CG Blaze reacted to Chris780 in A Recurring Problem: Outright Hostility Towards Constructive CriticismWell said @c13
I've been around since 2011. This was a problem then and it always will be. Hopefully this will shed some more light on the obvious.
As much as I love looking at everyone's gallery posts that inspire me to launch my game, once I get in, I'm bored. It's the same thing over and over and over. I limit myself to the calls I take in game because they're truly boring as hell. My favorite call is a random callout pack where you respond to a domestic, arrive on scene, and both parties agree to leave the property. It's realistic, and it doesn't require 438 keybinds to get the job done.

CG Blaze got a reaction from Slendis in A Recurring Problem: Outright Hostility Towards Constructive CriticismOne point I'd like to add to this that I think seriously needs addressing as well is the quality of criticism and feedback itself.
It's far too often that I see reviews on files that are like 3/5 stars with the only reason given being something along the lines of "it's not the lightbar I like so I could only give 3/5 stars."
Or the total opposite of that, where a file is riddled with bugs or is sloppily thrown together and it's getting 5/5 because "OMG I LOVE THIS AGENCY/LIGHTBAR/etc."
Note that neither of these examples have any actual feedback at all, which is the entire point and definition of a review.
Does the file live up to its description? Is it a quality product? Are things scaled properly? Are they accurate to the prototype or were creative liberties taken? Does everything work as it should? These are things that should be addressed via the review system. Objective reasoning, not a wishlist.
Please, in the future, rate and review files based on what they are, not what you want them to be.

CG Blaze reacted to Phaxol in [WIP] Interaction+ | Suspect Observation | Field Sobriety Test | More!Hello all, I am here to announce the development of my latest plugin, Interaction+. I would say at this point it is about halfway completed.
Currently, 4 features are planned:
Suspect Observation
Observe suspect's pupils, demeanor, and odor to determine if further investigation is needed Works based off of TrafficPolicer and DarkMyre's Search Warrent APIs Not a definitive source of info, some peds may keep their cool around police and give no indication they are carrying something illegal, vice versa nervous people may be following the law but don't like cops. It is up to you to ultimately decide. Drugs and alcohol intoxication are heavily weighted to show in the observation since these are a lot harder to hide. Example observations: https://imgur.com/a/4rFOw Field Sobriety Test
Make a ped walk in a line in front of you and back to determine if they are impaired or not Impairment is currently observed by use of ragdoll at some point during the test If ped is intoxicated, test will be heavily weighted for them to fail, although there is a small chance they will pass Sober peds will always pass for sake of investigation K9 Traffic Stop Assist
Call a K9 to a traffic stop and have it inspect the suspect vehicle for narcotics Not yet implemented, so no further details Read Miranda Rights
Now you can read arrested peds their Miranda Rights just like real cops. Don't get your case thrown out for this silly mistake! Currently no function other than aesthetic, maybe a plan in the future where LSPDFR+ court cases will be affected by this
Current Progress:
Observations: 95% Field Sobriety Test: 95% K9 Traffic Stop Assist: 90% Miranda Rights: 100%
If you have anything that you would like to see, change, or improve, please let me know!
Thank you

CG Blaze reacted to t0y in Contributors in showroomsHi there fellas. So as well all know, when someone uploads a file they can give someone the role of "Contributor" by adding their name, and it will display them as a Contributor on the top right of the file, and in the comments, when they reply they will get a "Contributor" tag next to their name in place of "Author" I think this should be adapted to threads in the modification showroom section. For example, I have recently created a little "design team" called New York Modifications, where we showcase our work on mods, and there are about 10 members, we each post our own parts and things like that. Anyway it would be cool if they had a little "Contributor" tag next to them, and I could tag them on the thread itself as well.
Both the author and the contributors would have the Contributor tag next to their name:
Idk. Just an idea :D

CG Blaze got a reaction from Hystery in Ex-St. Louis cop found not guilty of murderEh I dunno about this. Hard to tell what went on with the shooting itself. I don't necessarily think the "I'm gonna kill this motherf***er" is sufficient evidence to say he shot him for no reason. I say that daily in stressful situations and have yet to actually kill anybody. :)
However, it's pretty obvious these cops were acting incredibly recklessly throughout this chase, and THAT needs to be seriously looked at. Flying through city blocks and intersections like that is sketchy enough, as evidenced by their collision with a tree. But opening fire on a fleeing vehicle in public like that? Totally reckless. Ramming (not even PIT-ing) a vehicle, in a highly populated area, into oncoming traffic (and hitting a civilian vehicle in the process (would've been a head on collision if they timed it wrong) cannot be ignored and is straight up negligent in my eyes.

CG Blaze reacted to Reddington in Ex-St. Louis cop found not guilty of murderNo, it's not, and he should be held accountable for this via the justice legal system. I know for a fact a lot of cops have a habit of wanting to make someone pay who shot at them or did anything along the lines of trying to kill them. What he did was unacceptable, yes, but it's not justification for taking matters into your own hands and dishing out revenge.

CG Blaze reacted to Jedahdiah in Jedahdiah's Vehicle Mods.Welcome to my showroom of works in progress, progress of the works, and in the works progress.
I've only been communicating through the medium of photo's over on the gallery and you guys seem to like what I put together, so I bit the bullet and started a WIP showroom thread...
...as a infamous unknown man once said: "This can only go badly."
I'll be posting vehicle stuff here of what I'm working on, along with if I need testers for somethings or if I'm going to release something. I might do requests depending on how I'm feeling.
Anyway, get the last page of the thread for the most recent updates and works in progress and feel free to leave comments/suggestions/harsh, soul destroying, rage-quitting criticism too.

Currently in progress: 1990 Chevy Caprice Police/Sheriff Vehicles
Using Lundy's beautiful Chevy Caprice I've added the Mars Skybolt light bar, a modified version of the Mar Skybolt Light bar with a CJ-184 Beacon and a standard Ray Model Beacon 17 Beacon with the speaker from the Mars Skybolt Light bar in front of it.
Features:
The vehicle currently comes with three liveries, a white LSSD livery, a black and white BCSO livery and and black and white LSPD livery. Each vehicle comes with the standard 3 extras: rambar (extra_1), spotlights down (extra_2) and spotlights up (extra_3). Trying to keep with era of the car, even though it's more fictional than accurate, inside there is a Lojack console, radio, siren control box, shotgun, speaker, cage, and sheriff's hat. Also comes with trunk equipment too (aesthetics bro!). Non-els for all those who love coronas.
To be done:
Keep tweaking bits and bobs on the vehicles Illusionyary has giving me permission to use some of his old stuff on the vehicles, so putting together a couple of other liveries. Other things too.
Known issues:
Lightbars: Collisions are off (the pretty much have none), including crashing/shooting at them. That might be down to my incompetence of flagging stuff in zmodeler.
Credits (so far):
I did my best to search and locate all of the original DEV stuff I have downloaded. If I've missed anyone or if I find out who created the asset, I'll update the list.
Release: No clue. Soon? Maybe. Probably needs to be tested first by others.
