Reflective LAPD Textures on police sedans pack 1.0.0

(8 reviews)

7 Screenshots

A big thank you goes out to Jedahdiah for giving me step by step on creating steady burns.

Please do not upload to any other site.

Credits and Install are in the download.

Here is my  version of LAPD.

I know some of the lighting set up is incorrect as is some of the interior equipment.

So no need to comment on that. 👍

The steady burns can be turned off by editing the vcf

The ALPR is set to extra_11, so it can be disabled if you wish ( except on the CVPI )

All textures are reflective and all of these vehicles give you the opportunity

to create your very own reflective textures without the hassle of using Zmodeler3

The reflective parts are...

All doors from the bottom of the windows to the bottom of the doors

Front wings

Rear quarter panels

Trunk/Boot lid face

Rear bumper face ( excluding the Taurus )

I have removed the door trim on the Impala and CVPI for visual reasons

When making a reflective texture

Put whatever you want to reflect light on a CLEAR background, save it as 'Reflective texture' and replace the 'Reflective texture/livery' in the vehicles .ytd

I advise not having anything black or any unit numbers on the reflective texture

You can install multiple liveries as long as there are no unit numbers on the parts listed above

(Roof, 'C' pillars and trunk/boot top are OK)

SUV's will follow soon.

Enjoy

I will add a texture tutorial within the next day.

Feel free to use for clans FiveM YouTube etc etc etc.

There are a lot more inaccuracies than that. I wouldn't call this LAPD pack.

I'm not saying it's bad, it's just not LAPD.

The pack isn't primarily based on LAPD. It's geared more toward other texture creators so they can create their own reflectives. It originally had Dickson County Sheriff textures on it, but as I found an Arjent that worked, i swapped out the Liberty for that. If I wanted to make an exact LAPD pack I would have. I have other Lightbar varients to add to the pack too, Liberty, Valor and Edge 9000 plus slicktops, so the pack is far from finished. As each Dev is releasing a new model, I spend the time converting it, so there's still about 15 + vehicles to do.

will these fit over the LAPD Mega Pack vehicles so we can actually have LAPD lighting or separate vehicle models that we find online?

No bud. To make reflective textures, you have to use Zmodeler3 and do some copying and editing of the model its self. Any reflectives people wish to make, will only work with these specific models

ooooh ok somehow i misread the file on mobile as being textures only. My bad. Vehicles and skins do look good though.

why call it an lapd pack? doesnt look remotely close to lapd just a reflective skin slapped on cars with arjents and spotlight placement on some of them isnt very accurate

@Officer Wade Hey loving the your work, I've been working on some things early days yet though, On the charger I find when I put a police on the bonnet area on the  reflective layer and save it, it does not show on model, If I put it in the textures layer it show's up, is this a fault or am I screwing this up ?.. Great work though looks so cool thanks see pics 1 and 2

The bonnet isn't set up for reflective bud. Only the sides and back. Looks good though.

Glad you like bud. I'm currently working on a Paleto Bay PD pack. Loosely based on Hawthorne PD in California

can you use paint.net to create reflective skins?

Keith.

Yes, But you have to modify the car using Zmodeler3 too
