Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

You can install siren mods, but to my knowledge your police car will only ever have 3 sirens. In ELS you can change between sirens by pressing the 1/2/3 buttons above your keys. You have those 3 sirens to choose from.

I understand that. But like how the FIB has a different siren form the regular police, and the fire trucks and ambulance has a different sirens as well. Is there a way to change it

Oh, I see. You can edit how the siren sounds for each of those categories, yes (check out the audio files section of the website), but I don't think you can make each individual police car have different sirens if that is what you want.

oh dang. no its like I was gonna have like say the sheriff and highway have the same siren(FIB SIREN) and then the police have the original siren

I'm sorry I don't quite think I understand your question then. Each category can be changed (fire truck siren, FIB siren, police siren), but I don't think anything beyond that can be done.

Ok its like this, every els vehicle has the same exact siren. I don't want that. I want certain cars to have certain sirens.

Oh my bad. I don't think that it is possible but I can't say so with 100% certainty.

I can't say with certainty to be affecting others. I'm experiencing game loading issues, and have pinpointed it to the latest ELS version. May simply be a personally affected issue. Just wanted to post if another person shares my struggle, and was out looking.

I have a problem: since i updated LSPDFR to 0.4, ELS is no longer working. Can someone help me please?

    I have an odd problem and I don't know if ELS is the problem, but maybe someone else has it to: 

    So if I try to do a traffic stop I light the suspect up. No problem so far. However, if that suspect plays stupid I hit my horn (Left Bumper on my Controller) and at that point the AI freaks out and drives straight forward (not sometimes fast sometimes normal) without stopping for anything (driving through Traffic and into walls)

    Try changing "ELSTrafCtrlOn" to false, in your ELS.ini file.

    I really love using this mod, I want to find out something however. Is there anyway to disable the AI from moving out of the way when the lights are in stage three? I disabled the traffic control in the ini but I guess that only controls what the other tones and such do like clearing traffic at an intersection. I kinda what the vehicles to only scatter when I engage the siren and not when I am running stage three unless maybe using the horns.

    Since 0.4 came out my ELS lights are very dim.. i'm using VisualV and i have the settings in GTA set to very high and ultra.. Please Help

    I had the same issue.
    Let me ask, do you have a browser plugin/addon that forces HTTPS?
    If so, disable that and try again.
    Alexander's site is HTTPS, but the way the files are called to be downloaded don't use HTTPS, so anything that requires that type of security will fail when trying to download.
    I've tried reaching out to him, but so far I've been unable to contact him so he can either put a not on his site or change the way files are delivered.

    I found out why it was not working I did not have scripthook v installed

    Daft question but is there a way to increase the length of time on the Siren Scan Mode (Snd_SrnScan) so it doesn't switch as frequently?

    How do I change what lights activate in each mode? Each model seems to have its own configuration, but is that determined by the .xml file or in the model itself? Is there an easy way to change it?

    little late here, but are you thinking of something like controlling different sirens for every emergency vehicles? Something along the lines of Siren Mastery?
