Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released June 28, 20241 yr

Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

Not only that!!To add some more craziness to it you can pick strobe patterns for reverse strobes and headlight strobes!!!

Wow! Now we're talking! Lots and lots of feature and awesomeness in such an easy to install mod! Hats off!

One question though: is it possible to deactivate the controller inputs? (or is it planned to be doable in the future?)

I'm using a controller, but I removed all control bindings I didn't need, and I replaced almost all of the controller buttons to simulate keyboard keys (using xpadder).

So, all in all, I use a controller to presser keyboard keys, which means that ELS controller bindings interfere with my setup.

Also, Ctrl+P brings up the pause menu, but it doesn't show the ELS UI :/ (but maybe that's something with my keybindings)

My lights worked flawlessly with brightness, after this ELS install, all my lights are dim.

Is this a bug? I have already installed Radiance V but still no luck.

Any fix on this dim light issue?

Try a combination of Brighter Lights and ELR - Emergency Lighting Revolution. My lights look flawless.

Can you add the ability to change the control key binding in the .ini because they get in the way of some other mods I use. And I would love to still use it with the controller.

How to you do Brighter Lights? I've already set my lighting as "very bright" from Radiance V.

Do you have to do with display settings? Can you tell me how?

I didn't change any setting, just installed them. If you still have RadianceV installed, that may be your problem. Try removing it. I stopped using RadianceV when I figured out that it could break as well.

Hi, sorry to bother you again, I re-installed all of the cars and verified integrity of game cache and still ELS crashes the game. I wonder if you have anything else I could try?

I only use a carols.ytd mod, I will download and try Make Visuals Great Again.

Edit: It didn't work, still the same bug.

Has anyone figured out custom siren audio yet? Each time I try and put in custom sounds they don't play at all with the mod. Only sirens I can get to work are the stock game ones. Not sure what I'm missing.

Just install them how you would anytime and it should work. Try a different mod, I for example use Gravel Road Cop's Realistic American Siren's.

ELS works great, but please kindly make it possible to bind the "Scroll Lock" to anything else as my computer doesn't have scroll lock lmao ;D

Evening all. First off @Lt.Caine @LMS Great work. Your dedicated hours and hard efforts are truly appreciated by the community. Those complaining need to show some chill and respect what you have accomplished. They couldn't do it themselves so congrats boys on this accomplishment.

Second, question to the community. Everything is working well as I can tell. @Bxbugs123 ELS vehicle is working well. However, I have no controller function for ELS. I do have free my controller modified into the game as I originally needed it for Siren Mastery which I have removed obviously for the time being (Hey @Albo1125 you know we love you). However with siren mastery removed, I still have no controller function. I don't believe I missed any instructions and I've read all the setups. Anyone got any input that might assist me? Thanks.

Have you got controller enabled in the GTA V menu?

Still having the same issue with no bloom for police lights up close. I have my Shader quality on High and my Post FX on high, but still nothing :(

EDIT:

Managed to fix it by adding the mod 'Bright Lights', which enabled bloom to my lights!

Is the clicking sound when the lighting is enabled normal? Or is that just me...
