LSPD Character Outfits 1.0.0

(5 reviews)

5 Screenshots

This is a simple edit of the multiplayer character police outfits.  I decided to make this to complement the new character system in LSPDFR 0.4.  It is perfect for anyone who simply wants more realistic and very lore-friendly police outfits, but doesn't want all of the content and agencies included with EUP.

Main features:

  • Bigger, better, LSPD badges with improved textures.
  • Polished shine effect added to the badge and nametag.
  • Gun holster added to the duty belt.
  • LAPD style Officer III, Senior Lead Officer and Sergeant rank patches.

There are a couple of other changes too:

  • The badge and rank patches use the same component slot (10), meaning that a sergeant will always have the correct sergeant badge and patches.  This also means you can wear the shirt without a badge.  It also significantly reduces the filesize and texture space required.
  • Minor texture edits which make the uniform colours more consistent.
  • The female version has been reworked to use the same shirt texture as the male version, which I think looks much better.

The models and textures should be very well optimized, and this shouldn't cause any issues with any other mods.  It can be used in addition to EUP as well.
Tested and working on LSPDFR 0.4 🙂

How to install:

Installation should be really simple, just use the OpenIV package manager.  You need a mods folder with the latest update.rpf copied into it.  This mod will not change any files, it installs itself as its own content pack.

After you install, you might need to update your LSPDFR outfit data so that everyone wears the outfits correctly.  See below for this.

LSPDFR 0.4 Outfit XML:

Use the following XML in the outfits.xml file to modify your outfit data so that everything works nicely:

Hi guys I am new here but not for the mod LSPDFR I have been using it for long time, BUT now i have a problem 😞 i downloaded  the version 0.4 and I have seen in the version 0.4 there have been many changes and i congratulate and i thank you for your work but now I explain you what happens. i have 3 mods folders different one from the other us police, uk police and italian police, these folders include cars, weapons  and uniforms of their nation, so when the mod load show me the cars the weapons all perfeect apart the uniform show me the same uniform also the other police officers around use the same uniform and not the uniform from the mod folder. what i need to do?

We have a lot of new data files in LSPDFR 0.4 which you can use to customize the mod to your liking and there's quite a lot on our wiki about them.  The one you're looking for is called outfits.xml and it has the default police outfits defined in it.  Just replace it with the one I provided here:

outfits.xml 4.79 kB · 20 downloads

@Sam I can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone about this but I KNOW you have the answer👍. First, can the new flashlight beam texture be edited by us? and Secondly, can we edit the uniforms like this the same way we could go into the file and export uniform textures and edit them? The locations of both of these seem to be a mystery?

@SamHeya, I really want to use this pack, I have it installed exactly as instructed, and I have quadruple checked this to make sure I didn't just make a mistake. and It is all spot on, but now when I put on the cop uniform there are no patches or badges for it at all. I go to the comp #10 slot and go through every single number and nothing at all shows up for badges or otherwise. Just wondering if you have any other suggestions to help fix it for me.

What I did: Downloaded mpuniforms.oiv

Installed it with OIV (Super simple, can't fuck up, lol)

Tried it n NO badges or rank patches

Then downloaded and replaced outfits.xml in gta5/lspdfr

Same thing, NO badges in comp slot 10 and no rank patches. (I also went through all other comp slots just in case and no way to get a badge except the 1 IAA nech n belt combo)

Not sure if its worth mentioning but Component slot 10 NEVER adds or changes anything No matter what I am wearing. so I am not sure whats up there. Ive tried it with  the cop uniforms, the bp vests, standard casual wear, jackets etc, anything and everything pretty much. IT has been like this ever since I first installed 0.4 too. when I would change the rank and what not it would not add anything to the sides of the shirt or anything like that. I know in 3.1 it used to add the rank patches on the sides of the police shirt but ever since I installed 0.4 I haven't been able to utilize slot 10 what so ever sadly.

If anyone has any possible fixes I can do please let me know, it must be on my end obviously because Sam has tested it and I think its working for everyone else...

Thanks a lot, any feedback is muchly appreciated!

ALSO: I do not have any other uniform addons installed what so ever. no EUP stuff or anything, so not sure if that's the problem maybe or not? I didn't think it would matter since my understanding of it was that it would work without anything else, but if that's an Idea then just let me know and I will gladly install anything else that may help. 🙂

Not sure what to suggest although I do remember ages ago having an issue with slot 10 because of the GTA Online crew emblems.  Does everything except the badge/rank patch work and does it happen for both females and males?

I installed this, and now all of the Ai cops lost their badges, insignias, holsters, and guns.
How do I uninstall or fix this?
