Great idea, however I'd imagine the only way of doing this would be to move the notification box onto the gun like this (excuse the terrible copy/paste job):

On the gun itself? It's just a texture, the speed never changes. You can go in and replace the texture. In OpenIV export the current one, make changes, and then import it again.

i got this mod but the texture of the radar is there but it still shoots theres no radar

To everyone having the trouble of the Radar Gun still fires bullets instead of actually reading the speed, make sure you go to the Traffic Policer INI file and scroll down to *//This determines which WeaponAsset is used for the speedgun.* Right under there you need to change the SpeedgunWeaponAsset from "WEAPON_MARKSMANPISTOL" to "WEAPON_VINTAGEPISTOL" ... 

This should solve the problem!  I Attached a snapshot bellow in case you need visual guidance !

It does the same thing to me inside the vehicle. Awesome mod though non the less.

Okay I installed this into the patchday 8 and I can't seem to find it anywhere in the game. Am i doing something wrong?

Yea, it's just a model. It wont work as an actual radar, just for RP. You can use it with one of the many radar scripts though. For Traffic Policer, use "WEAPON_VINTAGEPISTOL" in the ini.

Wish I had known that before I installed it thinking it would actually show me the speeds.

I've installed V1 and V2 and modified the Traffic Policer.ini and try WEAPON_VINTAGEPISTOL or WEAPON_MARKSMANPISTOL. I can have the speedgun but can't have the speed of cars like in this video:

Do you have any ideas?

which speed menu r u using? thing black box in the top left with the vehicle model and vehicle speed?

i downloaded everything right but it shoots bullets it dose not work as a rader how do i fix that?

this mod doesnt work for me, no matter what i try, nothing is popping up and i am still shooting bullets -_-

it dosent work for me when i pull it out and and click on the right click side it shoots a bullet dont know what to do

You have to have Traffic Policer for this mod to work. I don't recommend using Traffic policer though as it is very outdated and can cause issues with your game.
