Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

First of all:  Can you PLEAShE make this compatible with free my controller?  It's so frustrating to press one button for ELS, and do something else that is GTA standard.

 

@pledge8236  Do what I did.  If I'm using a non ELS car, having siren mastery loaded.  If I use an ELS car, unload siren mastery.  I refuse to use any police vehicle unless I can control the siren.

    yeaa. because ELS take control of the entire dpad, and it interferes with other plugins. thanks though

    it it possible to change gamepad controls ? Loving ELS so far but i wish i had the capability like i do with siren mastery  plus i'll be waiting for Captain 14 pack.. only cars i use.

    Does anyone know how to change scr lk key from disabling the keys because that the key i use to turn on and off my key board led's and its a pain to play without the lights as i can't see the keys without the lights, all and any help is great appreciated, and fantastic work on the mod overall.

    Sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone know if there is a way to change between different lighting formats in game? I know it was possible in GTA IV, and i am not sure if it was done in ELS V.

    What do I do to disable the brake lights from flashing? I've tried turning the coronas to 0 and messing with the DfltSirenLtsActivateAtLstg without any success. I've also tried hiding the coronas elsewhere with no luck.

    Has anyone made an ELS unmarked vehicle that replaces FBI? I made an xml file and named it FBI also put the settings from Police into the FBI.xml file. Does FBI and police4 need a different coding or is it something completely different that I'm doing wrong? :)

    Anyone been playing with ini file yet to enjoy the environmentals ELS offers? I've played a little and it's awesome what it is capable of. I know someone has found the perfect formula though. If you would kindly share your experiences and ideas I would appreciate the input.

    My game is crashing and it seems to be the ELS mod it self to be causing it.. does anyone have any idea what i can do?

    literally the one and only complaint and bug with this mod, is that when you get a traffic stop going, 4/5 times you do this the driver of the car you are pulling over goes retarded and starts driving into the wall or like flooring the car one direction or the other, and if it is a motor cycle it will drive in huge circles...other than that i love this mod completely love it.   but it has damn near killed traffic stops for me...lol

    Honking during a traffic stop causes the AI to drive straight until they flip over or crash.

     

    During traffic stops I can't use the weapon wheel, or the lspdfr computer that is bound to it on controller. Pressing E on the keyboard to try and open the computer causes me to honk, and the AI car to drive straight forever.

     

    I only noticed this now because I don't bother with vanilla traffic stops, but Albo updated his mods today so I did some.

    I have been setting cars up for EVL for over two years now, just stalking the progress of ELS. So I have SOOOO many cars I can release now with sick lighting..... YES. Thank you @Lt.Caine and Friends, this is the best gift ever right before I go on my christmas cruise. Wish I could stay home now. Stay tuned, Major Key Alert, many cars coming from me soon yall

    @Lt.Caine @Bxbugs123 Will this allow for working traffic advisors, that can point traffic in one way or another? If so have you guys added away for the traffic to properly respond to the traffic advisor? This would be quite amazing to have Working traffic advisors in lspdfr. Thanks
