This is a simple script that is based on ragehook to make cars move over when only having your emergency lights running not your siren

no keys because it works as a standalone script what I basically mean is it doesn't need any user interaction it does everything by itself

I am trying to enhance the "default" without script behavior so the pullover behavior or "move over" behavior is improved because to be honest when I play the game every time I get to a crowded area in gta v I keep crashing into people because they don't move over correctly.

So I guess the gist of what I am trying to say is be respectful, don't say the obvious everyone knows this works without a script by default in gta v.

Include your RAGEPluginHook.log file, located in your Grand Theft Auto V folder in a spoiler so it doesn't make the page too long for people not interested on reading the log. This allows me to help you as fast as possible without having to ask you for this information I need to help you, as if I don't get this information I cannot help you because I will not know what is causing the problem and will result in delayed resolution of the problem due to asking you for the needed information before proceeding.... please as said above provide this information with your initial comment (not a review) to allow the most quick resolution of the problem as possible.

README/Install Instructions:

  • extract the dll file from the zip file using 7-zip or winrar or whatever
  • and then copy the dll file to your plugins folder
  • to here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\general\Grand Theft Auto V\plugins
  • and that is where you place the dll file to make this script work
  • If you have your game on any other drive replace the C:\ part with your drive you have the game on.

Important Notice regarding Obfuscation Used to Protect Copyright

Due to using Max Obfuscation Settings inside the .Net Framework Obfuscator that is used to protect copyrighted logic & such inside the software/plugin, it is likely a antivirus might see the obfuscation and several other obfuscation settings like anti-tamper/anti debug/etc that are used to further protect and prevent copyright infringement of the software/plugin as a False Positive.

To Date as of 8/23/2023 there has only been one lesser known antivirus named "Ikarus" that has even thought this plugin is a virus/trojan which it is not and is only due to the extreme protection settings set in the .Net Framework Obfuscator used to protect the software/plugin that causes this.

this right here tells me you didn't put it in the folder with the callouts do that and it will work:

Install Instructions put to your "LSPDFR" folder for ragehook.

^ Try following that above message to fix that as I thought I was being specific I said Plugins/LSPDFR folder which means on a directory path LSPDFR folder would be where you put it at.

So does this mod change the WAY the AI pull over? Like is it less wild and reckless? Besides making the AI abide by a "move over law" I don't understand what else this mod does..

of course it changes the way AI pull over when you're running code2/3 through a very dense populated area you will love this mod because it makes them get out of the way like the cops said in gta iv "clear the streets people....police pursuit" as that has become a reality for gta v now with the script. it has been very helpful have you seen firstthirtyminutes video review on it?

and yes even when you pull over someone for whatever reason it makes the AI act smarter like completely not running you over when you doing a traffic stop. they know with the script honor your a cop and don't try to run you over in the process.

I am definitely crashing less against the AI drivers since I installed this mod, so good job timnboys!

As someone who has developed and released plenty of free tools in the past (nothing for gta - yet), I don't really get why you are getting so many bad comments/reviews. Other very popular (and very good) mods are not perfect either (I hate when I see a tow truck get teleported into the middle of the freeway facing 90 degrees off and creates total havoc and I am not writing bad reviews about it...)

So, kudos on your work and I hope you keep perfecting it and releasing more updates!

Nice to see the LSPDFR pullover compatibility, but I enjoyed using this without needing LSPDFR, mostly because it helps AI cops with traffic, well, as much as the dumb AI allows. I'd be additional work, but separating the LSPDFR part of the plugin from the rest would be great if possible.

Which plugin is this? If you are experiencing problems with a modification I suggest posting a comment on the specific download page as this isn't helping anyone.

I rarely post on here, but if I could make a mod myself and got an offer from @Albo1125 I'd jump at it, because he knows what he is doing.  Learn from the best, can only help improve your mod (that to me seem to behave as intended, to the extent AI in the game ever do at all - almost certain they randomise whether or not to play nice, ha!).  :smile:

 

So, go with the help, and thanks for making a mod and sharing, @timnboys.

I tested the new version and enjoyed the made improvement.

With Albo tips you are going the right way, the cars deviate to the left and right respecting the traffic law, but sometimes a car threw to the side I was on.

And not created the .ini file

I have to say man, i like the first version better.

The traffic was way less nervous then this version.

I am a big fan of albo's work, but your first mod was perfect where i thought the trafiic was very mature and in control.

Agree with blunt. I find this last version a little more erratic than the previous. I'll have to compare the two a little bit more to make sure it wasn't me just having a bad day :smile:

In any case, I think the whole "stupid AI" issue should have been take care of by Rockstar long time ago... I understand that GTA V wasn't developed for RP purposes, but sometimes the level of stupidity of the AI drivers (particularly the ones tasked with certain flags) pisses me off big time..

use the ClearTheWayV_ORIG.zip if you want the original functionity where there "more mature and in control"

download the ClearTheWayV_V<ragehookversion>.zip if you want the newest copy(that isn't the original functionality)

So, there are 3 versions, the original version for RPH 36, then you have the original version for RPH 37 and there's the new version for RPH 37 where you implemented some changes from albo's feedback.

Is this correct?

no the original version is rage hook 36 and works for .37 as well(ClearTheWayV_ORIG.zip) the updated versions that include albo's feedback are in ClearTheWayV_V0.36.zip and ClearTheWayV_V0.37.zip

Keeps crashing when trying to load the plugin and is saying its unable to load LSPD First Response because it cant find the file

could you please read this readme please:

Install Instructions:

extract the dll file from the zip file using 7-zip or winrar or whatever

like so would be your directory path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\general\Grand Theft Auto V\plugins\LSPDFR

I think if you focused on making it more so that when you have someone pulled over, the cars will move to the other lane entirely, Like I talked to you about before @timnboys . That would cause people to LOVE this mod, and stop wasting their time commenting the same words everyone else does. Also, I think you should try to focus on just overall making cops "respected" on the roads. Make the game change entirely when you are driving, the highways slow down while you are driving, but haul ass as usual when you get off their street or highway, and when you are stopped on the side of the road they get over and all of that. Just about making the experience real, and I know sure as shit when I am going faster than I need to be on the highway, the entire interstate slows down when the state troopers or county or city cars drive with them, and there is always about 2 cars lengths of space between traffic and the officer driving. I rambled here, so let me know if this made sense, but I'm sure more people than just me, would love to see this mod transform into the one stop shop for driving as an officer. Thank you for your hard work, I see serious potential here, I can only hope you follow through!!!! :]

I'm wondering, is there some way to make trucks pullover? Or make cars move out of the way when you press the horn while having your sirens on? This way the stationary vehicles blocking the way can move to the side? That would be awesome.

yes I was trying to figure that out as well as I would want that function as well.

Here is what is coming:

  • I got the vehicles to now move over to the lane besides the lane in which the player is in on a traffic stop!

Will get a video assembled soon with this shown as soon as I get fraps up and working.

This will come out in the next update for ClearTheWayV so watch for it!

The update that has this has been released last night.
