IT IS FINALLY HERE!

RadioRealism™ AlphaV1 - a BuddaModz™ Creation
The RadioRealism Project Aims to provide more immersion and realism to the police radio audio in LSPDFR. Currently this 'Beta Teaser'  changes key radio audio files with custom edited, high quality replacement audio based on real world radio tones, squelches, key clicks, beeps etc.

Included in the Public Alpha Version 1:
→ Custom from scratch Radio Traffic audio File replacements for the entire resident folder; All audio files in the RESIDENT folder are now replaced with custom radio sounds created from real world radio equipment sounds and all files have been hand picked, and created from scratch by me.

Planned in the next version:
→ Recreate from scratch common general audio files with real human voices for the Beat, Division and Unit Type audio. Female voice will be produced first, Male voice to follow in future updates. Additionally, future stage updates will also include recreations of all other general audio such as conjunctives, crimes, locations, streets, etc.

Please make sure to visit my Discord for more information on where the project is headed and learn about the next stages of development to get an idea of how big of scope the project aspires to be. RadioRealism and RadioRedux will be the new standard in LSPDFR Radio audio.

My Community Discord can be reached via buddarocks.com

I know I could just install it and find out on my own, but I thought I would ask before I go through the work of doing it if that "cackle" before and after every tone is there in the game as it is in the video link? They sound superb from what I can tell, but the cackle is something I'm not a huge fan of.

I am not sure which tone you are referring to as the "cackle". Bit I will reiterate that all the tones are created from actual real world tones - though it is a mix of different models of motorola, boefeng etc. Due to the plugin randomly choosing which into and outro play before and after a call, no the same tones do not play everytime.

That being said, there are only three outro tones and two intro tones in the architecture of the audio files and without coding a plug in to over ride the way LSPDFR handles  use of the tones in the resident folder (and possibly affecting frames, and possible performance hits on the game) it kind of "is what it is" if that makes sense.

Additionally These are direct replacements for the tones in entire resident folder and the file names have not changed as far as the plug in is concerned. This allows for customization to use only the files (tones) you want to use. May I suggest you download  it, open both the download ed files and the existing resident folder and play the tones with media player or similar, and decide which ones you want to use and which ones you want to remain the "stock" plug in audio files.

One last thing to add as well - is that the demo video does not demonstrate all of the tones included as that video was done during the beta while stage one was still in development so it is possible that there may be a tone in there you're hearing that was replaced with something better.

is this compatible with Better Dispatch Audio?

Yes as BDA does not replace any files in the resident folder, RadioRealism and BDA work great together!

Highly recommended

I use RadioRealism with BDA and it works great.  I think RadioRealism is a great compliment to BDA IMO.

@BuddaRocks Not sure if you know, but the link to the blog isn't working.  I got to it the long way, going to buddarocks.com/ and finding it that way.   I notice that when I hover over the link in the description above the colon (:) is missing after the http.  This is what the link is showing http//buddarocks.com/calling-all-cars-radiorealism-coming-soon-for-lspdfr/.  Thought I would bring this to you attention.

I thought that this did not work with Better Dispatch Audio so I deleted it  months ago, now i see comments that it does work with BDA. Awesome. Time to reinstall :-)

Like this... but some how I'm not hearing the "I'll take that" when you don't respond to a call anymore.

I'm happy to try and answer some questions about the future of RadioRealism. Feel free to shoot me a private message and ask away!

Thanks! Im not quite sure which audio you are referring to.  The current RadioRealism version only replaces the resident folder which is comprised of radio tones, squelches, etc. There is not any audio files in the Resident folder that contain speech.

Are you using BDA? I use BDA alongside RadioRealism and I still receive the various audio replies from other unit when I do not take a call.  Please feel free to provide me more info so I can help you figure it out. Thanks!

I'm looking into this. BDA does not replace any files in the resident folder as far as I know.

Great mod and sounds but there is a lot of audio popping on certain sounds. Hope you can fix that in the future as I love the sounds themself!

I'm curious to know which sounds you are experiencing "popping" with. All of them were mastered at 320KBPS, and thus far You're the only one experiencing this issue that I am aware of.  Please feel free to contact me if you have the time. I appreciate the feedback and would like to know more about your experience so if there is an issue it can be resolved!

Thanks!

It is weird that I am the only one reporting on this now. So I just grabbed a file from your mod that had the most blatant popping and I don't think the problem is on my part.

So I grabbed your ''DISPATCH_INTRO_02'' and threw it simply in Audacity and then toggled the viewer to give me a spectrogram log(f) view and look at this: d4c5e59488ca8d77548b1b3d90b67ada.png

At those exact 2 spikes you see, the audio pops. I listened to it in 0.1 speed and it is very noticeable. You can also see a slight pop at the start. There are more files like this with lesser popping but this one shows it the best.

So...I am not an audio expert or anything but if its in the files then the problem can't be on my end right?

I must have missed one or two them during mastering. I will rework 'em and update the files. Thank You very much for the input and legwork!

This is really full of clicks and pops.  I even manually edited some (like the DISPATCH_INTRO one) to remove them, and absolutely no clicks are audible in Audacity, but they nevertheless are in game.

All the sounds in Alpha are being re-edited. Some people have the pops some don't. An updated version will be released soon. Thanks for checking it out!

I love it and I had another question what car was that in the video I really love that car too

Yeah, that car is pretty awesome and I totally want it.

My question is if this project is still going on, because something  updated from this would be fantastic.

Great mod budda! Adds a jump of realism from dispatch! I did a tutorial and showcase as well of this mod for anybody that needs help!

Hmm, I don't know about this... All of the audio files seem cut-off and end out of nowhere is that intended? Cause in my case it makes a glitchy sound, like a loud click, never really came across something like this
