As some of you know, there is already a CVPI sound mod, His sounds good, but mine is different in a few ways. As you notice in the video, when I start the car, you hear the seatbelt chime go off from a REAL CVPI. Then like usual the CVPI acceleration. I did add another stock GTA 5 vehicle sound in there too that was more beefy to make it sound more like a V8

Updates will most likely come in the future :)

Hello can you send me the OAC file or a fix, I tried everything and get  saloon_7_us_v8.oac(Line 1): Not supported format version, actual: "10" but expected "11". when trying to install the mod. Thanks, I followed every single step and it seems to be a problem with the recent update.

Somebody please help me, I got an error when I did openFormat import.

This is the error I got:

__________________________________________________________________________________

openFormats import report

Some files not imported, more information below.

saloon_7_us_v8.oac(Line 1): Not supported format version, actual: "10" but expected "11".

__________________________________________________________________________________

I hope that somebody can help me. I did read the readme and I did everything the readme asked for.

__________________________________________________________________________________

The installation instructions:

1-Put the saloon_7_us_v8 folder and saloon_7_us_v8.oac somewhere on your computer

2-Now open OpenIV, make sure edit mode is on

3-go to GTA V > x64 > audio > sfx > STREAMED_VEHICLES_GRANULAR.rpf

4-right click in an empty space and click import openFormats, then go to the folder where you put the folder and file from step 1

5-load, and then you should be good :)

Do this:

Export your current saloon_7_us_v8.awc as openFormats to a blank folder with OpenIV. In that folder, replace all the files in \saloon_7_us_v8 folder with the .wav files from the crown vic sound mod you're installing. Now with OpenIV reimport the .oac file from said folder. That should be all you need to do as the latest OpenIV update fixed the issue with importing the sound files.

Thank you very much, this tip work very well.

For the v8 sound, a bit more engine volume could be good.

Anyway, good mod, thanks.

I'm having issues installing, perhaps I'm just expecting a louder acceleration noise. Could you teach me how to increase the sound volume, even at the cost of quality, or upload a separate version just louder? Cheers

Yes, add more sound pretty please it needs to be louder and sound like a beefy V8 engine!

Gotta say I love this mod, own a 06 retired NCHP CVPI, sound nice. Just WAYYYYYYYYYYY too quiet. You gotta remember man, that's the same engine from the Fox Body mustangs! It just has different exhaust and mufflers. Give it some roar!

Any way that I could turn the volume up myself?

It would be nice if someone made an exterior sound mod.. Like when one of the Vic’s pass by you can hear that half throttle V8 grumble. Maybe that’s asking too much and I’m sure that would be a lot harder to make, but that would be really cool.
