BetterDispatchAudio 2.2

(39 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Are you tired of hearing "IN, UHHHHHH"? Tired of "DIS BOBCAT 4 EN ROUUUTEE!!!"? So was I. So I fixed that. Better Dispatch Audio (B.D.A.) includes completely new AI Responding Audio (from NFS Most Wanted). Calling for backup (and Helicopter Support) will trigger this. Ending a callout from Albo's "Assorted Callouts" or "Traffic Policer" and finishing up with "BetterEMS" will also trigger new audio, changing "We are Code 4, no further units required" to "All Units you can clear this call, return to patrol". Pursuits are much more immersive. This has been a several weeks long process, with restless nights, and my 1'st mod. I'm happy to release it here for the community. Please let me know what you think of it, and enjoy.

Works with...

LPCallouts

PoliceSmartRadio

HeroCop

AssortedCallouts

TrafficPolicer

AgencyCallouts

BetterEMS

CodeRedCallouts

ArrestWarrantCallouts

PeterUCallouts

ArrestManager

VocalDispatch

Tacco's Highway Callouts

OJ's Plugins

Streetname Addon (All streets)

Standard Dispatch version works with just about any callout pack.

Installation : Simply drag and drop the provided folders to their designated locations. A ReadMe.txt has been provided for your convenience.

A special thanks to mikegolden Games and Gallonman20 on Youtube, for taking interest in this mod, and uploading videos about it. Please check out their channels, as they both do fantastic LSPDFR related Content, plus more :woot:

*Disclaimer* Audio used in these videos is outdated by about a year. These sounds were from the very beginning stages, and the mod is much more cleaned up these days.

What's New in Version 2.2

Released

2.2

If you don't like the Custom Dispatcher's voice, please download the "Standard Dispatch" version. Yes, I brought it back

I've updated this mod, to keep up with all recently released callout packs (including Tacco's Highway callouts released recently, honestly perfect timing bud)

Callout pack not compatible? Link me to it, and I'll see about adding that in. I won't add it if it's no longer a supported plugin however (meaning, incredibly outdated and buggy). The callouts I have now, I have personally verified that they are working properly on the latest RPH and version of GTA.

Tried multiple openers but still fails to download all files. Most say failed to identify file types, one opener asks for a password?

Hmm... There should be no password required. I'm currently using the latest version of 7Zip to open my files, but a check with the latest version of WinRar also worked. But on the off chance it was a simple mishap with the download here, I'll send you a PM with a link to both versions.

Ah, yes I forgot to actually remove that from the list. I only update Callouts/Plugins that are working on more recent RPH builds. Sorry about that buddy.

Wilderness Callouts still works even though it hasn't been updated for quite some time.

There are, but I'm swamped at the moment. I've got quite a bit of catching up to do, and I'm also getting ready to collaborate with another Mod Author who has some great ideas. So I'll try to update everything I can, and have it release around the same time that the other author releases their mod. There is no release window at this time however, as he's also busy. But we'll get there

Hmm... At last glance, this is still working with all Callouts I use. Which are you using that aren't working? (Side note, ALWAYS remember to reinstall the files provided in this mod over the files that you update. If you update any callout pack that uses the lspdfr folder, which is where the audio files are located, then always remember to install this mod again over them.)

When playing LSPDFR with the newest version The dispatch voice goes from the new pitch and the default pitch. Like a back and fourth thing. One line will be the new dispatch and the other lines or words will be default.  It also has a few files thats extra loud than others.. mainly when the dispatch is reading back the plates.

Yeah with regards to plate reading, that's an unknown issue with PoliceSmartRadio. It's not noticed until you change the pitch (which is what my mod does). As far as the "back and forth thing", this sounds like an installation error. Two things I do personally to make sure it's installed correctly.

1'st : When extracting from the 7Zip file, I always first extract the files somewhere (random folder on the Desktop) and THEN I replace the files in my GTA folder. The reason I do this is, sometimes 7Zip won't actually extract all files when you're replacing something. Why is beyond me.

2'nd : Always remember to install B.D.A. LAST. If you update a callout pack, reinstall B.D.A. after it, to replace the audio files.

Some license plate numbers are being said by the new mod more loudly than the other, let's say the LP is 123JUA456, she will read it like "one, TWO, three, john, UNION, ADAM, four,FIVE,six", where capped words are higher in volume. I also liked the original pitch better too, I wish I didn't update because I can't revert back.

The way the plate is read, I sadly cannot fix. It's a slight mishap with PoliceSmartRadio, not my mod. It's only noticed when you mess with the pitch, like I did. If you wish to revert back, my advice would be to simply reinstall the audio folders from LSPDFR and your plugins. If you only want the backup audio (without messing with the dispatcher) then all you need from my mod are the cop folders (starts at s_f_y_cop_01_black_full_01 and ends at s_m_y_cop_01_white_mini_04)

I recommend deleting the "Streets" folder BEFORE reinstalling your LSPDFR folder. Do this, and you should have a vanilla dispatcher, with custom backup audio

Backup audio as in what? And thanks for the file in the PM.

Backup audio just means the other units "Responding" over the radio, including the Helicopter.

So in other words...
1. Delete STREETS folder in my LSPDFR/Police Scaner folder

2. From 2.1 standard dispatch, copy over all folders into LSPDFR/Police Scaner folder except those from s_f_y_cop_01_black_full_01 to s_m_y_cop_01_white_mini_04 and leave those as they are (from version 2.2)

3. Copy over police smart radio default sounds to it's folder

Is this all right?

Well the absolute best course of action would be the following.

1. Delete your PoliceScanner folder entirely.

2. Install LSPDFR's PoliceScanner folder.

3. Install any callout pack's PoliceScanner folder that you personally use.

4. Install PoliceSmartRadio's audio files.

5. Install B.D.A. 2.1 (the one I sent you)

If you're not using the Custom Pitch Dispatcher, then the PoliceSmartRadio files that I provide are not necessary.

This will ensure that there are NO left over Custom Pitch dispatcher files.

Yeah I noticed it now that it's the best to do all that. But should I use the s_f_y_cop_01_black_full_01 and every other folder with such similar name from version 2.2 or 2.1?

Well once all vanilla files have been installed, you can simply use B.D.A. 2.1. It contains the standard Dispatcher, and replaces all backup responses. It also replaces "In UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" with "In".

@Tg22072002 Hey buddy, I see you're having an issue uninstalling. Please completely delete your PoliceScanner folder, located in GTAV/lspdfr.

Once you've deleted that, go ahead and reinstall the PoliceScanner folder from the official LSPDFR mod, along with any callout packs that you use. This will ensure that you no longer have the mod.
