To the op... Before you go out and buy GTAIV pease make sure your PC is up to the job. It's a game that can be quite demanding on the pc.

You could always stream something like this in the background http://www.radiorefe...=wp&feedId=1189 Note: this is live steam so give it a minute or 2 as there are long pauses and silence. Or add files to your music.

I installed RC2 over RC1 with no problems. Just follow the auto installer and accept the defaults. That will give you an updated .ini file as well. You will only run into issues if you try to go advanced, but the installer will tell you don't do this unless you know what you are doing etc. So it's pretty much fool proof :) Short answer: yes it works fine. You don't need a clean install.

A hard lesson just about everyone has to learn. No matter how many times the read me file says back up before modding people don't until this happens. Myself and hundreds of others had to learn the same way. Any file you mod, make sure you back up the origional. I keep an entire copy of the game in another place. That way I have every origional file I could want.

Cool, think I will give it a try in a week or 2. At the moment I want to keep RC2 free from such things as I ams still learning the in and outs of RC2. Criminal acts also puts you inline to have your car jacked, which yeah can get old quick. At least this has an .ini and chance regulator. Thx for answers.

Sorry to jump into your thread celticfang but a question for Kjel0112. That "crew" that go around clearing cars, can you tell them apart from other peds somehow ? Like by a certain type of clothing etc, or does it look just as if any old ped took a car ? Also as mentioned in op's reply, does it run well alongside LCPDFR, and do they get flaged as a criminal to you at all ?

I had to look on the net to find out what this was. Looks pretty good, we only get one channel in England and that finishes at 10.30pm but we will prob' get it in a year or so when it gets sold off cheap.

Lol, well I only give them citations as well. But since I made this thread I have been keeping note of the different types of peds that ride without helmets. Not including the guy in the origional image I have linked them below. They often appear in various different ways. Different hair, clothes etc but I have only counted the main type of ped and not the variations. I take it then the intention was for the marker to disapeer as soon as you had dealt with the ped. Cause just realised that of course if you ask a ped to wait, you havent finished dealing with them.

Can comfirm it goes away when you go around the block. It's quite usefull to know what peds you have told to stay put and wait when in an area full of peds like star juction. Without this it could be hard to turn around and know what peds you are dealing with. In short, as said it's not an error or bug. AFAIK anyway :)

A long time ago I noticed text boxes were no longer showing up for me when back up was called. tbh I no longer notice if they ever show or not, but will keep an eye out now you've mentioned it. Edit: just checked and for me the text message does show up still but not everytime.
