This is a beta release, so there might be bugs. If you encounter any, please report them to me through the methods below. You might not get a response on this site.

This project is open-source! View it on GitHub.

 

This plugin is very lightweight. By default, it tells you the time every 5 minutes, tells you to take a break every 30 minutes, and tells you to stop playing after 3 hours. All of these reminders can be disabled and their timings can be configured.

 

The installation is simple. Drag and drop the contents of the Installation Files folder into your Plugins folder. Since it's a standalone plugin, it does not need to go into Plugins\LSPDFR. 

 

This is my first plugin. Honestly, I only made it as a "hello world" sort of thing, but I hope you find it useful.

I've never seen a mod like this, I respect the purpose of it. Smart idea.The only thing I'd do is change "please remember to take regular breaks" to "please remember to get up and move around". "Take a break" doesn't necessarily mean get up from the chair. 😂

 

Should also include the LSPDFR counter for "x minutes until we decide you no longer should play the game" and crash.

    Will implement this in the next update. Thanks for the suggestion!

    ...the "get up and move around" bit. I did think of crashing the game, but I thought that'd be too excessive.

    Hahahaha no you misunderstand!  I meant since GTA likes to randomly crash, include a counter for when GTA will say "fuck you" and crash.

    Haha, neat idea.  Between GTAV, LSPDFR and Rage one of those is bound to crash in 30 mins.  Well, that is roughly my experience.  After a few crashes you will probably just stand up and say F*** IT! and go take a break anyway.  LOL

    That's not really my experience, though I err on the side of caution when seeing which mods I should install.

    What about it being related to officer break time in the game.  Like a notification from dispatch reminded you it's time to take a break for lunch, this would go well with immersive dispatch.

    I think that's a bit of a stretch. People wouldn't want to drive somewhere just to go AFK. But, thanks for the suggestion! I'll keep it in mind.

    I first saw this concept in the Anno series, Thought it was a pretty decent feature very in-tune with reality.

     

    I'm glad you made this mod, 1.6K+ people seem to agree since they've downloaded it.

     

    Plenty of people who get carried away for hours on end so this mod is a brilliant little edition

     

    People who dont need this dont have to download it, But im glad its here as an option for those who do.

     

    Such a simple yet brilliant thing this one.

    I've been playing LSPDFR since the 1000 series of nvidia. 1070-2070 now 4070. I feel for those experiencing all the crashing and nonsense causing them to just take said break lmao. Now with such a beastly system, i'm having longer sessions than i've ever had. This is now a mandatory plugin. Big ups
