Update 11/5/16: 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan has been added!

Previous users: The new FPIS has taken the police4 slot and the CVPI has been moved to police7. MAKE SURE YOU RUN THE UNINSTALLER PRIOR TO INSTALLING THIS UPDATE!

After a long wait, I am proud to finally release my LSPD Pack with ELS Style Lighting! This pack now includes a total of 7 Vehicles:

  • police - 2016 Chevrolet Impala Limited
  • police2 - 2015 Dodge Charger PPV
  • police3 - 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Utility
  • police4 - 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan
  • police5 - 2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility
  • police6 - 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV K-9 Unit (slicktop)
  • police7 - 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Demonstration video:

These vehicles have been under development for several months and are fine-tuned and should be relatively bug-free (knock on wood). The installation package will modify your vehicles.meta to allow multiple liveries for all vehicles as well as changing the handling line for the police and police3 slots. This can be easily undone using the Uninstaller package included in the download. All vehicles feature HD 4k skins made by @TrentMU and possess a variety of extras, including:

  • Setina Rambars
  • Stalker Radar Units
  • Panasonic Arbitrator Dashcams
  • Prisoner Partitions
  • Passenger-side Spotlights

Installation Instructions

  1. Launch OpenIV and select Grand Theft Auto V.
  2. Click Tools -> Package Installer.
  3. Select "LSPD Pack Installer 1.0.0.oiv."
  4. Click install and choose whether to install to your mods folder (highly recommended) or directly into your game (not advised).
  5. Launch GTA V and enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: The package installer fails partway through. How can I fix this?

A: The package installer modifies your vehicles.meta to change just a few lines so that the vehicles will be multi-livery enabled and handle correctly. If you are having problems installing the package, please install a clean vehicles.meta into mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/ and then try again. A clean vehicles.meta can be found HERE. Alternatively, you can run the uninstaller package included in the download prior to reinstalling the package.

Q: My package installed successfully but my game is crashing while loading. How can I fix this?

A: If you experience crashing while loading, you probably don't have a gameconfig.xml configured to allow add-on cars. There are a few different gameconfigs which different people are reporting as working. You can find a gameconfig.xml to fix your crashing problem HERE, or if that doesn't work, HERE.

Q: I've installed the package but my lights do not seem to be working. They are showing up in the wrong places or not flashing correctly, why?

A: This mod uses a custom carvariations.meta to assign custom sirensettings to each vehicle included. If the lights are not working correctly, another mod you have installed is causing a conflict with this carvariations.meta. Please check all installed mods for a carvariations.meta file (it will be located in common/data/ within a DLC folder). If you have another carvariations which assigns a sirensetting to police, police2, police3, police4, police5, or police6, delete those vehicle entries from it and see if the issue is resolved.

Q: I've installed the package and my vehicles are working in game, but the lights are not bright like they are in the screenshots. How can I fix this?

A: You will need to install a light-enhancing graphics mod as well as set your Post FX and Shader settings to High. I would recommend installing Radiance V.

Q: I like this pack! Where can I find more vehicles like it?

A: Be sure to check out my Sheriff and FIB Replacement Pack here:

This pack is provided as-is with no form of warranty. These files are not to be modified, redistributed, ripped, or otherwise exploited in any way, shape, or form. These files are exclusive to LCPDFR.com and are not to be reuploaded elsewhere. When uploading textures, do not reupload the vehicle models. only thing i wish that these had was an ability to work with a spotlight plugin, 95% of the cars you cant see it until the spotlight is all the way to the left or right. any idea on that? and this also goes for the sheriff and fbi pack as well

If you use the spotlight script, you can add entries with custom settings for the spotlight.

Can i add these to sheriff and sheriff2? If so, what sirensetting should i use to make it work correctly?

Has anyone tried installing the Tahoe (police6) into FiveReborn in police slot? I have added the carvariations lines from the original file, renamed it to police but the lights are still not working correctly! Really want to stream the tahoe with our community and I just can't get it to work.

@Captain14 Is there a way to stop the SAHP officers spawn in the police4, LSPD car? Or is there a way to change the police4 to an unmarked unit skin, because if I install a police4 from a diffrent creator the lights are messed up.

P.S. sorry if this doesn't make much sense, I'm just starting on modifications for GTA.

@Captain14 For the cvpi, absolutely love the steelies, thank you. However, for the reverse lights, they are still overwhelmingly bright with me.. maybe just make a version without them if you can't dim them enough? Also, the dirt mapping when you first spawn the vehicle covers the back window to where you can barely see the lights. Both issues can be seen in the pic below.

Hi @Captain14

Quick Question, I have just seen a CHP Skin pack for your LSPD Pack.

I was wondering if i can copy the DLC folder for LSPD and change to CHP with the relevant vehicle.meta + carvariations.meta name changes as to what i will call the car files.

I.E. CHP1 and so on.

Please advise as to if this could work.

Many thanks, and loving these packs.

Sorry- I misread or misundersetood. Didn't meant to point out what you already knew.

Could you make a copy of the vehicle files and their carvariations, and replace them like you would any other car- in the mods folder/latest patchday? Seems like that SHOULD work fine- but I had some trouble moving the Tahoe from Police6 to Police3. If you do it right the first time (unlike what I did), it should be easy I'd assume haha

No problem. I tried copying the carvariations from police3 and changing it to sheriff2, but sirensetting 37 didn't work. So i changed it to 1 but that didn't work either.

Are you doing this all within the dlc folder for this pack? Because as I understand it the carcol lines from this pack are in a separate carcol file within that folder and not in your global carcols.ymt.

So assuming siren 37 is from this pack the renamed vehicle files need to be put in the the vehicles.rpf of this pack as well.

@Captain14 or if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

A recent skins pack has been released for CHP.

So i have duplicated the LSPDPACK Folder in the DLC Section. Made all relevant text changes to all the .meta files and the .xml files.

And i have had partial success in doing this. I have all vehicles with CHP Skins working, apart from POLICE2 - which i have named CHP2.

I noticed that POLICE2 isn't in the vehicles.meta for the LSPDPACK and i have double checked this. But with the LSPDPACK, POLICE2 works great but in the new DLC i created and renamed POLICE2 TO CHP2 is stating invalid model.

Is POLICE2 using the vanilla POLICE2 vehicles.meta lines?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

First of all, I love the pack. second of all I have an issue on the Impala in which flips when turning too quick. For example my backup comes in but in a roll over. What handling ID do you recommend?

Your issue looks like its in the window tint. Replace diffusetint line with a code from a car that spawns with no tint.

Naw, even with diffuseTint set to <diffuseTint value="0x00FFFFFF" /> the car spawns with blacked out rear windows like in his screenshot. Manually adjusting the window tint does nothing either because it's the 'dirt mapping'. Cleaning the car fixes the problem.

As @Kilyin said, when you clean the vehicle it solves the issue.

Here's a video for reference. I already PM'd Captain14 about it. I even went back a version and it still does this.

Not sure about the blinding reverse strobes, I don't have that problem as you can see, maybe it's a mod you're using.
