Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

ELS was the most desired and wanted mod.  There was so much hype for it, and everyone was excited.  Now, however, we are in a situation where those of us having problems that we cannot solve our own have absolutely zero support from the mod author or from someone who actually worked on the mod.  I get it, Cain may be busy working on the mod, but you can at least make some effort into helping people who have legitimate issues that they can't fix on their own.

 

It saddens me to say this has to be the worst mod in terms of support.

i have the same problem but with the suburban and try to change the provide vehicles.meta to the original one.

I Found out that use the enhanced native trainer update 32 to spawn the vehicle cause the cashes try not use it to spawn any vehicle

I've run into a slight issue.. I have Radiance installed but my lights are still dim. Also when I go to toggle a siren I cannot hear anything. Any help would be appreciated.

you have to press the key J 3 times to get to light stage 3 and then you can toggle the siren by G or 1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6

for the dim lights what vehicle are you using some vehicle have have a black tinted light bar so go into you trainer and go to vehicle mods menu and then you can change the window tint

Unfortunately, my computer is pretty old and ELS slows down perfomance of GTA 5, so I cannot use ELS. But do ELS cars work without ELS mod?

I'm having another slight problem. In my INI list there is no 145 for the scroll lock. I want to change it because that toggles my keyboards back lighting. Any help?

I have a problem where when i turn on the the third stage of ELS, the push bar and other accessories flicker and appear and disappear to the light pattern, it is quite strange and may be a simple fix but any help appreciated!

Thats because you're using a non-ELS vehicle. You have to use vehicles specifically meant for ELS.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the siren stop when you exit your vehicle? For instance, if I'm in a pursuit and the suspect foot bails and I get out and chase them, my siren keeps blaring when I'm code 3. I'd like it to work to where if I "put the vehicle into park", then it'll stop running. I'm sure there's a setting I'm just not seeing it. Thanks!

works that way by design. hit your siren audio  key before you exit the vehicle.

    I'm trying to change the sirens to use the FBI siren but the xml file a tad confusing with siren_1 and siren_2, do I simply just change it to FBI_1 and FBI_2 or do I have to use the sound file name itself?

    Then in that case I think you might not have copied the els file that came with the vehicle into the els/pack_default folder
