  1. how many hours a day do you play. And if I hacked the server and reset your stats would you concider jumping on a plane with the intention of causeing me a slow and painfull death a reasonable reaction ? Edit: PS, I don't have the skills or brains to hack my own account let alone anyone elses or a server.
  2. First of all, Back up on it's way doesn't always show on screen as text. Also when in a pursuit, (in car) you use the F keys. F10 for helicopter F11 for Noose back up and F12 for regular police back up. The Alt keys are used when on foot and not in car. Alt B = police back up. Alt N = noose, Alt V = helicopter.
  3. Nice vid, btw Hove beach is Brighton not Southampton :) Love hearing Yorkshire accent. Not heard "peg it" in years. I can see people outside the UK googleing that. Like you don't take yourself too seriously too. Ehe up ! Great uniforms. imo you should do a pack with cars skins sirens uniforms etc. like the Toronto mod. Your call though obviously.
  4. Excellent. You have been doing some research, which speaks volumes about yourself. Yes on this site if you ask the question which is best, LCPDFR or Police pursuit mod you will get a biased answer because most here have made that decision long ago. But even though it's biased, it's still an honest answer when people say they they prefer LCPDFR otherwise they wouldn't be here. I tried PPM and son't get me wrong it's a good mod and a lot of work has gone into it but for me anyway there just is no comparison. I found PPM had far too much text going on accross the screen and just didn't have the same realistic atmosphere. Anyway this is something you are going to have to make your mind up about too. When you have tried both we will see you back here :) A good site for related downloads is GPM GTA Police Mods. But that said there are lots of smaller sites with downloads that are exclusive to that one site. This site for example in the download section has several exclusive items. Best advice is keep doing what you are doing which is gathering info but dont forget to actually play as well :) Welcome to the forums. Edit: there is a Toronto mod with cars sirens and all sorts available in the download section of this site if thats something that interests you. There are also other more general Canadian items ranging from car paintjobs to sirens as well. Looks like you allready found some of that stuff :)
  5. Once GTAIV is installed you can copy your GTA IV folder to another location and mod that folder to LCPDFR and then yes, you will indeed have a working copy of the GTAIV game with the Niko story line and a working copy of LCPDFR totally seperate from each other. Just never save a game while playing LCPDFR, there is no need to anyway as your progress / stats are saved on this server but saving while playing LCPDFR can corrupt your save game files for the main story. Like I said though there is no reason to save while playing LCPDFR anyway :)
  6. Server has been a bit slow for me now and then past few days but for me nothing like the problems you speak of. Might be a browser issue.
  7. Well a hard copy is always nice. I am just too lazy to hit the center of town shops. Also not watched the vid in this thread since it was first posted but that prob' takes you through the patching process. I may be wrong though. But anyway, you get game, download latest patch and run a self installer. If you can install a game you will be able to work out how to patch. If not there are people here to help. But cross that bridge when you come to it. All you need is the game GTAIV, an internet connection, and a PC able to run GTAIV. If you have those 3 things LCPDFR is a few clicks away. But before you buy make sure your PC can handle GTA IV as it takes a fair bit of resources to run.

  10. OK sorry if I jumped to conclusions. Steam do a decent deal on GTA packages at the moment, and they come patched up to date. Or you can prob' get just as good deals online if you want a solid copy. As for patching I am the last person to advise tbh as I use steam so have never had to patch my game. But I imagine it's as easy as runnig any self installer.
  11. And people wonder why developers don't release everything on PC. We will be lucky to see GTA V on PC. Allready p!$$wd about red ded. This may be an alien and outdated concept but BUY IT ! Sorry if that offends you that I was so blunt, but it offends me that no one is honest it seems anymore, and theft is now accepted as common practice and acceptable. Paint it anyway you want. It;s theft and it stops me from playing Red dead redemtion on pc which is by far the biggest issue here. Rant over.
  12. Yep I am always pulling over passengers with no helmet. Also I get loads, and I do mean loads of peds riding without helmets. Will have to take note from now on how many differnet types of non helmet motorcyling peds I come across. Also this has to be ilegal anyway whatever the reason so he is still gonna get pulled over by me :)
  13. ok, there is a ped in GTAIV that while playing LCPDFR I always used to give a citation to for not wearing a crash helmet. Now though I'm not so sure. Looks to me like he has an Afro wig on top of his crash helmet (see image). When I ask him to step of the motorcycle the wig is removed and droped to the floor with the sound effect of a crash helmet being dropped, and he then seems to have a short hair style. So 2 questions really. Is he wearing a wig on top of his crash helmet ? And secondly, is that legal ? If it isn't legal I will continue to issue citations to him. Pretty sure that's not legal in the UK, and allthough Liberty is not real I tend to use US / New York laws as a guide. So any guidance on the second part of the question would be good. Image.. 14. Sounds like you downloaded a ELS lighting enabled car but havent instaled the program ELS. Google "ELS ver 6" Then use J to operate primary lights and K for secondary. There are othe things as well so read the read me file in ELS when you download it. Also whats that "priority toggeled off" from ?
  15. Increase the flash delay number. ie: something higher than zero. Edit: spelling
  16. I was going to ask a question about how you deal with people who act like spoilt brats, demanding you work 24/7 on a mod they get for free, and when they find an issue in that mod they complain like somehow you have ripped them off and broken some kind of imaginary contract with them. Most smack comments from people seem to come from those that cant even import a new skin let alone code a game and develop a mod from scratch. I myself would not have the patience and would let rip on such ungratefull species but the last week or so I have seen your approach to such people in action. And hats off to you, each time these people are dealt with calmly and in a proffesional way. So before it seems like I am brown noseing I will ask something else instead as that question has been answered by actions :) We play LCPDFR for relaxation and fun in our spare time. What other games apart from LCPDFR do you enjoy and play in your spare time. Also are there any games over the years that have had an effect on the way you look at gameplay development, or what games do you think are responsible for breaking new boundaries ? Are there any mods that stand out that you have a ot of respect for ?

  21. Dust or fluff / lint in the laser window underneath can cause what seems like lag. A hoover nozzle on it normally does the trick if it's because the laser light cant reflect properly. Other than that not come accross mouse lag.
  22. *drifts of into a nice little daydream about how GTAIV could of been.* Bugger, gonna be late now !
  23. haha Nice one. *Remembers not to cough or sneeze if you knock on my door. (wonders how many people will understand that reference) I am making a vid that has many film references. Some obvious some obscure. It's taking a long time though :( Just getting the sound files out of GTAIV that I want takes time. And then I'm not sure WMV can hack what I am trying to do. The main storyboard is a ripoff from dirty Harry and the Scorpio case. Well if someone else does it first now, good luck to them :) I am a bitt of a film nutt and like any references to movies. Especially cult movies that might not be mainstream. I put Pelham 123 in that niche. Surprised no one has done a decent Warriors vid with GTAIV. Although the Movie is a bit dated now. When I watch it I keep thinking why dont they just steal a car. And for you youngens, The Warriors was a movie long before R* made a game out of it :)
