Possibly for the base model but as of right now for this model, no.

But what difference does the slot make? I want it to replace the unmarked cruiser, not the normal Police cars... Is there no way of getting around this? I've had other models, I think Prophets, CHP in that slot, and it was meant to be for Police, but it worked fine. 

The light setup is different on most of the models GTA V and this was made specifically for the Police & Sheriff Police slots. You could just always color the car white... as it could be the car color is over taking the model skin material.

Great model.  I have only one suggestion, needs traffic advisor or something in the rear besides the flashing brake lights.

Gonna have deal with what you got as that is not possible with what GTA V has to offer modeling wise. Unless someone found a way.

This is an awesome model! Needs to have different push bar.

The pushbar is like so because it is SAHP based which R* based on the CHP whom use the pushbar.

Ohh ok. would you be able to do a different push bar add on option?

There will be some more models released along the way. A LAPD, LASD, & Generic (This shall contain all types of options).

Yeah, according to @MephistoPheles we can't do anything about that. I wasn't able to change the colour using the SNT either. It has to be used in slot one, unless the author makes corrections to the model. 

BTW,What is interesting is that the state patrol units as your backup will use CVPI in proper color while others don't.

Check all of your vehicle.rpf archives in the DLC folders. There might be a police4.ytd texture that is overwriting the CHP one.

This i one of my favorite! But the only one problem I see. When i tint glass (by trainer) headlights tinted too, and also front glass and back glass still not tinted. Is it possible to fix it? It would be great :)

How do i correctly install this model!

IDK what im doing wrong, I follow every step using openIV and when i install the police.yft and I click to view the model it doesnt apper there like there is no car to look!!?

any help would be appreciated it..

You don't see it in OpenIV for a reason. You install it in x64e.rpf/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf

I installed as your instructions stated and the entire car is black, the logos dont appear and the rear brake lights blink white......I am doing this on a CLEAN backup file to make sure its a clean install.

You clearly must have done something wrong... like not install the YTD files (Texture Dictionary). You must install in x64e.rpf/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf as police and not any other. If this still fails then please re download the file and check the file you downloaded is not corrupt.

Do you have a mods folder?

So I used it to replace my police 4 slot and I'm wondering if you know how to remove the tint because police 4 would be the unmarked car. Something in the vehicles.meta or carvarations.meta

It would automatically have no tint since all of the emergency vehicles have no tint unless put on by the Trainer.

Is it possible to use this as sheriff?

Yes I think so on the Sheriff slot since it is the same vehicle as the Police slot.
