Typical Callouts 1.5

Thank you for checking out my first callout pack! This is my first time creating any sort of addon for LSPDFR so I hope you enjoy it.

I created this callout pack because I noticed a significant lack of callout packs with typical everyday calls that won't end up in a pursuit or a shootout. I personally prefer to try and simulate real world policing as closely as possible so I decided to create a pack that would introduce callouts that police officers generally do get on a daily basis.

A quick note: I just want to say a quick thank you to everyone for downloading the pack and giving me helpful feed back 🙂 It's much appreciated and I'm still mindblown at how well this callout pack has done so far. With the new update, I know there will probably be some bugs and crashes, so if you experience any please write a comment or PM me so I can get it figured out and fixed. Also, as far as new content goes there won't be much more in the future for Typical Callouts as I'm moving towards creating a callout pack with K9 callouts. I will still make fixes and release those updates for Typical Callouts, and I might add a callout or two when the inspiration hits sometime in the future, so trust me I'm not abandoning it 😉 . And finally, if you enjoyed the callout pack it would be greatly appreciated if you left a small donation using the PayPal button by the Download button. As much as I enjoy making callouts, the only reason I have so much free time to do this  is my job has been, and still is closed down due to COVID. Any donation would go a long way and be immensely appreciated. Anyways, thank you for reading my little spiel, and I hope you enjoy the callouts!

Callouts:

DISCLAIMER:  All callouts have a varying number of spawn locations, if you attempt to force a callout while out of range it will not work. This is to avoid receiving callouts for Los Santos while on the other side of the map and vice versa. If you would like to change the range of each callout, this can be done in the ini file.

(NEW!) Traffic Stop Backup:     Here it is, the highlight of the update! Traffic Stop Backup has always been one of my favorite callouts from Albo1125's Assorted Callouts pack, so I decided to create my own rendition to add some more variety to the available traffic stop backup callouts. This callout features 20 Unique Dialogues and Situations,  as well as Over 500 Spawn Locations. This callout ended up taking 75% of the time I spent working on this update but I'm really happy with the way it turned out and I hope you all feel the same way.

(NEW!) 3 New Speed Traps:     Speed trap was one of the callouts in desperate need of a rewrite, and in the process of doing so I added 3 New Locations in addition to the original in Los Santos. You can now operate speed traps in Los Santos County, Blaine County, and On a Highway. The mechanics of the speed traps have also been completely reworked to avoid crashes and certain bugs. This callout also features Customizable Partner Cars, allowing you to set which vehicle will spawn for your partner in each respective jurisdiction (set in the ini).

(NEW!) Towed Vehicle Disturbance:     In this new callout you will be tasked with responding to reports of a possible altercation between a tow truck driver, and the supposed owner of the vehicle he's attempting to tow. This callout contains many possible situations and outcomes, as well as 5 locations spanning Los Santos.

(Updated) Recently Stolen Vehicle:  A caller reported that their vehicle has just been stolen, proceed to the last known location and attempt to locate the stolen car! New features after the update include: A search area which updates at random intervals, you now have to work a bit to find the vehicle 😉 , more realistic driving speed for suspect vehicle, and if you fail to locate the suspect within a certain amount of time the suspect will be lost.

(Updated) Trespassing at Taxi Yard:  A citizen has been reported trespassing on Los Santos Taxi Co. property, proceed to the location and arrest the suspect if necessary. Fixed issues with dialogue, there are now 2 possible situations for this callout.

Citizen in Distress:  There have been multiple calls reporting a distressed citizen, proceed to the last reported location and see if the citizen requires assistance.

Welfare Check:  A caller has requested a welfare check on someone they know, proceed to their residence and ensure they don't require any assistance.

911 Hang Up:  Someone called 911 and hung up under potentially suspicious circumstances. It could be a simple mistake, but the caller may be in danger! Proceed to the phone's last known location and investigate!

Silent Alarm Call:  A home security system with a silent alarm just called 911, make your way to the residence and find out why it went off.

Great Job on the callout pack. I love the ideas. However, only the 911 hang up and the welfare check are working. When I use callout manager to force the other callouts, it says failed to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😃

Congrats for your first release. I like the 911 Hang Up Callout. Looking further to this Callouts Pack 👍could you by any chance add a "Pursuit Standoff" Call? Cause there are some Callout Packs with it, but they're only compatible with LSPDFR 0.3.

Good job on your first release! Does these callouts spawn out of town areas? Sandy Shore, Pateto Bay, etc?

Some are spawning in Blaine County.

When trying to start most of the calls up in callout manager, only 911 hangup, recently stolen vehicle, and welfare check seem to spawn. 911 hangup is only in rancho, and welfare check is only in rockford hills. recently stolen vehicle spawns in more varied locations. The rest fail to start.

Anyone else run into the issue of forcing a callout and nothing happens? like speed trap, trespassing call out? I tried the silent alarm call out but got a code 4 immediately after accepting the call

I set up the callouts so that if you're not within a certain range of any of the callout  locations it won't start the callout. The idea behind this was to avoid situations where a Los Santos callout would start while all the way in some place like Paleto Bay. Since many people seem to be running into this issue I'll increase the ranges so that Los Santos callouts encompass all of Los Santos and the Blaine county locations also have larger ranges. Also I'll add a list of the spawn locations so if you want to try them before I can update the pack you can.

Hey can i give you a new call out idea?

hope you can try this :search for the suspect  it can play out just like the speed trap you got. but you have police stationed in spots and some petroling the area

or you can have the police stake out a house and have police drive by  and wait till they leave it needs to be longer then 1min so its more realsitc. we need to have the cars blacked out. meaning no lights at all and when they leave the house we and the ai's fallow them and then peform a traffic stop.

ps. sorry if its counfusing hope you get what  im saying

The callouts are designed so that they will only start when within a certain range. The reason for this is to ensure that one will not receive a call for something like a welfare check in Los Santos, while patrolling in Blaine County. I released an update which increases the range on most of the callouts and also added a location list in the description above.  From what I can tell from playing with this pack, most callouts will work as long as you're somewhere in Los Santos as I haven't created an assortment of Blaine County callouts yet. Hope this helps answer your questions

For the callouts starting at a certain range, I suggest you let the user define that range in a settings file.

Some people get pissed when callouts start far away, some don't care and will want to do the callout anyway.

Not yet sure how to create a settings ini file but its certainly something I intend to learn, I'll definitely look into your suggestion, thanks! 🙂

I like how your thinking about the range of the callouts, it can be annoying. Like in other callout mods, i would get a call of a robbery at a location all the way across town lol. hope you keep adding new ones

For the speed trap callouts, could you add more locations to stake? It would be nice. And can trap also no sport cars. 🙂 Also, it would be nice if you put some location in highway too.

Really REALLY happy to see normal type callouts, any chance you would do my all time favorite callout that was done a long time ago but no longer updated, an "Assist officer at traffic stop" kinda call out, I absolutely love the backup ones and it would fit amazingly with this callout pack, you are my hero!

an INI file to control which callouts are active and other parameters would be great. Also, the welfare check brings me to a locations with absolutely nothing going on, and after requesting the call to end the marker on my map is stuck forever until I restart my game. Love the callouts though. hope they are updated often.

I've created a functioning INI, it will be included in the next update and will allow one to enable/disable callouts, set the range of callouts, and adjust key binds and vehicle models for callouts. As for the welfare check, the person in question is not always in plain sight, you need to look around on the side of houses and in backyards. If you still can't find the person after doing this let me know and I'll look into it further.

I'll try and figure out why the blip is staying on, it would be helpful to know which callout it occurred on, where on the map the blip was, and the color of the blip. I may have already fixed it but I'll look into it anyways. Glad you're enjoying the pack!

I will do my best to look for these and report back after my next playthrough. Thanks.

Another suggestion I wanted to second is expanding on the speed trap. More locations, variations of speed and perhaps an expansion into a DUI check? Thanks for the continuous work and support!
