TriggerFistDispatch is a program written for Grand Theft Auto 4 policing clans to incorporate a realistic dispatching environment. Written with JavaScript, and designed as a web application the possibilities are endless. As of now, the project is a mere beta with a big and bright future ahead. The program is free to use; suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
Upon opening the page, you should notice a tab that says "New Callout"; Click it, Be aware, there is a beep following every click within the program, turning your speakers down is advisable. Once you've clicked the option, a form will appear with three fields to fill with the call's information. The first is the "Service Request", this essentially is the title of the call. For example, dispatching a patrol car to a motor vehicle collision may have a Service Request title like so: "MVA". The second field is the location, obviously, for the location that the call has originated from. Many gaming communities use a map with addresses listed, "2253 Bighorn Ave, Alderny City, NE" would be a valid address. The unit(s) responding field is used to mark units as responding, usually a unit's number will be placed here. If there's more than one unit responding, separate the numbers by a comma. The rest of the program works in an equally simple way, all that's required is filling the fields and pressing the button at the bottom of the form.
Once a call is in the system, more details may arise as the situation progresses. You can edit anything on the call log by clicking on the area you wish to edit, and typing; much like using a word processor. Once you've made an edit be sure to click outside of the call log box (Anywhere in the blue) to ensure that it's saved. This is useful for changing the status of the call (OPEN, RESPONDING, ON SCENE, or COMPLETE), as well as completing the after action report at the end of each call. This can be as simple as a few words about the outcome.
There's an "Options" tab located to the far right of the navigation bar near the top of the program's interface. You'll see a button called "Patrol Report", this will generate a report of the entire patrol complete with patrol statistics, a full call log with time stamps, the time a date of the patrol, and a dispatcher's signature. In the future, there will be an easy integration for enjin websites. With the click of a button the report will be post-able to the forums!
