2011 Ford Crown Victoria CHP Pack 1.2

(36 reviews)

13 Screenshots

Hey there! This is by far the most accurate pack I've ever made and here it is!

The amount of time that went into this project is absolutely insane. But I think it was worth it!

The CHP is my favorite department, so I'ts pretty understandable why I had to do this.

Special thanks to @AngeloCosma without him, this pack wouldn't be as accurate as it is!

And thanks a lot to @c0ff33man for his amazing videos and beautiful screenshots!

Features:

Forza Vic

Accurate Lighting
Accurate Equipment
The front and rear of the lightbar can be controlled independently, resulting in a lot of realistic combinations

Animated parts (keys, exhaust, antennas)

Reflective decals

And a whole bunch of small details most of you will never notice

These cars require an unedited carvariation.meta!!!

If you don't have it, the lighting will be messed up.

Enough text, check out these amazing videos made by @c0ff33man

Use this mod here to get rid of the flashing taillights:

That should be it. In case you'll find a bug or just want to talk to me, feel free to message me!

Enjoy!!

What's New in Version 1.2

Released

- 1.1 -

- New taillights

- bigger push bar lights

- bigger antenna

- small visual changes

- bug fixing

- 1.2 -

- fixed dirt mapping

- fixed the taillight coronas

Random question, why is it that one of the red lights stays on all the time?

It's a known problem in Gta 5. Not much to do about it.

The size of the wheels is absolutely realistic. And no, I won't fix the taillights. I don't have a problem with the brightness.

The California Vehicle Code states, that all emergency vehicles are required to have at least one red steady burning light in the front of the car.

Oohhh, ok. Thank you for the information!  ^_^

In my country the police uses the red light only, when they are pulling someone over.

Overall very good work.

But i wanted to mention the rear blue light on the polar bear isn't working correctly:

And i'm able to walk through the vehicle.

What I want to know is if that traffic break actually worked??? In the vid.  He ended the video right after he stopped traffic, but knowing GTA, I'm sure everyone would be gunning it around him hahahaha

It is possible to a certain extent. As long as you are moving, all cars except trucks will stop behind you.  But you're right with the last part.

The lighting configuration on these cars is really amazing because it is so true to life with all of the 3 lighting stages.

However, I did notice something ODD.....when the AI vehicles switch to YELP and the lighting pattern changes, the red steady burning light starts flashing and does not steady burn.  It does not do this for the car you are driving, only for the AI.

If you take their car, and switch to yelp, the red steady burning light will start flashing as well.  The only way to stop this from happening and return things to "normal" is to switch all of the lights to off and then back on again, in which case, the red steady burning light will keep steady burning, even for the yelp siren tone.

I hope I explained this well enough.  I have only noticed it for the slicktop cars, but the "issue" may also exist on the models with roof lightbars as well.  I'm not really sure, haven't tested them with AI yet.  Hope my description of the issue wasn't too confusing!

Thank you!!

I'm aware of that, it has something to do with the Steady burn feature that ELS has. It's a known issue. But I know how to fix this, I will add that to my to-do list.

Believe me, it is a a minuscule problem, but I notice small things like this.  With how dumb the AI drive it is certainly not noticable.  Unless you are looking at seeing how the lights are acting specifically.

That's good, I love perfection! Every detail helps!

Not a problem, glad I could help!  I am very OCD and somewhat of a perfectionist.  I have an eye for detail.....and your cars are amazing....adding umpteenth realism to LSPDFR and GTAV!

I think that you have done a phenomenal job on the patterns.

You might have seen this before but here is a demonstration of the CHP patterns with the lightbar.

Yes I've seen it before. Years ago actually. It's the video the whole lighting setup is based on.

The lighting pattern on this car is so complicated, it took me forever to figure it out. It's nice when someone notices that! Thanks again!

the tail lights are overly bright, the windows look plain and white almost like it has no glass texture on it, cant figure out how to tint the windows like the lapd units...the car itself didn't need to be modified as it was fine the way it is just add police equipment, other then that its cool to see more cali stuff as its rare on here
