Hello all,

 

I have made a realistic, good quality CHP siren! (at least I hope so). 
I was in desperate need for a decent one of these so I took matters into my own hands. 
It was not easy finding the most perfect, highest quality tones, but I got there in the end.

Although Polecat's siren is good, once you become a hardcore CHP fan, you'll get irritated by it as it doesn't sound a lot like the real thing

 

DISCLAIMERS:
-These siren files are mine!!! I recorded them myself!!! I did not steal them from any existing CHP siren packs!!! (I have proof)
-This means that please, do NOT upload these files as your own!!!

-Siren tones in the demo videos have been adjusted to fit my game. The volume levels are correctly set for each file in regards to the slot they have been designated, but feel free to change the slot and volumes of the tones yourself to fit your needs

-Any errors or requests, please comment them down below.

What's New in Version 4.0

Released

This is my last ever update on this siren now (I hope🤞). After many updates I think I'm finally happy with it. You won't have noticed much but I, being a perfectionist, have tried to make it as close as to real life as possible, removing any minor hiccup in the loop of the tones. I've worked really hard on this for no apparent reason, so I hope you guys enjoy this as much as the amount of effort I've put in to making this accurate CHP siren.

Thanks dude! Have you tried this ^^^ I think I have at least 5 sirens in my game, one for LAPD/LASD, one for CHP bike units, one for CHP cars, one for ambulances and finally one for firetrucks. Try it out its totally cool. And if your vehicles.awc file goes over 16,000KBs then use some of my dead air thats also included in my CHP siren file

I have! I'm running LAPD for everything and I switched the Bike for CHP. For some reason none of the other strings work for Police like FBI (it just doesn't replace it for some reason). I'm not sure if I wanna lose the ambulance or firetruck yet.

When you replace your siren files in your vehicles folder, are the siren files called a hash code or an actual name? (I.e. 0x0d329... or SIREN_PA_WAIL..)

Ok cool. So for the slots that don't work (I.e fbi), your siren files are also called actual names like this?^ Or do you try to replace them as hash codes? Just tryna get a basic understanding of your problem here

Those 4 are replaced with custom sirens. I placed your CHP siren on Siren_Quick_2/3/4 and Siren_Wail_2/3/4. My ELS VCF only recognizes Quick 3 and Wail 3. 2/4 revert back to my LAPD siren. I replaced those actual file names.

Hmmmm I swear I had this issue ages ago. I can't remember what I did though. Have you tried reinstalling ELS? If that dosent work then let's continue this over dm 🙂

i have only 1 request... A louder version because the peds talking and engine sounds are louder than this siren that i can barely hear when it responding code 3 or near peds.

 

or if there's a way to tone down the volume on the peds and engine roars it'd be great if someone showed me how

New version released, if its still too quiet then the problem is on your end 🤷‍♂️

May I recommend you getting Audacity so if the siren files still aren't loud enough or if they are now too loud, you can adjust the volume yourself to your liking!

So question? How do you get it to effect the ELS in order to change the flash patterns. Im running TheHurks 2013 explorer and it didnt change the pattern? Is it a separate file? The siren sounds great! Great work!

So what I need you to do is head to your Grand Theft Auto V folder. Then proceed to ELS > pack_default. Then whatever slot you have the 2013 explorer installed in (default is police3), open up the file called "police3"(or whatever slot the explorer is in) in the pack_default folder, in notepad. Now scroll down the VCF file to where it says "<!-- WRNL -->" and then select all the text from here right to the bottom of the file where there is no more text, and over write it by pasting the following text in it's place:

Save it and you're done! Do this for any other Thehurk CHP cars you've got in game as this will fix your flash problem. I won't share the whole of my VCF as I've re-built mine from scratch to fit my game perfectly and to make CHP way more realistic. Enjoy man glad you like the siren!

So sorry to be a pain, but when i attempted to put that log in the VCF it didnt work at all, the ELS was just solid on. When i tried to put it in on OpenIV i got an error saying ""vcfroof" does not match the start tag of "WRNL"'. Sorry I'm a noob when it comes to all this. Could you see if there is something im doing wrong?

Ah I see the problem, you simply haven't copied and pasted it right. It's ok though coz I have an easier solution:

1. Open File Explorer and head to your GTA V directory

2. Now head to your pack default folder, located here: Grand Theft Auto V > ELS > pack_default

3. I've attached a VCF file for you with the correct flash pattern you want to use. Simply re-name the police3 file I've attached to whatever slot you have the explorer in, then drag and drop into the pack_default folder and click replace. Done. If you have any other CHP vehicles in game, simply follow my copy paste method that I posted yesterday
