Nice video! I don't model cars but It helps to see what it's like and could be a good tutorial seeing what you did if I ever wanted to get into modeling.

I know it seems like a good idea now to upload this but in the future you'll regret you did it. I regret uploading my tutorial and thats why I took it down. If you want to know why  PM me, because I"m not going to post it on here. Don't want to go off topic on your tutorial

That time is already here, dude. You're just not mature enough to understand it.

He's exactly right, If you want to help this community and preserve the quality of model that we had you'll take it down. Otherwise the quality of models is slowly going to decline and already has.

I think I'm mature enough to understand that this is helping people. It may be somewhat incorrect and bad, but it gets the job done and people like it. If it was horribly wrong and poisoning people then I would take it off immediately. As of right now I'm getting thanks from people which tells me it's working for them, and that's all I wanted, to help other get models working and to present a way to do it. You're entitled to your own opinion, like I am to mine, and as of now I see somethings wrong with the video, and like I said, most people like it. If you can convince me that something fundamentally is incorrect with this video then I'll remove it.

I didn't mean there was any problem with your video, the video is great. What I was saying is people aren't going to use it how you think they will. I also made a tutorial very similar and got the same feedback, people loved it.. But then shortly after all these models started coming out that were of horrible quality because people were overcoming the main problem by using my tut. The main problem was gettin the textures/models to import properly. People are making models in 15 minutes by just importing some parts and calling it a model and they release it. Modeling isn't about cranking something out in 15 minutes. I was hoping by writing my tutorial that it would cause people to learn the basics and then build their skills and have a good quality model before releasing something but that wasn't what happened. I'm sure you have the same intentions. This is just my opinion but others do agree with me. I guess all I can try and "convince" you of is that to preserve the quality of models that are being released, it would be my recommendation to remove it. People can figure this stuff out and clearly are if they really want to learn. We did. Some people do honestly want to learn and continue at this and I"m sure my tutorial has helped some of those who are starting to release good work. It also may have contributed to many of the sub-par  models that have 15 downloads...

^This. But his tut did more damage than profit and he didn't see that coming. Look at the quality, dude. "A liberty thrown on a CVPI" has become a popular taunting sentence in the community today. Your video is great and all, but you're becoming a cause of doom. Open your eyes before its too late. The quality is getting compromised with each download which is being submitted to the downloads section as we speak. And that is not good for the community. If you understand this much, you're my hero. If not, I understand you enjoy getting "thanks, I love you" messages everyday and want to keep em coming.

Oce again youre exactly right. I don't even need to add anything to this. From what I said to this, our case has been presented

Thats great but my tutorial did more damage than good so I took it down. Unfortunately the people who truly wanted to learn and develop great mods suffered from that

There is people that want to make models for their own personal use that have no intension of releasing it to the public. I don't want to bother anyone with making a model my way. It is easier just to make one myself I have tried a bunch of times and run into problems each time but the more videos and tutorials there are the closer I get to finishing one. The people that appreciate quality will seek out models that are posted with quality. Not showing someone something because you are afraid they are not going to do a good job is kind of selfish I think. Thank you for posting this video I hope it helps me when I give it another try this weekend.

Yeah...and the world is made out of chocolates and I have a rainbow farting unicorn in my backyard.

If only you were right. Because NickieB thought the same way as you while preparing that tut. The only problem is, people love attention. And no one, except a handful, wants to keep their mods to themselfs. If you know even 1% of modding, you too would want to be known/popular/famous like EVI and KevinDV. The best way to achieve it, they see is- release everything you have. Even if you or they don't need it. Thats the the major misconception deteriorating this community. People think quantity matters. Its quality which does. And in order to achieve quantity, they're compromising on quality. That is why NickieB took his tut down.

Anyways, hlsavior clearly does not have any intention to take this tutorial down. Our job was to advice, so did we. Now we can't help if himself and his users want a little attention from those who aren't into modding yet. Just wait for your users to see this video and start ignoring or flaming on your mods since in no time they'll be able to make theirs, thanks to this video. Once again, we have no intentions of pushing anybody around or else NickieB won't ever have shared the knowledge he accumulated over a of period time with no such tutorials but with pure trial and error. Here you're given everything baked and cooked. And the world doesn't work on the principle of spoonfeeding. You have to lose some to gain some. Period.

Troy out.

THIS.

I'm one of those people, trying to learn how to do things the right way and how to create above standard content. Unfortunately, there just aren't that many great tutorials out there anymore so, it's a slow going learning process; it's really unfortunate.
