upload car models here would take the time to objectively look at their cars and ask "Would I download this if I didn't make it or if I didn't like this agency?"

FUCK the haters bud. Not bad for your first models. All model devs have to start somewhere.

Some of the dicks on this site are quick to criticize, but couldn't put 2 match sticks together with super glue and full instructions.

Stick with it and you're sure to improve.

Dude these cars are sweet, especially since this is your first pack. I've actually never commented on any file but I see everyone hating. Well done.

I don't understand the people saying "UUHHH it's not realistic LAPD cars" well he didn't say they were realistic did he? He did say it was fictional tho and when you see fictional when you want realistic cars, Maybe you should just skip to download the fictional cars and go with the realistic once then

no...a lot of people on  here actually rate most files a 5 out of 5 without really looking at the cars, this is justified because not only did he not take the time to look at pictures while modeling but just made the cars look like a canadian car pack with an lapd skin slapped onto them then later changed it to fictional when people called him out on it even though it wasnt originally......i find it pathetic that if one post gets criticism then its automatically "hate"....if it wasnt for criticism then we would get a lot mediocre watered down content......kinda like what we have now with the recent stuff released

I'm just downloading and using this because of how much hate it got lol

The fact that they are not realistic, its not supposed to be. The title says "fictional", great models for what they are. Please add instructions next time.
I like the cars, good job.

HE CALLED THIS PACK HERE " LAPD PACK " AND THEN CHANGED IT AFTER HE WAS TOLD TO " FICTIONAL ".

my point is that you shouldnt call constructive critisism Hate. You also shouldnt rate a pack 5 out of 5 just because it is the authors first pack even tho the quality is trash.

I think it is decent for his first models but it does not meet most of the expectations you would have on a normal pack. I am not hating and I will quote C13 on this

It's a good pack, although the els needs improved in the chevy and the dodge and chevy are invisible when looking at them from a distance. For a first car pack i think it is very good keep updating and it will be a great addition to someones game.
