Vapid Stanier Mapped SAHP-Style 1.0.6

This is a Vapid Stanier (police) mapped by LtMattJeter ( http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/8341-dev-templated-stanier/ ), and a lighting setup similar (it's not exactly the same due to game limitations and my personal preferences) the one used by California Highway Patrol, with both custom made LED lightbar (made out of default parts) inspired by Whelen Liberty and a recolored GTA IV Vector lightbar.

Due to game limitations, only the Vector lightbar has working takedowns. To turn them on, press H, just like you would to turn on high beams.

To simplyfy instalation this mod requires you to install Netman's SAHP Added cars (https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/sahp-added-cars , also found in Law Enforcement Improvements), and replace his Stanier with mine.

Included in the archive are 4 High Quality (4096x4096) and 4 Standard Quality (2048x2048) skins and PSD files with editable unit number layers for both High Quality (4096x4096) and Standard Quality (2048x2048) allowing you to make additional unit numbers, should you wish to do so.

The glass works perfectly.

Installation:

IT'S VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. MAKE BACKUPS!

First, install Netman's SAHP Added cars (https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/sahp-added-cars ), using the instructions found there. Then:

Install with OpenIV:
Files from "Models and textures" folder to update\x64\dlcpacks\mpchristmas2\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\xmas2vehicles.rpf

If you happen to have white interior, use the file from "IF YOU HAVE WHITE INTERIOR" folder.

Feel free to edit the file, just make sure to credit me. However, don't re-upload if you have not changed anything.

Added a version for people having trouble with white interior - that usually happens if you replace a car other than police or hwaycar2. If you don't have this issue, please use the regular version instead to save performance.

    But that's how it was in GTA IV :( I'll think about it but I like it how it is tbh

    +1 on that request, they look very nice, they just should be scaled down just a bit imo.

    Hey, I read the readme and installed Netman's SAHP added cars, and replaced his HWAYCAR2 with yours. In the openIV model viewer, I am able to see the SAHP Stanier with IV's lightbars. But when I test it out in-game, it doesn't show with IV's lightbar... I used SNT to spawn the model, btw.

    Great work! Love the vector lightbar on the crown vic! Maybe on future updates if you can, add an amber traffic advisor on the back of the vector like chp uses? But excellent job!

    @Yard1 The interiors textures are not loading for me, they remain white... problem ? :thumbsup: I use 1.0.3
    Could you use vehicles_poltax_interior.ytd ?

    Did this happen before? Could you send me the vehicles.meta from mpchristmas2 dlc?

    This is my vehicules.meta. Before your last updates, only the steering wheel was white :)

    If I put the textures from vehicles_poltax_interior.ytd inside your "Hwaycar2.ytd" there is no more problems but that's not a clean fix ^^

    So wait, does this mean that the modding community will finally start releasing lightbars to us? I'm sick of the lightbars in the game and am waiting for someone to release a new one.  (I know they're out there.  I've seen people with modded lightbars on their vehicle)

    Haha, yeah, hi-poly models are a pain in the ass, its not necessary to have a good looking IMO.Maybe someone will make a low poly version of this lightbar :)

     

    I tried your model ingame and... yeah, the thin lightbar version is really nice. But there is a little problem with the led intensity as they seems dimmed compared to others lights. Look at this, the red lights from your lightbar compared to the rear window leds wich are more brighter (this is why they look more orange). Normal ? I use the same texture in these two cases.

    One of my favorite modded cars to use. Just a couple suggestions

    1) The door interior textures are low quality. There's also no needle for the gauges

    2) The Highway Patrol decal's are very low quality

     

    Would like to see those with hi-res quality.

    Are you using the latest version? First versions had a low quality interior with no gauges in it. The decals are all vector, it's impossible do have better quality. Maybe try using the 4k version?

    I had no idea it was uploaded. Was not able to replace the third skin because OpenIV crashes every time, however 1-2-4 worked. Just tried it in-game with the 4K skins and the decals look a not nicer. The door and gauges still are low quality. Dashboard lights don't come on, however that's not really a big deal. I uploaded two pics to show you what I mean. Other than those two issues, this is a great car. Look forward to more of your work. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

    I see what you mean about the doors - that's how it was on the LtMattJeter's mapped model. I'll see what I can do about it, same with the gauges.

    I changed the car to Police 4 (so the car would be used if you request state police backup) and the lights on the light bar are pure black, any idea why?

    Because the carvariations light setting isn't compatible. You'd have to make a new entry for police4 in one of the unlocked meta files, and set the siren value correctly.

    I'll attempt to do that 

    so should i use the regular police values?
