Priority Response 1.0.2

Priority Response is a backup and response coordination plugin for LSPDFR built around making active scenes feel more believable, more controlled, and more dynamic.

The idea behind this mod is simple: when you are on a callout, backup should feel like an actual response system instead of just a one-button spawn tool. Priority Response gives you both manual and automatic ways to bring in help depending on the situation, while still letting you decide how much control you want over it. When you are handling an active callout, you can open the manual backup menu and request the type of response you need, whether that is standard patrol, SWAT, ambulance, or fire support. On top of that, Priority Response can also automatically dispatch backup based on the type and priority of the incident, helping scenes feel more natural without making everything overly chaotic.

The plugin is built to work with different player setups and supports multiple provider options, including Native LSPDFR, Policing Redefined, and Ultimate Backup. That means you can choose the provider setup that fits your game instead of being locked into one specific way of playing. Priority Response also includes an in-game configuration menu so you can adjust settings without constantly tabbing out to edit files by hand. Response timing, trigger distances, responder limits, notification behavior, and other options can be tuned to fit the kind of gameplay you want. If you like a more controlled and slower-paced patrol experience, you can set it up that way. If you want quicker, more aggressive support, you can do that too.

Another big focus of the mod is cutting down on annoying clutter. Notifications are kept cleaner and more readable, and the system is designed to avoid turning scenes into a wall of spam every time units are requested. The goal is to make the plugin feel like a natural part of patrol gameplay instead of something constantly shouting over everything else.

Priority Response also includes support for priority phrase XML matching, allowing callout text and related information to influence how automatic backup is handled. There is also support for GrammarPolice integration, giving players more flexibility depending on how they like to run their game. Overall, Priority Response is meant to be a more flexible and scene-aware way to handle backup in LSPDFR. It is built for players who want more control than basic backup options offer, while still keeping things practical enough to use during normal gameplay.

What's New in Version 1.0.2

Released

This update focuses on stability, cleanup, and overall polish for Priority Response.

Provider support has now been moved into the main plugin through wrappers, so Native LSPDFR, Policing Redefined, and Ultimate Backup are all handled through the core plugin instead of separate provider bridge DLLs.

This update also fixes several menu and keybind issues, including the config menu appearing when pressing the Windows key while the config hotkey was disabled. Modifier key handling was also tightened up so left and right control keys behave more correctly.

Manual backup requests now spread units out better instead of stacking them all on the same point, and automatic backup response behavior was improved so priority feels more natural:

  • Low Priority = Code 1

  • Medium Priority = mixed Code 2 / Code 3

  • High Priority = Code 3

Policing Redefined and Ultimate Backup support were both reworked into the new wrapper-based setup, and Policing Redefined exact-location dispatch behavior was corrected so units properly head toward the callout scene.

This update also includes additional cleanup for provider fallback handling, scanner audio pathing, config reliability, and general release polish.

Short Description

A configurable LSPDFR backup plugin featuring manual response requests, automatic callout-based backup dispatching, provider sup

I’m having an issue. Iv installed the Mod when I accept a call it says units are responding but no one shows up. It’s set up for ultimate backup I have checked that. I’m sure I’m missing something simple

Are you able to recreate this issue and show a video of some sort?

This mod is good on the surface. In some ways, it beats Tactical Response Backup because I’m able to add over 200 phrases without it freaking out or breaking like Tactical Response Backup does.

However, Tactical Response Backup still has an advantage because it allows me to request a specific number of units through Grammar Police. For example, if I say, “I need four units to me,” Tactical Response Backup is able to send that many units through grammar/voice commands. With Priority Backup, I have to do it manually.

I like your mod, and I think it has a lot of potential, but a few core features need to be fixed. I would recommend looking at how Tactical Response Backup handles voice/grammar phrases and unit-count requests, then reworking the grammar phrases so they hook properly.

I’m confident this is not an issue with Grammar Police failing to recognize my phrases. I’ve been playing this game for a long time, and I know how to phrase commands correctly. The mod is promising, but it still needs some work.

In the meantime, I’m going to keep using your mod for the extra phrase support, but I’m definitely still going to use Tactical Response Backup until you release a solid update that can fully beat it out.

I can try make a video. It’s strange I accept call it says units will spawn when 255 meters away but no one spawns and there no log in the rage log. And once call finishes it says it’s dismissing units

So based on my research after noticing this, it says that for priorites labeled as "NoPriority" as well as any other priority label... I will get that situated in the next update when i decide to push it out. Until then, feel free to add me on discord (@DeSeptic_Oasis) if you have anymore issues so I can address them personally and help you out!

I will tell you, the only thing i would need to update from your message is just a logic that reads the "amount" with multiple options of "Single, Another" and so on for 2, 3 , 4 ,5 yada yada for the grammar police to pick it up and send that many units properly. So this will be something i look into for future updates.

I have yet to receive any other issues with the way grammar police responds to those commands specifically. Please make sure you have them installed properly and are saying "Send Me / I Need Patrol/Swat/Ambulance/Fire to my location" rather than just asking for "I need backup" as that is not a response I allowed my mod to handle.
