It's very different to World of Tanks in the way vehicles are destroyed and such. In World of Tanks, you just slap the highest penetration gun on your tank and you win. In War Thunder, there's actually realistic physics behind the shells you fire and if you have too much penetration, your shell will just fly in one side and out the other doing minimal damage. There's actually shell fragmentation too, which you can see in the 1.43 video I linked at about 1:30. Definitely, it's a lot of fun. It can be a bit of a grind sometimes (you have to expect that with a F2P though) but it's a whole lot of fun. Hit me up if you ever want to play together.

As the other War Thunder topic has been dead for a long time now, I felt the need to create a brand new one. War Thunder has also come a long way since August last year, making the other topic fairly irrelevant. So, what is this War Thunder you speak of? War Thunder is a free to play multiplayer military game set around World War II where the player either takes control of aircraft or tanks (or both). Ground Forces are a fairly new addition to War Thunder and as of patch 1.43 there are only German and Russian tanks to choose from. It is expected that patch 1.45, which will feature American tanks, is to be released in the next few weeks. I've got no particular plans for the holidays this year (so far) so I'll probably end up sitting on my computer as usual, but next year I'll hopefully be jetting off to Tokyo for my 18th, which I am really excited about.

That's what I'm saying, nobody gets pissed when men are the target of violence, but as soon as women are the target the shit hits the fan. It's one of those ridiculous double standards deals. I buy all my games from JB Hi Fi anyway so this doesn't affect me but it's still stupid.

This never even crossed my mind but it's very true, though not many woman actually fought (at-least for the Commonwealth and America, I know the USSR had several women only platoons) women played a huge roll back home and at nursing stations which raised their equality to that of a mans.

That's true, but it most likely wouldn't of been a major priority. Take radar for example, radar became more and more powerful during World War II as there was need to alert friendly forces of incoming enemy forces. There's a large chance that if those enemy forces weren't there, radar never would be what it is today.
