LOS SANTOS LIFEGUARD MINI-PACK

2016 Chevrolet Impala PPV

2010 Ford E350 Super Duty

The Los Santos Lifeguard is responsible for the welfare of coastal visitors in the County of Los Santos. This ranges from lifesaving services and proactive education of the dangers of water, to law enforcement in association with the San Andreas Parks Authority. This pack provides the ability to serve the needs of this agency, without resorting to boring vanilla and non-ELS models.

This pack contains two models, matched with textures.

  • 2016 Chevrolet Impala PPV
    • Equipped with emergency response equipment, in order to get to callouts faster and safer!
    • Equipped with a versatile Thule bike rack and Scorcher pushbike to increase the versatility of your patrol.
    • Marked for easy identification of LS Lifeguard personnel.
  • 2010 Ford E350 Super Duty
    • Equipped with emergency response equipment, in order to get to callouts faster and safer!
    • Equipped with a rack to hold official surfboards and other equipment.
    • Marked for easy identification of LS Lifeguard personnel.

Credits and installation instructions are included within the download. If I have missed you out of the credits, please let me know via PM and I will make an amendment! This modification requires Emergency Lighting System (ELS).

I also recommend the use of the following modifications with this one!

handling.meta crashes my game for sure...is there a fix for it? I'm not down to verify the game cache until I know someone has/hasn't made their own.

How did you fix the game crash? When I installed the handling.meta file, it would crash my game on startup.

@HappyJoker You have to copy the contents from his handling meta, and paste it into the main handling meta.

Have to find the correct lguard line, of course.

Are you going to fix the plate on the Ford?

@SgtFluffy For some reason I am having a problem with the lightbar and windows being completely black. I have tried everything I know in order to fix it, but I'm coming up short. I changed the metas and I'm playing with the tint in the trainer, but nothing works. Have you had any problems with this?

Edit: Ok, I figured out how to get it to the point where I can remove the tint using the trainer, but why is it there in the first place? The meta has the no tint setting?

Edit 2: Ok, I got it. I thought I dragged the saved meta into OpenIV, but I guess I didn't. Thanks for your time.

@SgtFluffy Sorry to keep bugging you but I thought you might want to know that the textures for the light-bar on the truck cannot be edited at all. Every time I try to go ahead and replace the light-bar texture with my own edited version it will not let me.

@WillUnderscore, why must you utter such a pligaric thing about those who use vanilla option. The fact that you typed out "without resorting to boring vanilla and non-ELS models."  makes you look like a close-minded schmuck modder, instead of one that accepts the modding community for what it is. With those sort of words, you're just decaying your reputation at that rate you're going.

Hi @Officer.Barbrady,

Thank you for your comment, I always love to hear from the community. I'm afraid I don't know what "pligaric" means, as I speak modern English, like the rest of the world. I had a quick Google, and I can assure you I'm not bald (my dad does have a receding hairline however).

It seems as though I've upset you in some way, but I'm not sure how. It seems as though my opinion has insulted yours?

As far as the modding community goes, I'm not interested in "reputation". As a matter of fact, I've made all kinds of mods and have released a whole lot of free-to-use graphics to a community that I'm a part of.

I've made skins, a few models, server and client scripts. I do it because I enjoy it, not because I want people to like me.

The comment that I made in July 2017 was because there was no ELS lifeguard mods available at the time, and I ordered my full fleet of mods to be ELS, and so I did what I could to change that.

I can, of course, see both sides of the argument, and that vanilla has its place, often on server environments.

I do still prefer ELS, and I'm sorry that offends you.

I look forward to seeing your own take on vehicle models contributed to the community.

Kind regards,

WillUnderscore

The word pligaric has more than one meaning, but that is not the context of my response to you. I have no issue with ELS at all, especially when it is paired with vanilla vehicles. And I'm not offended by ELS either. My issue is that you decided to insult those who use vanilla vehicles and options by stating, "without resorting to boring vanilla and non-ELS models." I also apologize if I didn't calfiy myself in my previous post in terms of what I was referring to at the time. as for reputation, I'd assume most modders want a decent one, and aim to avoid insulting the ways uders do things, which you didn't. I just would like to suggest you avoid doing that, as you appear to be quite a talented modder, and it saddens me a tad you put that insult in there. Anyway, I'm glad that you're being civil about this. As for making my own stuff, I'm not that good and don't have the dedication for it. But, it is what it is.

@Wilhelm

Hi!

Nice mod (but to bad you missed rescue cans at the back of the truck).

But still good I am using it in my game, as I like this model better then the original)

But I am make this comment as I am in my game are using a modified texture I have made. It is based on the orginal Lifeguard truck, but also a little imoroved. The important thing with my texture is that its verry clear that the truck belongs to Los Santos County Lifeguard. And I want your permission to publish it here on lspdfr.

Best regards
