About This File

This will have your police bike spawn as a car if you put a car in the open iv slot.

 

Copy this in if you wanna change sound  <audioNameHash>POLICE3</audioNameHash>

 

 

Please report any bugs!

 

P.S. I have policeb in patch14 and it works fine.

also it still sounds like the bike i don't really know how to change that. Sorry.

if you want to change the police bike sound, change the audio name hash in the vehicles.meta file to an other police vehicle like the interceptor (police3)

You can also just type the name of the vehicle you want to use into the <handling> tag of the vehicles.meta file. For example, I run Trooper Goetz's Ford F450 SuperDuty with Sandking handling (for the flexing suspension) and Phantom audio hash (for that sweet turbo diesel sound).

Ok so what if the car I want to install in the policeB slot also has its own carvar and meta? do I just try and use these ones or do I replace them? whenever I have tried this the cars spawn balanced on two tires and they never work properly.

the vehicle .meta fixes the 2 wheels and carvar  is lights.

right I get that but if the vehicle I intend to put in the policeb slot comes with its own custom carvar and meta am I to just leave them out and use the one here and hope for the best?

I've been basically doing that but, rotator lights I would avoid with this cause those take a different "sirensettings"

ok so tried it with two different chargers. one without its own carvar and meta and one with. the one with spawned in the garage balanced on two left tires (as if still a bike) and trying to select it resulted in being left in the parking garage. trying to spawn it outside the garage same result and can not be entered. the one without its own carvar (so only vehicle files) crashes my game as soon as I go into the police garage. can you show me a few models that worked for you?

I don't have any exact cars but all have worked for me. I'll send you the meta again and copy and paste that over "policeb"

@Trooper 18 thanks this worked for the most part. my problem was I am an RDE user so I was trying to install the meta in that folder instead of the path you gave. that seems to have solved it. only issue now is ELS vehicles, the secondaries dont work in this slot.

guys, it's not really hard to do, and you don't need a mod to do it.

download a car you want, extract the .rar to your desktop, rename all the files (3 or 4 depending on the model) to policeb (so you should have policeb.ytf, policeb.ytd, policeb_hi.ytf and might have policeb+hi.ytd). upload those files to the latest patchng's vehicles.rpf
Next, find and open the update.rtf/common/data/levels/gta5/vehicles.meta. use the search function to find the policeb paragraph and delete it.

Then take a normal police paragraph, copy/paste it to have a double, and rename the first couple of lines to policeb except the handling line. save and close.


Then open any carvariation.meta (i personally use the one in the gunrunning dlc folder) and again, make a double of any car,  rename the top line to policeb, then go to the bottom of that paragraph and change lightsettings to 0 and sirensettings to 1 for LEDS, and 13 for Rotators.

Save and close.


Always make a backup first of any meta file. I'm only responsible for what I tell you, not what you understand)

Thanks for the input! I basically only uploaded this for the newer people and people who aren't familiar with meta files.

so i delete the first paragraph that say policeb then after that what do i do?

Ive encountered a problem with this. Everything else worked fine except the textures are wonky.

I had a 2018 charger from the legacy pack. I originally had it in the sheriff slot where it worked fine, I did everything I was supposed to with your file to put that same car in the Highway patrol or "policeb" spot more specifically. After doing so everything worked fine except my texture is messed up now. The whole vehicle is silver with a black stripe down the side, but since putting it in policeb slot, the hood, fenders, front and rear bumper are now black, my skin still shows but now with more black than whats supposed to be there.

Would you happen to have a solution to fix this?
