What is this mod all about ?

- This mod/files makes the car headlights and brakelights/backlights/tail lights dark and at the same time makes Emergency Lights
bright, as many people have requested.

- I have now (in version 1.3) fixed the taxi sign so it is no longer bright!

- Version 1.4 added 2 options "Emergency lights on wall/buildings" and "No Wig-Wag Lights".

What do this mod replace ?

- It replaces these lines in visualsettings.dat:

"car.headlight.day.emissive.on            10.00
                TO 
  car.emissiveMultiplier                     2.00"

-It also replaces the taxi.ytd file to make the sign dark!

- Taxi Sign is now fixed and no longer bright!

- Added optional folders "Very Bright" and "Bright"

- Added a file called "Screenshots"  / now able to see the ss of the beaty visual.

INSTALLATION

 

(ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP OF ORIGINAL FILES)

                     For The VisualV.oiv File: 

 -  VisualV: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/visualv

1. Install OpenIV - http://openiv.com/WebIV/guest.php?get=1
2. Run OpenIV, click Tools -> ASI Manage and install ASI Loader and OpenIV.asi.
3. Click Tools -> Package Installer and choose VisualV.oiv.
4. Choose Install to mods folder.

5. Run GTA 5 and have fun 😄

 

                     For The Visualsettings.dat File:

1. Run OpenIV -> mods -> update -> update.rpf -> common -> data 
2. Press " Edit Mode " and Replace the old visualsettings.dat (drag and drop). 
3. Press " Edit Mode " again to make sure everything saves.
4. Run GTA 5 and have fun 😄

 

                     For The Taxi Sign FIX:

1. Grand Theft Auto V> Mods > x64e.rpf > levels > gtav > vehicles.rpf
2. Locate and open taxi.ytd
3. Replace the taxi_signs_2 with the taxi_signs_2.dds file I have provided.
4. Run GTA 5 and have fun 😄

 

                     For The Emergency Lights On Walls And Buildings:

1. Drag & drop the Scripts folder and the ELS.ini file in your main GTA V directory.
2. Run GTA 5 and have fun 😄

VERSION 1.0

Does this work with ELS because I'm not getting the coronas with any version of BEL I install.  I like how it cuts down on the headlight/taillight though.

 

Also, is there an uninstall for the OIV automatic install version?

This mod has no reponsibility for coronas in fact, I just shared my settings on carcols.ymt for thoose who DON'T want coronas. If you want coronas there is a lot of mods out there. And this mod works with all vehicles and evertyhing.

Lexin11, I'm now using your mod and it fixed what I was looking to fix.  I don't know if it's coronas, bloom or what, but it's the shine around the police lights.  While I was happy with the other mod reducing the headlights/taillights and reflecting on walls, something had gotten changed and the actual lights on the car had no shine/bloom/corona around them, they were just square colored LEDs that flashed on and off. Your visualsettings fixed that and makes me very happy as I have been trying to hunt this problem down for some time. Thank you.

    The Taxi Billboard is still a little too bright at night even with your taxisign replacement image. Do you think you could turn it down a good bit more. Should light up, but not glow.

    i have a small problem with this mod my problem it's the yellow light it's very bright  like in the photos how can i fix that i install the bright folder not very bright

    Hi Tea2030! Is that light a cruise light? Extra light or an emergency code light. If it is then it might be little weird because I'm from sweden and I use swedish vehicles which don't include these kinds of lights. Try messing messing with the visual settings where the "carheadlight" are located. There should be one called "Extra light emmesive". Try lowering it down. If you have any other problems, feel free to ask them!

    You know like how cops have red light inside? that only they can see inside but others outside cannot see them inside with the red light

    Hmm, it might be something with your car model. Try contacting the maker of the car and maybe do a new version with fixed bug.

    Love this alot, looks amazing, it's hard for me to choose the right graphics mod for my i5-3570 processor 8GB Video Ram, X64 based pc, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 ti graphics card @ 1920x1080i resolution on a 51' flatscreen HD Tv.

    Hey Guys! 
    I'm finally back and will deliver the best visual lights ever.

    Some news: 
    - 1.6 is pending approval, it's not a big of an update but still updated some pictures and bugs. 
    - Within these weeks I will try to make a new big update for this mod, I'm planning to add a new file that contains all realistic lights/graphic lights (not like visualV or anything like that) but more like how it would look like in real life, how bright and how fast/slow? My vehicles in game are often from Swedish modding so I will maybe do specially for his vehicles. Let me know what you think. 
    - Please email me or message me of any bug or something that you would like to be added to this mod.

    If you mean the map "Emergency Lights On buildings and walls" then yes it affects the walls and buildings but not the other files.

    Hi, so does this do what RadianceV does?  After installing RadianceV, it wasn't just the Taxi lights too bright but also the Buses, Train and Subway Train were too bright also.  Do you have a fix for those to or just the Taxi fix?  Also if your mod is the same as RadV do you know what differences there are between the two?  Besides yours is updated lol.
