Nice car, works great in game. Will there be a sheriff variant?

My lights aren't bright either and are invisible in the daytime. This can't be working properly. I'll try the enhanced spotlight thing that was posted a few posts up.

Hi there, I have the same issue, can you tell me what you did to fix it?

Try reinstalling the vehicle completely. (Replacing the ytds and everything). That's how I got it working.

Two of the liveries is a sheriff skin, you should be able to rename the files to "Sheriff" and just delete the non-sheriff liveries in the ytd file. Be sure to re-number the skins in order otherwise it might screw up.

oh mine for some reason just had the one police livery in its ytd, but I just took the livery out of Captain14's Tahoe from his pack and threw it in. I didn't realize it was supposed to have skins included though lol, I'll check that out. Probably would have been much simpler haha. Thanks!

Woops, total wrong vehicle lol! That is what I've done in this case. I'm not sure that I re numbered the skins, I will see if that helps; however, I did go through the livery options via a trainer and the vehicle effectively remained white for each (lights and such otherwise functioning properly).

I had installed Captain14's sheriff pack before but since uninstalled it--could the conflict possibly be some sort of issue in car variations that may have held over, if that makes sense?

UPDATE: got it working, my dumb ass forgot to hit save when I changed the sign names. durr. I appreciate the reminder to check it out lol. Thanks for the help! :)

Would my 'LSPD Pack' by Captain14 conflict with this?

Yeah, they both replace police... so you could just install this into the lspdpack DLC.. \update\x64\dlcpacks\lspdpack\dlc.rpf and drill down to lspdpack.rpf where the vehicles are located. You'd also need to change the sirenSettings for police in the carvariations to "1" in that same dlcpack.

What if I just removed the 'LSPD Pack' would it work then?

So I just placed it into the lspd pack and it now works in game. The only thing that is wrong with it is that it is all white and says police on the side.

Strange, can you change the livery with a trainer?

Yes, that did it, how could I be such a twat. thanks for putting up with me.

Edit: changed liveries through simple trainer, that fixed it.

I couldn't remember what skins it came with because I replaced them, that must be one of the defaults. No problem.

Love the look. Based on all of the comments concerning installation I have everything installed correctly. When in game to test I just open rage console and spawn police. But the only thing that seems to work is the brake lights alternating.

Does it matter if my path is in a /mods folder?

Do  I need to go to a police station and choose the car that way?

.xml is in pack_default

And the ELS config reads

[ ADMIN ]
VcfContainerFolder = pack_default

So...what am I doing wrong? The car itself looks great It just seems I'm having issues with ELS. Possible?

Edit: poking around my GTA folder I found the asi isn't loading ELS.

Shouldn't matter if its in you're mods folder & no you don't have to go to a police station to spawn the car. Do you have an ASI Loader installed? If you don't or are not sure if you do open up OpenIV and go to the tools tab at the top, then select ASI Manager. From here make sure that both ASI Loader and OpenIV.ASI are installed.

I got it all figured out as I mentioned in the edit in my post above. I also know you don't need to go to a police station to spawn a car..as I mentioned above as well :P

Hi. If I understand correctly, you first rename the files to sheriff.ytf/ytd (etc), then, drop those inside patchday11ng vehicle.rpf? Then inside the .ytd, you delete the non-sheriff liveries, and rename those files to vicz_sign_1 & 2? Or am I doing it wrong? I still get the white colored car as you did.

Hmm, lemme experiment as I need to reinstall my cars and I will try to remember exactly what I did.

But have you tried maybe extracting the skins you'd like and using the replace tool to simply replace all the ones you don't want?

When replacing liveries you don't need to rename them.

To put this in the Sheriff slot, do I just rename the VCF to Sheriff or is there something inside the file I also have to change?
