BetterDispatchAudio 2.2

(39 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Are you tired of hearing "IN, UHHHHHH"? Tired of "DIS BOBCAT 4 EN ROUUUTEE!!!"? So was I. So I fixed that. Better Dispatch Audio (B.D.A.) includes completely new AI Responding Audio (from NFS Most Wanted). Calling for backup (and Helicopter Support) will trigger this. Ending a callout from Albo's "Assorted Callouts" or "Traffic Policer" and finishing up with "BetterEMS" will also trigger new audio, changing "We are Code 4, no further units required" to "All Units you can clear this call, return to patrol". Pursuits are much more immersive. This has been a several weeks long process, with restless nights, and my 1'st mod. I'm happy to release it here for the community. Please let me know what you think of it, and enjoy.

Works with...

LPCallouts

PoliceSmartRadio

HeroCop

AssortedCallouts

TrafficPolicer

AgencyCallouts

BetterEMS

CodeRedCallouts

ArrestWarrantCallouts

PeterUCallouts

ArrestManager

VocalDispatch

Tacco's Highway Callouts

OJ's Plugins

Streetname Addon (All streets)

Standard Dispatch version works with just about any callout pack.

Installation : Simply drag and drop the provided folders to their designated locations. A ReadMe.txt has been provided for your convenience.

A special thanks to mikegolden Games and Gallonman20 on Youtube, for taking interest in this mod, and uploading videos about it. Please check out their channels, as they both do fantastic LSPDFR related Content, plus more :woot:

*Disclaimer* Audio used in these videos is outdated by about a year. These sounds were from the very beginning stages, and the mod is much more cleaned up these days.

What's New in Version 2.2

Released

2.2

If you don't like the Custom Dispatcher's voice, please download the "Standard Dispatch" version. Yes, I brought it back

I've updated this mod, to keep up with all recently released callout packs (including Tacco's Highway callouts released recently, honestly perfect timing bud)

Callout pack not compatible? Link me to it, and I'll see about adding that in. I won't add it if it's no longer a supported plugin however (meaning, incredibly outdated and buggy). The callouts I have now, I have personally verified that they are working properly on the latest RPH and version of GTA.

get no folders when i download this file has this issue been fixed yet?

That issue is not on my side of things. I've double checked (literally) that the download is still working. You're using 7Zip or an equivalent correct?

In that case, I'm honestly not sure what the issue is. Sadly, my only advice is to keep trying, or perhaps try 7Zip instead (I also have Windows 10 and it still works wonders). I really hope you can get this sorted out buddy

No, LPCallouts Dev has implemented his own responses for the plugin, that he finds to fit very well with said callouts. The original issue is that his audio was overwriting mine, or mine was overwriting his. He's since fixed the issue, and therefore I was able to remove the folder from this mod. In short, these two mods work well together

This doesn't seem to change all the audio, and it's very jarring and unrealistic to have the dispatchers switch from one sentence to the next.

Yes, I'm still toying around with changing as much Dispatcher audio as possible. I'm an incredibly busy man however, so it takes a very long time. Thanks for the input, and happy gaming.

I'm glad to hear!  I can imagine it's incredibly tedious work, but thank you for doing it!!

I will say you've given me an idea as a "placeholder" of sorts though... I think I'll go ahead and release a version that doesn't change the female dispatcher audio at all (with the exception of lines such as "In uhhhhhhhh"). It may take roughly a week however.

This is great, look forward to trying it, I seem to recall that GTA San Andreas also has a dispatch mod with sounds from NFS also has a Police Copter mod with the  NFS copter.

Oh man I wish I knew about it in those days lol. Most of all however, I would love to have a program to create proper audio files from scratch. If I had something of that sort, I could replace literally all audio with more relevant responses. But for now that's sadly only a dream. In any case, thanks for the interest here bud!

Okay, here's the Mega.nz link. Choose "Download Through Browser" and with my fingers crossed... It should work.

Damn... Not sure what it could be. If it were plausible I'd just upload the files one by one to you, but there's hundreds lol.

Well I still have one more idea... It could be the Compression Method. I'm trying to downsize some unused files, and do a Normal Compression rather than Ultra. I'll link again once that's done.

Okay, here's the new link. Simply called "PoliceScanner". Also, it could be a program issue. For reference purposes, I'm using 7Zip on Windows 10.
