Automatic Siren Cutout 3.1.5

(34 reviews)

Merged into Rich's Police Enhancements v1.6

About

Automatic Siren Cutout is a plugin created primarily for ELS users.  This script will automatically turn off your sirens while keeping your emergency lights on when you get out of emergency vehicles.  Be advised, this will not work if you use your mouse to exit your vehicle or toggle your lights.  Keyboard or controller only.

Included Features

  • Friendly Honk:  A fun little feature that makes other emergency vehicles honk their horn or blip their siren at you if you honk or blip your siren at them.
  • Traffic Light Control:  Turn traffic lights green as you approach intersections with stage 3 lighting enabled.  This does not affect AI traffic.
  • Traffic Yielding  AI will drive around your vehicle when you are stopped with stage 3 lighting on.

I have a problem using the'' AI going around vehicle feature'' with the nice truck i love. At stage 3 my ped won't open the door but will pop in and out of the vehicle. I test it and it's due to that feature of your mod only. Setting that feature to false solve the issue, I love this truck and your mod. painful loll. Here is the link of the vehicle if you can fix on your end or his and i also mention it to him.

After consideration and further testing, i found out this was not the only vehicle this was happening. Ticklemyelmo FPIU as the same problem.

Thanks, I think I know the cause.  I will work on it tonight.

New version with a potential fix is uploaded.  I couldn't reproduce it with Elmo's FPIU from his LSPD pack, but I could reproduce it with my Riot.  I fixed it for the Riot, so I'm hoping it'll fix it with other big vehicles.

Thanks for that update, I’ll try it tonight if it works and will let you know.

I prefer to manually close the siren , and if it stays playing , because I go out quickly to stop the ped , which remains as it is in reality , then surely you will have worked a lot on it, and it is a nice job , but through siren setting changing keys in the "ini "and bringing G into the joypad I have a wonderful command , but even if I had to do it from the keyboard , the keyboard is on my right , it simulates me as inside the car , where the controls really are , this mod takes my realism away , my thought , then , I repeat , I do not discuss your work , it will also be done well , but I do not see it useful even if I see many who like it , each one has his own ways of seeing things 🙂 , he has so much that I wanted to write it but I do not like to be negative , it's just my way of looking at it  , good week guys

@

Kasper LosticThis mod as a lot of other features that I think are very helpful like having the light turn green on code3 and vehicle passing you on the left when you are in a tight alley traffic stop. Those 2 are very realistic as well. You can set that ASC feature to false in the ini.  But still enjoy the other features. By the way he’s been really active and working really hard on this mod and for free. Which I do appreciate.

Don’t have to go into your car regardless.  Standing outside car and holding G will turn off siren and leave lights on.

When ever I have done that my siren never turned off, either way this mod makes life easy 😆

A useful plugin. Finally you don't have to deactivate the sirens yourself. Moreover, it's a great feature that the traffic lights turns green but unfortunately I can't use it due to fps problems. Could you implement that the sirens are changes automatically?

Hit the 5 key, ELS already has that feature.

Sorry, I edited my message.  Siren cycling for the player is already a feature in ELS.  Siren cycling for the AI is a feature in a new plugin I'm releasing today.

Thanks. Do you know how to enable it in ELS?

Nevermind I read the comment xd

still crashes when you die. Also with the new one ASC doesn't seem to work, I hopped out of a Tahoe and the siren still played. Ill double check but as of now I think its got a couple issues

EDIT: It works now, siren cuts out when I exit. However it still crashed when I got killed

You can revert to 2.4 in the meantime.

I initially had a problem with the plugin not working, and have seen some angry people in the comments complaining as well. In the end I realised I did not load the plugin up. I got used to plugins that loaded in automatically with lspdfr, but this plugin isn't linked to lspdfr, and so needs to be loaded in manually. If you're having issues, check the plugins tab on RageHook, make sure that you've enabled all plugins to load on startup.

I wonder if others have had this issue or if it's a problem with my personal mod setup:

With Stage 3 lighting engaged, getting out of the vehicle causes a brief half-second stutter/freeze and what sounds like several ELS keys clicking at the same time. This started after installing the mod, and I'm assuming it comes from this mod acting like a macro and activating some ELS functions?

Yes.  The stutter/freeze is not normal, though.

I do not use ELS in my current configuration, but use this for the traffic light control. Nice mod!😉
