JOHNNYLAWLESS reacted to BIGDAD30 in Using a controller?the playstation 4 controller is also compatible with windows 10. that is the controller I play with. in order to get it to work you have to download a program called ds4windows. http://ds4windows.com/ when you install the program, go to settings and click hide ds4 controller. that will make your computer think its an xbox controller. I use it with no problems on lspdfr.

JOHNNYLAWLESS reacted to CouthInk4 in Using a controller? Why are you trying to connect it via a HDMI cable? That's not how HDMI cables work...
You'll either need the USB cable for it or you'll have to buy the USB dongle. LSPDFR and all the plugins support an XBOX controller so you shouldn't have any issues with it.

JOHNNYLAWLESS reacted to brysonblandford in first response crashingProbably gonna have to wait until Ragehook updates.

I can wait another year and not be annoyed, as well as hyped. Everything is worth wile from you! So hyped.

Update: currently waiting for some other plugins (BetterEMS, CustomBackup, new RPH, my other plugins etc.) to get their updates released. This is not something I have control over for the most part. The full release will wait until that satisfactorily happens to ensure proper functionality - once it does I can pack everything up for a release. Apologies for the delay.
-
HA! Been there, done that - and it works well in my game, mind you.

JOHNNYLAWLESS reacted to Nikopol in GTAV after UPDATE!!!You don't! Remove the file from your directory and you should be good to go. Beware that to play online you need to properly clean your installation, otherwise you're at risk of Rockstar's ban.

JOHNNYLAWLESS reacted to JClem in HELP THE NEWBIES!!!If you're replacing cars, then you'll have to find the default paths for the meta files, and installation path stated above. However, for any add-on vehicles, I highly recommend the custom cars DLC on gta5-mods.com. Basically, any add-on cars and all their files are put into one single folder and not scattered all over the place across the game files. Makes add-on projects such as new departments a million times easier.
My humble 2 cents. Good luck!

JOHNNYLAWLESS reacted to ToastinYou in HELP THE NEWBIES!!!ANY REPLACEMENT VEHICLE MODEL THAT YOU DOWNLOAD CAN, AND ULTIMATELY SHOULD BE, PLACED IN Mods > update >x64 > dlcpacks > patchday13ng >dlc.rpf > x64 > levels > gta5 > vehicles.rpf
It's that simple.
-
JOHNNYLAWLESS reacted to ToastinYou in HELP THE NEWBIES!!!Yeah those you just have to rely on the vehicle modelers to provide you with the correct information on how to install those. If I download a vehicle model and there is insufficient information I usually just go fetch another model to use.

JOHNNYLAWLESS got a reaction from TheCanadianDream in HELP THE NEWBIES!!!Hi all, Just a suggestion!!! There are a lot of awesome ELS vehicles that i want to download, but!!! a lot of the authors assume that all who use this mod are as savvy as they are in installation protocols, some of us are not! It would be great to have installation paths in the read me. That being said, i would like to thank all the hard working modders who freely share their skills so we can all enjoy the wonderful world of LSPDFR!!!

This is an issue with the ReloadAllPlugins command.
Checking each plugin individually makes it work.
The RagePluginHook Discord has some more information in one of the channels.

JOHNNYLAWLESS reacted to ATU in [Fix] Blips staying on map and not disappearingThanks Albo! I thought about downgrading Ragehook to 0.41 or 0.42 in desperation and trying with that but wanted to check the forums out first. Came back to LSPDFR after about 7 months and was really sad that my clean install of GTA 5, LSPDFR and plugins was not working properly. :)
Albo's latest updates are good with 0.41, 0.42 (and 0.43, although that is not an option) as far as I can tell.
EDIT: 0.44 was released today, first thing on their changelog is: "Fixed a bug introduced in v0.43, preventing blips from being deleted." :)

JOHNNYLAWLESS reacted to ineseri in One simple questionBy restoring the backups you made prior to installing the modifications. If you didn't do that, you'll have to reinstall or verify your game cache (Steam).

JOHNNYLAWLESS reacted to ScottyTooHotty in One simple questionGo find any police3 model not in the mods folder (x64e/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf should be fine), drag and drop the original police3 files to your desktop, then go to where your modded vehicle is located and replace it with the original police3 files you put on your desktop just moment ago. And there you have the original files installed again! :)

JOHNNYLAWLESS got a reaction fromDeactivated Memberin Highway Cop HelmetThank you both for your replies. Being so new to LSPDFR and very computer dumb(old guy, lol), if possible i need it spelled out,i.e.what exactly do i type in the trainer. Again sorry for my ignorance, i saw the mod on you tube and liked it so much i thought i would give it a try. Three year ago i found Lcpdfr and never really got a hang of it so i gave it up, this time around i found some great you tube tutorials that helped a lot with LSPDFR and i'm rollin'!!! The helmet thing is my only issue right now. Again thank you in advance for your help.
