EDIT: I made a whoopsie, within the .rar files contained an APK file that I didn't fully inspect like I should've. Although I will not plea guilty, I want to be very clear here folks, I support developers, I do not support piracy. All files have been updated to remove the APK provided. Please obtain Unified Remote from your Playstore/App Store, even though there may be other ways of doing so. For the sake of ~$1.99, you've got access to using custom remotes.

 

Do you use a controller/wheel? Ever get sick of having to drop your controller or look under your wheel to hit a combination of buttons on your keyboard? Forget all that. With this "remote", you can stand your tablet or phone next to you, and at the click of a button you can operate many key aspects of LSPDFR and it's respected plugins.

In order for this to work, you must have Unified Remote server installed on your computer and running. For more information, view the readme. 

 

This also works on IOS, download "Unified Remote" from the appstore! 

Warning! Unfortunately you'll be required to make an in-app purchase in order to use custom remotes such as this. If I can recall, it's no more than $2. It's not a monthly subscription, it's a one time buy and the app it's self is useful in many other ways other than LSPDFR.

 

Known Bugs:

  1. Buttons are not working like they're supposed to. Fix: Most likely, your computer is lagging, could be from high CPU/Memory usage. If this happens, open up remote.lua and replace all the values "os.sleep(60)" with "os.sleep(80)". If problem still consists, raise the value even higher. 90, 100, 110, etc. Save the file, reboot the server!
  2. Sometimes the buttons do nothing when pressed. I do believe I know the issue at hand, I'll try to find a way to make the buttons more responsive. 
  3. No Button Color on both Android and Apple. Because of the way it's coded (mostly because unified remote is very limited with what code works and don't, you MUST have "Light" theme enabled in preferences, not dark. Otherwise, the buttons will not work. If you're stubborn like me and choose to use dark theme anyways, open up the XML file, and find & replace "light=" with "dark="

WARNING: If you do not have stock keymappings for the plugins this remote uses, you WILL have to change the mappings within the remotes lua file (remote.lua). For more information, read the readme. (It's not hard at all to change the key mapping)

i downloaded the app and the server and everything works exeppt when i put your file in the custom server the readme says "In the remotes tab, hit the "add new" plus button, click "Other" and click "LSPDFR Emergency Response System" but when i get in the add new section there is no Other button? am i doing something wrong? 

Never mind i figured it out! do i just buy the 99 cent extra remote in more features/addons?

I can't seem to get it to work in-game from my iphone, any idea's on how to fix this?

 

*Everything is installed and works on my phone to the server, just isn't engaging in-game*

That is weird. So you're saying if you open a notepad, and press a button, the correct keystroke will work? For example, hitting stage 3 lights will print "j" three times? If so, maybe try running GTA V in windowed? Other than that I'm at a loss. Maybe the log might tell you more on the server manager.

yeah, works just fine and not if I open a notepad still nothing in-game. Works fine on note-pad and on the computer until I go in-game....

Great tool to use, however one thing I do wish the "Lighting System" page had was a button for the horn.

That would be awesome. I found myself going back to the keyboard for my siren controls simply because there is no horn on the app. But otherwise, it's a great tool.

Finally got it installed but when I press all the buttons it does a screenshot every time. For instance; going through the intersection and pressing wail it screenshots like 4 times if I hit it 4 times.

I have to say, fantastic work, really, fantastic work !  Absolutely loving this , really adds to the realism !  I cant help but think this mod, hasnt got the exposure that it requires as it really is worth using !

Would it also be possible to have a radio simulated within this control , using the status menu plugin , for example when  we report status updates via the MDT , these are received by dispatch and so on, The ability to switch radio channels, from city, highway, fire, sheriff/county etc, 

 

Even the ability to run record searches and use the MDT, via the device leaving the screen free to continue running ambient GTA, if that makes any scene ?  

 

Maybe abit of customisation, for example custom button layouts and backgrounds, make this like your own personal department MDT , 

 

I would love to see this pretty much turn  into a real life portable MDT , i think the basic bones and mechanics for this are there, its just a case of implementing them.

You have to make sure that the remote is running as administrator. I found that out just messing around,I had the same issue

Run as admin with the remote tool on your pc. I might make a video show coming the mod with the authors permission of course
