OMG just seen some of the new stuff listed. New taser system, well we knew about that but a ton of stuff that was kept quiet. The helicopter reworking I am really pleased to see. Kinda broke my imersion when everyone fell out and the chopper crashed to the ground. Bit late for me to try it all out but at least I can read about the changes. Thank you everyone involved for your work. Ahh crap just realised I cant play till tomoz evening. Stupid Mondays :(

I voted website maintenance, but only cause I like to see grown men cry. Truth is I think it's the long awaited "Hello Kitty body armor" uniform upgrade.

Just wanted to make clear that if you expected the exact same cars and uniforms that you see in that vid then you should know the person that made that vid changed the cars and uniforms from the default ones. Some people like to add their own content in this way. You don't need to add anything if you don't want to... The mod comes with everything you need, it's just some like change things to meet their own personal tastes. Just thought I would mention that in case you were under the impression there was a different LCPDFR version with those specific models. Of course there is nthing to stop you adding those models once you have downloaded LCPDFR but you will have to download and add them seperately. Also worth noteing these kinds of changes add nothing to gameplay, just the apperance. LCPDFR can be played out the box without changeing a thing. It's all about personal preference.

Thanks for you input and effort but in the end changing the flag in the .ide seems to have had the desired effect on the couple of cars I wanted to change. But anyway thx for the effort. Edit: I have saved the image anyway in case I need it in future ;)

I have tried a few things to remove the dirt visuals from my cars. tbh I don't mind then getting dirty but the speed at which they aquire dirt is far too quick. And I am getting sick of cleaning every 10 mins. So question is does anyone know how I can slow down the process. That would be ideal. But I know it's prob' easier to explain to me how to make a no dirt texture. I have tried exporting the image and messing with the texture but that just gives the car that grey / transparent effect. Pretty sure replaceing with some kind of transparent layer is the way to go just not sure what the process is. I am using gimp but whatever works in photoshop will also work on gimp so any help would be cool. TY. Just had a thought. Does something like openIV let you remove the texture comepletely ? and if so does that have any major side effect ?

There was a time I had every Medal of honour game. I loved them from the first right up until they released (can't remember the name) the pacific campaign which should have been awesome, but for me it fell short of the quality of the rest. That said I never looked at the other releases after that so I will look into it as had forgot about that line of games. Always prefered MOH to COD. Good thing about the 2 recomendations so far is they are both cheap :) Could get 4 or 5 games at this rate for what I payed for LA NOIR a month or 2 ago. Metro 2033 not heard of that so looking forward to seeing what thats all about. From what you said has some of the key features I'm after too.

The only question your likely to get is ....."who are you ?" As pointed out, the only reason these threads are sucessfull is when they are made by people who are regognised and respected in the community. Make several dozen vids about LCPDFR that have a huge following or code an awesome police mod for GTAIV and then people might be interested in your views and opinions. Can you see why now this thread is doomed ?

LCPDFR is by far the game I play most at the moment and has been for several months but at times I like to let of steam and I find FPS / Action games are best for this. So I'm looking for ideas / recomendations for a FPS / action game. I have the Battlefield seies and Modern Warfare which I play MP but I am looking for a single player FPS against AI that I can pick up and leave anytime I feel like it. I prefer it to be a solitary character, I hate having to look after AI team mates who always get themselves killed or get in the way. In the past this type of game I have enjoyed the most have been the origional Half life, entering black messa gave me a feeling of isolation which was great. An old game but worth a mention. The first FEAR game. Again a feeling of isolation and being on my own against the AI. Also the AI in this game were pretty smart. Silent Hill 2 allthough not a true FPS was imersive and scared the shit out of me. Max payne II with it's bullet time was good. (this was back when I had PS2) Fallout 3 was brill. I have a steam account so anything on special deal or cheap is double great but not a must. I see Max payne 2 is

What browser are you using. Some people have had issues with Internet explorer and old versions of Firefox. IE is a pile of junk anyway and if it's firefox or any other browser try updateing it to a newer version because it really does sound like a browser issue imo. Also do you have admin rights to the PC. Maybe someone else can cooment how that can cause issues if you don't as I gotta go out :)

Just for future reference it's better to make a new thread but as the OP has had his problem sorted I guess it's ok Are you using one of the downoaded 100% savegame files. I used to use these, but they require Xlive to work which as you said stops you getting online for MP. If you are then by just finishing the first mission and then running LCPDFR opens all the islands up anyway. Dsound will crash, or not load at all when trying to run a saved game that uses Xlive afaik. Just something to concider as it catches people out when trying to play MP (me included) Also friendly advise: Edit your posts rather than double posting right after a post you just made. The mods like to keep things tidy and don't like double posting.

Then use Dsound. It's what I use. Dsound is recomended anyway. It's just some peopke prefer Xlive and it works better for them. And please don't shout, I have a headache

Check for things running in the background on your PC. Check nothing is downloading updates like anti virus software or worse torrent stuff. Anything running in the background will obviously take resourses. Above post: Once in game press left Alt + P and then go to a police station to go on duty. After pressing left Alt + P the screen may go blury, just press P on its own once to reset that. Also if it works ok the map will now have police staions marked by stars. If you are asking how to actually instal the mod after downloading, then whatch the video that can be found in the support section.

Pretty much what has allready been said by everyone else as the reasons why I prefer LCPDFR. But also PPM for me had way too much text stuff happening on the screen. At any moment I was expecting a text message on screen to say "you have opened the door to your cruiser" But it's personal opinion. PPM is a good mod but LCPDFR has far the greater long term appeal.
