Holy hell this thing is a Christmas tree and a half. It's setup is about as ugly as you can get. I wish it was the Fusion in the video instead. Do people actually like this kind of setup?

Yes, me and my friends (mcso_204, 72will, johnm) all decided this was a good setup. Sorry you don't feel that way, I made this Connecticut style (lighting it up for christmas)

I agree. The rear lights look like they cover up the entire window causing little room to see. No department uses lights the size of a van ( over exaggerating of course, but you get the idea ) Devin, some people do like christmas tree setups and I get that but you only do those types and it gets old. I myself and I know most enjoy simple setups that get the point across. You really just stick lights wherever and call it good. I've never seen cars setup like this..At all.

@t0y Police detectives have little to no equipment in their vehicles, usually turning on the siren and lights with a small handheld controller in the center console or a switch hidden under the dash. I left the watermark on the dash display to not fade away the work done by Carlos PC Gamer to convert this vehicle. And yes, while the ford fusion titanium is not a popular pick for police departments, it could be used as a police personal response vehicle. (common with detectives) (http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2002/Jun/16/ln/ln08a.html)

I'm sorry, but I gotta say it. I lived in Connecticut for 12+ years. Not once did I see a set up like this, never mind on a civilian car.

And in that case a "detective" vehicle, first of all would at least have a radio, maybe a laptop, but regardless maybe 2 deck lights, and 2 grill lights, and maybe some dash lights not a christmas tree setup. (You can just see the video you linked) and yes it could be a PPRV, but no city would use this as one, hawaii is unique and they use lightbars and would never let their officer have no police equipment, and a SPOILER on their car unless its a bait car or an undercover car.

You're cherrypicking special vehicles from departments across the state to make your argument. That's like me taking a picture of one of the cars in my city and saying an entire state uses the same lighting set up. CT is known for it's conservative lighting set ups.

Plus, you're telling me that the state with this set up for their state police has a "Christmas tree set up"?

Dude, c'mon. You have really awesome potential. You have the resources and skill to make a realistic vehicle. But you post something with 390,000 polys and an identical _hi.yft file and .yft file?

Here are a few cars from around the state.

I'll say it again. I'm not trying to say that your work is shit or anything like that, but I just feel that some criticism is a good thing.

Yep, I yotally agree with you man, there is a select few vehicles in the state that have christmas tree setups. I am sorry if I sounded in any way trying to insult you or anyone else who mentioned me, because I wasn't trying to. It's more like I really like these kind of setups, rather than the majority of emergency vehicles in the state having them. The thing that got me in to these kinds of setups in the first place was the overkill lighting on my local department's new trucks (A dodge ram utility chassis for the Cos Cob Fire Police and a technical/marine rescue f350 for the Sound Beach VFD. Since I had seen photos of select vehicles from hartford and old saybrook, I just wrongfully assumed that the whole state was like that. I also want to apoligize to anyone I may have offended with my vehicles, and that most of my upcoming vehicles will not be christmas trees, since I really want to deliver to the community as well as to myself. Thanks everyone for your critisism, and your honest opinions

Maybe you should remove those ions on the wing and just maybe it would look a little better. But over all it still needs some improvement.

Theres so much work that needs to be done on this car. 1.) You say you make your models realistic to police vehicles in Connecticut, well Id like to know where because I spent about an hour looking for a ford fusion that looks anything like that. 2.) Theres a lot of things that need to be done on the lighting. I've never in my life seen Slimlighters that are that BIG. 3.) Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like the TA is simply just floating there and not even connected to anything. 4.) I see there's a dash cam module in there but is there actually a dash cam in the vehicle? I couldn't see one. 5.) And finally, you linked a video to a vehicle that really all you have in common with is the fact that its a Ford Fusion, thats about it. Maybe model after that actual vehicle.

And as for @OfficerUnderwood that comment made me laugh because I feel the exact same lol

Lord have mercy. I'm sorry but this needs a LOT of work. Like @jumperman09, no department in their right minds would have a HUGE lightstick in the back. Please actually put time and effort into a model with general realistic setups. I'm sorry but this is completely half-assed. You put no time and effort into this model. You took a bunch of lights and put them on a car without even consulting RL pictures of Ford Fusions. I know a lot of people like realistic setups if the cars aren't lore friendly. I could understand a general detective look if it wasn't for the mirror lights, spoiler lights or the huge fucking TA in the rear window.

Just as Him said the amount of lights you are using for this car is ridiculous and it's not just this car. It is all your other cars too. Also for some reason you continue to use the same lights. Don't be lazy convert something new and try something different. In no way am I saying Christmas trees are bad, but you must use proper judgement on  what kinds of cars you're gonna make into Christmas trees.

This is pretty well, god awful. I'm genuinely curious as to what work you actually did on the vehicle besides cramming as many lights onto the poor vehicle as possible. I mean you literally took a base model and slapped as many lights as you could onto it. Everything about the model is stock, as if you spent 5 minutes in Zmodeler and said "perfect", sorry but no. Also, what is with that disclaimer? There is absolutely nothing about this that is realistic, this vehicle has more lights on it than my Christmas tree did.

What makes it worse is that (and others have stated this already) you have some nerve to put down other modders' work. You've put down and cherrypicked nearly every one of MrPotato's vehicles, despite being vastly superior to yours (the ratings prove this) and you've put down VEKTR0's skins despite (A) VEKTR0's skins are either satire OR scratched made with actual work put into them and (B), you blatantly rip your skins from other people for example mroxplay and call them your own.  Let's also not forget that you allegedly "forgot" to lock the Tahoe model you did, despite being told to do so -- so god only knows if you even have permission to use this at all.

I think you need to quit spending so much time digging and jabbing other modders' work and spend some more time learning how to actually mod. All of the aforementioned stuff would be forgivable if it weren't for the fact that you insistently go onto other peoples work and blatantly dig and jab their mod(s).

Hopefully you spend more time learning from the actual modelers out there like MrPotato, Him1250, TWISTEDSCOPES, Windows446, SgtGoetz, thegreathah and many others out there rather than nitpicking, digging, jabbing and overall being snide at every possible avenue.

If he's that rude, disrespectful, and critical without the experience... then yea me and every other modeler aren't wasting time on a person like this.

There's no need to be that rude or critical even if he had the experience. I'd like to think that this community is very respectful and equally constructive when it comes to these sort of mods. Meaning beginner mod creators  can release their work without being completely trashed at every possible avenue by the veteran mod creators and learn along the way. Somewhere along those lines this guy managed to stray from that path and decided to be disrespectful regardless of his experience or lack thereof.

Hopefully the bad ratings and equally bad reviews/comments will put this kid in his place and put a bit of humble into him, otherwise this community just isn't big enough for the disrespectful to flourish.

@OfficerUnderwood @MrPotato @SgtGoetz and every other respectable modeler here myself included (sorry I didn't get to others). I think you should stop wasting your time putting other peoples models down, when clearly you don't have the experience everyone else does. I think you should put the time you put into putting other peoples mods down, into actually taking time to learn the craft. I think we can all agree here that each and everyone here had many projects before our first release. It takes time to ensure that everything is good and ready to go.

PS. Upload WIP screenshots and maybe people can give you advice before you release something.

That is if you haven't pissed off every good modeler here.
