  1. Great Series! Subscribed!
  2. The PC Master Race will always prevail. You can't leave. You won't leave. :D
  3. Why mute yourself? Because it prevents large scale religious and political based flamewars. And no, I don't really buy it. Stating an opinion, is what I mentioned earlier. So You can feel free to state your opinion. However, why say "Signed?" You didn't address that. What? You're proud and want to state that you signed it? Are you that egotistical? If you couldn't have posted saying that you signed it. And if you couldn't tell anyone if you signed it. Would you still have signed it?
  4. I skipped over half the thread, so I may have missed a change in pace..... But why. Why are we discussing and arguing over region on a forum for a great GTA4 Massive Gameplay Modification. Anything worse, and we'd be dragging politics into this. Half of these comments I see are simply baiting a response. If you sign or don't sign, regardless of your opinion on LGBT, why would you comment if you did or didn't? You're either looking for a fight, or you're looking for recognition for a "good deed" Quite frankly none of you should have said if you did or didn't sign in the first place. The only comments that should have came up was about the humanity, legality, and maybe even a "thanks for posting this man!" to whoever the OP was. This should not have turned into an argument. and no one should have said if they did or didn't sign. As I said before. Why say "I signed" and "I will not sign?" You're either A) looking for recognition for doing what you believe to be, the right thing.(Are people incabable of doing the right thing without expecting recognition?) Or you're B) looking to start an argument.
  5. First of all, I'd like to point out that GTA5 is listed for a preliminary date as Fall '14 Second, I would recommend *not* going off a suggest build only, but ALSO only going for something which specs have *already been tested with LCPDFR* Its no secret that GTA4 is a strange optimized game. I have an AMD dual crossfire setup that statistically should run GTA4 fine, but it runs barely playable(with CFX on and off, even though GTA4 does have a profile...). And with GTA4, the specific card matters more than picking Nvidia over AMD. ~ I know several guys with Nvidia setups technologically superior to my setup, and they actually have *worse* performance in GTA4. Again, it doesn't matter the power of card, the manufacturer, or series. What matters is if its been tested and proven to work well with GTA4(as I assume LCPDFR is your main focus besides COD, which is an easy hand.) And off your budget, you may want to look at pre-built. Custom built/assembled PC's only become cost efficient at higher prices. in a lower price-range, pre-built PC's are far more worth their money(specifically because of the bundled operating system, which you won't want win 8, and win xp ceases to be supported, meaning I'd suggest looking at Win 7 pre-built machine for the cheapest cost/hardware&OS). I'm sorry, I have to cut you off there. First of all, because an Intel i7 2 core workbook processor will handle better than an AMD hex-core, and specifically better than an intel quad core i5 on low scale. On top of that, GTA4 is only multi-threaded optimised for 4 cores(maybe 2, don't remember), but certainly not 6. @ OP: a 2 core will suffice, esp if its a higher grade core. However, higher power cores introduce insane heat levels, which you do have to watch out for. the suggested graphics card(GTX760 - 2GB), you may want to examine changing to a GPU with more VRAM. GTA4 does do a lot of rendering, however, there is also a significant texture amount(which I personally have trouble handling with a 2GB base VRAM). @ davelaric, your suggested build, an H100i would not fit in. Most cases you could fit an H100i in, are only E-ATX & XLATX cases. If you have any questions directly, feel free to PM me, I am not active on forums often.
  6. I wasn't suggesting an exception, but a change in policy(which technically, if done fast enough, could still apply to the case IF it was at state level, as policy changes still effect active cases, but in distinction may not effect previously ruled cases(unless policy change resulted in reduction of sentencing). In this change in policy, I was suggesting they change from their current, no crime gets death, to extremely violent crimes get death.
  7. As I said, previously they felt that no crime deserved death. Now I'd be pretty certain they'd make an exception for this one(therefore changing their minds from "no crimes" to "extremely violent crimes"). Also, which surveys are you referring? It's a hot topic, that means it's going to be virtually the same thing as "surveys" conducted by NBC vs. Fox. They will have biased interest groups, that swing 1 side. And on account of your entire argument that punishment should be decided by those affected, The Boston Marathon is a relatively high publicity, high attraction event, this *includes* many people from out of state(i.e. far more than just those living within Massachusetts were effected).
  8. All it takes to strike that down is someone to get annoyed enough to push it up to the Supreme Court. Clearly no one has, as there are no, even proposed, cases towards the Supreme Court(let alone those taken.) And "legal" is a... touchy term. Legal by local? state? federal? Definitely not constitutional, that's for sure(Amdmt 4 for seizure, 5th, 6th, 14th for presumption of innocence, and cite Coffin v. United States Supreme Court decision) And here, Stuff changes. A lot. Look at common rulings like Brown v. Board of Education (got re-rolled through a year later from inactivity), or Plessy v Ferguson. People do change their minds. Stuff happens. Much like how Plessy was overturned through Brown, Griggs v. Duke Power, etc, etc.
  9. At this point, because of the specific crime, he is being trailed at federal level(murder, is technically a state offense, however, this is considered treason)- and therefore, doesn't really matter what anyone at the state level thinks. Treason: "The betrayal of one's own country by waging war against it or by consciously or purposely acting to aid its enemies." Treason is relatively straight and clear, it ends in Death Penalty. Edit: My personal opinion extends to: Kill him, or find some country, that doesn't treat prisoners well, to take him(although there is no valid reason to extradite him...)
  10. Let me propose it to the OP this way.... Either accept your free software, and don't complain, or go to some other game, where you get something like 1/3rd of what this *free* mod gives you, except for 15$. So either pay 45$ in DLC for stable(wouldn't even really be much more stable than LCPDFR anyways due to GTAIV engine instability), or pay nothing for not entirely stable. In short: If someone gives you something free of charge: Don't complain. EDIT: And major thanks to LCPDFR staff. Especially for sticking through this. I was working solo projects, on games such as World of Tanks, Fallout3, & FO:NV, even being one of the first to offer my mod within an installer for the games. After a point, I simply stopped in games like WoT because of the volume of complaints(about a 2:1 ratio for complaints to thank-yous, even though the complaints never involved any instability, or technical issues.). There is no way I would have as much patience as you guys do. Keep up the good work!
  11. Within the AMD network of GPU's, "7670m", the "m" stands for mobile. Normal desktop graphics will not have the "m" tag, whilst *all* AMD laptop cards will.
  12. Ok, so the crashes appear to have no similarity, except in log files, as the actions taking place in game have been in no way similar. The game is a full, unlocked(through IObit Unlocker), admin rights, fresh - vanilla, 1.0.7.0 install of the game. All microsoft required packages are installed, and everything seems to have gone well, except for the crashes(and the taser doesn't work, but that's the least of my worries). After LCPDFR installed, I added in a few reliable cop car models(charger, suburban, taurus, & cvpi), along with ELS 7.0 Attached are all 3 logs. AdvancedHook.log AdvancedHookInit.log LCPDFR.log EDIT: Literally nothing else. Entirely fresh install(after first downloading and completely updating the game from steam, I backed up that install which I now use for all fresh setups), not even running a traffic loader, as I'd rather sit around with the taxi bug until I can get LCPDFR itself working, then I can deal with the taxis.
  13. LCPDFR 1.0 from what I've seen: Includes it's own more reliable, more consistent plate reader more customization (soon to be I would assume) considerably more stable more integration of scripts what looks like a future live chat when using the police computer(currently shown ingame to be a test) far more options when dealing with pedestrians, etc more options in pursuits And hey, I actually saw an ambulance try to avoid the civ in the crosswalk!
  14. I'm definitely enjoying the changes* I have seen, however, my start definitely was a buggy 1. 2 FATAL errors within LCPDFR script resulting in game crash(shown in LCPDFR log file), and the report of shots fired call I took... it took me about 20 minutes to get to the guy who had spawned inside the wall of a building, through process of spamming 'e' till he surrendered, then running at the wall to try and handcuff him. I also did definitely notice the lack of callouts(after boosting multiplier to 500 and dragging min to 20s and max to 60s) and I saw no ambient activities at all(even after boosting max to 4, and multiplier to 500.) But, as many of my issues before in the game were caused from memory leaks, the game seems to be crashing no more than it already was.
  15. Thanks for the idea, I forgot about that workaround. Really appreciate the help :)
  16. I am aware that I can disable the overlays, and have. However, my goal is be able to record the game. Basically I'm asking if there is a known way to keep the overlays up without the game crashing.
  17. So, I'm sure people are at least reasonably aware of the general issue the game has with DirectX overlays(Steam, Dxtory, FRAPS, etc, etc), and how on many occasions, it can lead to a crash. I'm curious if anyone has a work around, specifically for a recording environment, as I'd like to record GTA/LCPDFR/ELS combo, but at current moment am not able to as a result from DirectX conflict. Any thoughts?
  18. Hey, it only took me 2 tries to get it ;P very intriguing picture.
