What does this plugin do? This plugin adds a realistic body cam overlay and also plays the sound every 90 seconds (by default, can be configured).

You can change:

The time between the beeps
The serial number in the overlay
The model text in the overlay
The logo and sound
A manual toggle key to activate/deactivate the overlay
The general overlay scale
The date
If it works in every view or first person only

A legit copy of Grand Theft Auto V
RAGE Plugin Hook

Installation:

1. Copy the files from the .zip into your Grand Theft Auto V\Plugins\ folder.
2. Check the .ini file in Grand Theft Auto V\Plugins\BodyCam\ and adjust the settings and keybinds to your liking.
3. Load the plugin via the RAGE Plugin Hook settings or ingame via the console and enjoy 🙂

How to use the custom logo/sound:

Logo: Place a .png with the logo of your choice (and preferably transparent background) in the Grand Theft Auto V\Plugins\BodyCam\ folder and name the file "custom.png".
Sound: Place a .wav file with the sound of your choice in the Grand Theft Auto V\Plugins\BodyCam\ folder and name the file "custom.wav".

Don't go too crazy with the logo/sound files and keep them as small as possible in terms of file size. Larger sizes might cause issues/crashes.

Yes, the whole plugin is meant to be only active in first person.

We might implement the third person mode at a later point, but no promises.

Hi, I have one issue.

When syncing to system-time in-game, the formatting of the DD/MM/YY is wrong and messed up (there are some odd characters that appear) - please update with a fix.

Got a screenshot of that? First time hearing that, and don't know what could mess it up. I do know that some other mods or trainers might mess with the date/time, but that wouldn't be something I could fix.

Same issue here. Whenever using the simple trainer to sync the system time, the date and year all messed up, it will show the incorrect date such as: 05/21/2000 or 1990

I don't have GTA installed anymore, but as soon as it finishes downloading I can look into fixing this. Have you tried other trainers, is it only simple trainer or do they all do the same thing? Is it only when you sync to system time, or do other time settings cause it as well? I don't know how the time sync settings work, but I have a rough idea of how I could fix it, or maybe at least just fake it.

i dont want to be zoomed in to camera view via first person to hear the beep. anyway to fix this so i can hear it zoomed out where i can see my whole player?

Could you give us the option to enable if the overlay appears in third person? The fixes are really good now but the addition of the camera in first person and having to toggle a key to turn it off is kinda frustrating

Not sure if I am installing it incorrectly, or if it is a bug with the latest update, but the newer version of BodyCam seems to not be working for me. The BodyCam stays on my screen, whether I am in FPV or TPV, it is always there. The timely beep also does not occur, and my game usually crashes 10-15 minutes into the session.

First one is actually a requested feature, and it's also in the patchnotes:
