Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

If you read the README included with SirenMastery (the latest version), it tells you how to use it with ELS Vehicles.

Yeah, tried reinstalling a couple times, as well as trying to reinstall some other things and nothing has worked yet.

Restarted my game and started working again. Not sure how or why that happened.

Read the included documents, it tells you what the default buttons are. For me it's "G"

@Lt.Caine Does anyone know why when I press "H" on the keyboard my takedown lights are activated? It's really annoying. The control guide says ] should do it, which it does, but it is also activated when I press h.

    Which vehicle model is it? The vehicle modeler might have linked the takedowns as part of the High Beams as well, which would cause them to turn on with the high beam headlights. I mainly see that being done with non-ELS vehicles, as there wouldn't be a way to toggle the Takedowns on otherwise, but that isn't needed with ELS Vehicles.

    would love to see a two button setup for directional travic advisory (like the right arrow to signal the traffic to move to the right and vise versa)

    I really like this,but after reading the comments, it seems a lot of bugs are not  being addressed, fixed or responded too.

    It has many keyboard conflicts.

    It has many keys that do the same thing!

    It conflicts with the AI,they act wired.

    Backup arrives and just stand there.

    When I blip cars, in some cars the headlights and tail lights turn off

    When arrive on a traffic back up call the unit has no lights on and the siren blaring.

    It crashes when using a ELS ambulance and Better EMS

    Stage 4 lighting should  be stage 1 and work your way down.Exactly opposite the way it is now!

    I have never had some many crashes just starting the game as I have with this on loading the game. It sometimes takes 3  times to get it working!

     

    Please Address the issues people are having in the comment section!

    Please Fix this as I would luv to use it!

    I un-downloaded this mod as I didn't play GTA for quite a while now I am playing again and re-downloaded everything and got rid of my old cars and put new ones in and now ELS doesn't work. Does anyone know what I can do

    When I want to do a traffic stop and press the siren button the blipped vehicle start to go forward and rams everything what's in their way. That's my only problem with this mod. I use ClearTheWayV and KeepCalm mods too. Maybe it's an interference between these mods ?

    It does it for a lot of different vehicles using ELS. I have no idea why. It's the only thing I've noticed that seems funky with ELS for me.

    Don't know if this was answered yet but you can change the key binding in the ELS.ini

    With the controller press DPadLeft and once you have it to stage 3 press dpadDown.

    In the VCF folder set SrnTone2 to false.. For some that siren makes the AI drive forward until they  crash into everything..

    @Lt.Caine Is there currently any way to have the main siren sound be heard for backup units and in-game units while using ELS vehicles? All I hear are Siren tone 2 for all vehicles :(

    Can anyone help me? I have installed a fresh copy of GTA V via Steam and got all the mods installed in the correct place. When I put the ELS folder, ELS.dll, ELS.asi and AdvanceHookV into my main GTA V directory and start up the game, my game crashes at the loading story part. I have removed the ELS related files and start up my game and the game loads fine and works.  My guess is ELS is crashing my game saying, "GTA V Stopped working"..

    Yes, I installed it in patchday14.

     

    EDIT: I'm glad you said that. I deleted his VCF file and the game works! It is his VFC file that is bad.
