Modding DLC Pack V 1.2.0.0

(36 reviews)

Modding DLC Pack V allows for a simplified installation process of peds, weapons, vehicles and meta file entries - both for addons and replacements.

After installing the Modding DLC Pack V OIV file, you can do the following, all from one central folder:

  • Install unlimited addon/replacement peds and addon peds.meta entries;
  • Install replacement weapons;
  • Install unlimited addon/replacement vehicles including support for vehicles.meta, carvariations.meta and handling.meta;
  • Add custom names to your (addon) vehicles;
  • Easily restore all of the above after a GTA 5 update.

Please ensure to carefully read the supplied README.pdf file for tutorials and guides on how to do all of the above. I have also done a video tutorial series (see above) showing how to perform all of the above properly.

Many thanks to @festivalmatt for his very many valuable contributions to Modding DLC Pack V.

Credits for the included gameconfig.xml file go to Dilapidated.

Please do not reupload or redistribute Modding DLC Pack V as a standalone file. If you would like to use Modding DLC Pack V as a base to release a pack of mods or similar, that’s fine - please include credit and a link back to this original Modding DLC Pack V ☺

Please note that support for this file from me will be limited due to its nature - I do not have the time to create custom meta files for everyone. That being said, please do feel free to post any comments you have (about this file, of course :smile:).

Dont you want to update all your script mods?

The open betas have been available for a week here. I hope that answers your offtopic question - please refrain from posting further about this in such a place.

This sounds like an amazing mod. The organization and keeping track of mods, and later modifying those... can be quite difficult when there are days, weeks or months between changes (Especially updates to files!) I'm looking forward to giving this a shot! Thanks Albo :D

-dlctext.meta file-

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<CExtraTextMetaFile>
    <hasGlobalTextFile value="true"/>
    <hasAdditionalText value="false"/>
    <isTitleUpdate value="false"/>
</CExtraTextMetaFile>

Above is the unedited dlctext.meta file.My question is, how do you
modify this code so that you can incorperate..

-Example of the code-

<Item type="SExtraTitleUpdateMount">
            <deviceName>dlc_yourcar:/</deviceName>
            <path>update:/dlc_patch/yourcar/</path>
        </Item>

and will the ADD-ON cars spawn in traffic?Thank you for taking the
time to come up with this great mod and your future comment.

I haven't personally ever used RDE myself, but it shouldn't!

Damn, great job making this incredibly user friendly for everyone but is there any way to do this for 1.0.944?

Albo, Great job on the mod and tutorial. I do have one issue, when putting a second vehicle in it causes the game to crash when it populates game world. I took the second vehicle back out to no avail. I had to finally delete Modding DLC V out of my mods folder and then everything worked. I followed your tutorial video step by step. When the first car got put in on Police6 it worked. Then left game put the second car in as Police7 and that's when all of the problems started. Still following your video step by step as well when the second one got put in. Not sure if I can not run a Police7 or if something else happened. Any help would be great, not sure if maybe putting the meta files in did it as I am assuming you follow the steps again and again. Thanks for your time and great mods!! :thumbsup:

Hey Albo, great mod!! I'm havving issue with no ingame sound of the added cars. I followed your installation steps from youtube tutorials, but when I spawn the cars ingame the added cars have no engine or siren sound. Other cars that are replaced with built in slots (eg. Police1, Police2, etc.) are working perfect. Any help would be appreciated!

It doesn't seem to be working with police vehicles, I tried to install a vehicle in police, police4, and fbi2 and it just reverts to the cars I have installed in my rdesheriff dlc pack. If I delete those vehicles from the rdesheriff pack then it reverts to the vannila vehicles. I checked the dlclist file and the modding dlcpack is at the bottom. I installed a vehicle in place of the tailgater in the modding pack and its showed up fine.

likely cos it it nowhere says it works with the RDE. That is its own addon dlc system thatll probably conflict with this. youll need to put more work in on your own to get it to work with this. we havnt tried to get it to work with it.
