XScanner is an LSPDFR Scanner replacement/addon.

 

Features:

 

  • Full XAudio2 support.
  • Multiple output device support, play background scanner on one device and police scanner on another.
  • Multiple audio emitters to choose from; player, player vehicle, police vehicles.
  • Customizable distortion effects for the police scanner.
  • LSPDFR relay.

  • Supports all known audio formats, and then some.
  • Police Scanner playback (frontend and 3d).

There is the possibility of editing the ini manually, but I do not recommend it due to the complexity of this plugin.
Everything can be changed through the menu (default: F8)
If you already have something bound to F8 you can either:

 

  • change the menu key through the consolecommand
    SetXScannerMenuKey
  • manually open the menu through the consolecommand and change the menu key from within the menu.
    OpenXScannerMenu

 

 

Installation: Place files from the "Grand Theft Auto V" folder into your game installation folder.

Fix:

  • updated hook scanner
  • fixed streams 403-ing due to changes on broadcastify's end and showing up as down.
  • fixed landmarks not properly being used


Changes:

  • Folders under GTAV\LSPDFR\SCANNER are no longer selectable as the Preferred Audio Folder from the menu,
    as this folder is generally a bigger mess than your grandmothers random trash drawer.
    Use folders in GTAV\PLUGINS\LSPDFR\XSCANNER\Audio instead, which will still show up in the menu.
    You can still set the folder to GTAV\LSPDFR\SCANNER itself however.
    This will NOT break any dispatch replacements.
  • changed normalization divider to 32768 instead of 32767

Go to the broadcasify page of the agency you want to listen to.  in the webpage address bar should be a number as an example:

"https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/20296"  the ID is 20296.  Hope that helps.

hello there sir, i just download the new update today and it seems like it broke Grammar Police dispatch sound because mine was gone completely no sound. however removing the x-scanner makes it normal again

Same here. I use immersive dispatch and the dispatch has gone almost silent. Same issue with ultimate backup too.

2024 Update: The plugin works amazingly well. Thanks for rewriting it and really making it one of the best plugins for immersion. Radio chatter is a constant companion to law enforcement, therefore it is nice to be able to use real life radio 😊

I use older version of this mod but whenever ı reinstall new update version scanner nothing changed still cannot hear any audio whats the problem of this help ?

Also XScanner keeps failing to find certain audio files from AAIC that exist and “ditching request” since updating… reverting to previous version from January doesn’t resolve the issue even though it was working flawless beforehand.

Thank you for taking a look. I have no idea about placeholder ones but the AAIC/misc sound files from various folders are still all there. The plugin in question is sourcing from ‘Crimes’, ‘UNIT_SIGHS’, etc.— I have not renamed, edited or messed with addresses of these files in any way when updating.

aaic is calling files that dont exist and placeholder files (that obviously dont exist either), theres not much i can do about that.
it's not your fault, its on the plugin's side.

Scanner audio plays just fine when removing XScanner. I don’t know what else to tell you, friend.

Of course it plays without xscanner because the default player doesn't perform validity or sanity checks. It is intended behaviour.

Apologises, it occurred me that you’re effectively handling in blocks and it’s a specific offending file that was cancelling out entire lines—the issue has been resolved on my end. Thank you for your time. Hopefully you look into report function.

you will need to provide your ragepluginhook.log, most likely its because of faulty broadcast id's

Incredible mod, but I have a bug, I don't know if it's from me or the mod, but the problem is that I activated play during callouts and pursuits and that doesn't work, the moment I start a callout it stops playing audio, I also have play from shoulder activated and I disabled it but it still has the same result, I would appreciate any help.
