Short Indroduction: I recently started watching a lot of videos by police filmers etc, especially around the southern Los Angeles Area with all surburbs in that area (I know names like Hawthorne, Marina Del Rey, Torrance, Gardena, Compton, ... ) Scince South LS is the equivalent for South LA, it is pretty matching for roleplaying those areas. I know that Davis is based on Compton (No own PD, instead sheriff is the main law enforcement agency). So what I thought yesterday was "Why do I use LSPD cars in that aread instead of Rancho, Davis, Strawberry, ... instead of a dedicated PD." So this morning, I started searching for different things like liverys for Davis PD or liverys based on real PDs in that area liek Torrance, Gardena, etc. It turns out that I basically found nothing. All I got were 2 rather poorly done skins were something like "Davis Police" was written on the side and I pack that I didnt really enjoyed either. Scince I couldnt find anything, I started searching some pictures, and did my own quickfix for the situation. I did my own skin, but due to the fact that I have never done that before and I am not really familiar with grafic editing, its also a rather poor solution. I tried to do a "Davis Police" skin with the layout of Torrance PD because I like the rather minimalistic design. Long story short, here is the real point of the post: Am I a really bad searcher and does something like that (South LS PD Skins like a Davis Police based on real southern LA PDs) already exists? And if it doesnt, is somebody willing do to it in a more professional/cleaner way or are liverys like that in the planning/making? Greetings from germany

There are alot of memes here about that whole topic. I dont get it anyways. The US isnt known for their great rules about economic stfuff and yet everyone looses their mind. VW did fuck up with their manipulation but I personally think the rest of the car industry is like "Oh look at VW, those bad guys did some manipulations on their tests and stuff. Thats so horrible. Oh, and please dont look closer into our stuff. Please. Dont. We do everything correctly. We promise!!!" But yeah, you are right, maybe they just replace all of their VWs with Skoda :D And then its like the situation here, you can decide if you buy a VW or buy a WV with Skoda logo and save 20% ^^ Besides that, if I would ever be asked if I want an american car, I would choose this: Its not even that super-expensive as an import into germany for what its specs promise, but the costs for fuel are the real problem I guess^^

It took me about 10 minutes to figure our that a higher mpg is better... You and your weird units.... Those 51 mpg are a of course the "perfect" value Skoda likes to advertise. My average over the past 6 months is about 6 l/100 km (~ 40 mpg). But actually the cars you listet there are all comparable to the Fabia, I think its currently about 16.000$ And about the emmissions... you really think its related with that? I mean they use VW engines and technology and VWs are clearly sold in the US. Skoda is also fine when it comes to that.

They still produce a lot of cars in the Czech Republik and other parts of eastern europe, but they also started producing in India, Russia and China. I have attached a picture to this post. Yeah, its expectable. I mean, they sell about 100.000 cars combined to all countries that are not China or european. So I guess its a pretty rare thing. However, you do see american cars in germany from time to time.

To indtrouce this thread, I might need to go a bit wide in the story :) Im 20 yo and I got my first own car in oktober 2015. When you have an own car, you automatically pay attention to how many other cars of your brand are around. I started to realized how many Skodas are driving around in Germany. The brand is selling more and more cars each year in Europe and around the world and they are pretty sucessfull. I mean, why wouldnt they. They take 5% Skoda Design, 5% Skoda Technology and 90% VW Technology and sell it for way less then what an equal VW would be. I scrolled around the forum and read some topics about police cars today. And then I had a brainwave and wanted to know how the newest Skoda car would as a police car. Yes, my photoshop abilities are absolutly terrible and I basically didnt put any afford in in^^ And its not even the point. I would like to know your infos about Skoda around the world. Are they seen in other contries (like U.S.?). They barely sell them outside of Europe and Asia I guess so I am exited for any answers. And in general, what do you think about these cars? At least designwise, going into technical details would be kind of pointless ^^ (This is the car I own, not this one, but the model and Edition (Skoda Fabia III Edition) (Skoda Kodiaq) (Skoda Octavia)

An RAM upgrade might still be worth a thought. I usually ran GTA V with 8 GB of RAM and it was always filled up to ~ 7,8 GB. With 16 GB, it consumes even more than 8 GB. Especially ressource-heavy scripts such as Keep Calm. But actually, I cant tell you if it will be an performance + for you. So what this means is, if you think about an overhaul of your PC, do it completly if your budget allowes you to. So you are up to date on all parts. However, if your budget is tight, then of cource dont go for RAM first (dont cut the budget on CPU/GPU just to upgrade to 16 GB or RAM)

Im ersten Satz wird von "LSPDFR" gesprochen und später dann von LCPDFR. Deswegen wusste ich nicht genau um was es geht, nahm aber V an, da ich nicht geglaubt habe das IV noch gespielt wird. Für GTA IV kann ich nicht helfen.

I think electronic signs are a pretty good think. Actually, on some routes the also exist in germany but the coversage is way lower than in other countries. The "mobile system" is also not always used, obviously they dont always have a unit to go out and sit on the side of the street for hours

Auf jeden Fall Antivierensoftware und Ähnliches deaktivieren. Es kommt oft vor, dass Sachen rund um GTA V-Modding als Bedrohung eingestuft und blockiert werden. ("bad antivirus") Alternativ RPH mal als Administrator starten, ggf. gibt es Probleme beim Lese/Schreibzugriff im GTA-V-Verzeichnis ("insufficient permissions").

grapplinghook.exe? Was hat das mit LSDPFR zu tun? Um das einfache GTA V mit LSPDFR zu spielen, musst du genau 2 Schritte erledigen. 1) LSPDFR herunterladen, die Dateien ins GTA V-Verzeichnis schmeißen. 2) RagePluginHook herunterladen, auch ins GTA-V-Verzeichnis kopieren, wenn danach gefragt wird, Dateien kopieren und ersetzen. https://ragepluginhook.net/Downloads.aspx RagePluginHook.exe ausführen, fertig.

It was already mentioned multiple times, but scince it is really important, I want to clarify that. NEVER buy a prebuild PC. You will always have higher costs with that. Those offers in electronic markets or something like that always seem to be good on the first look but useually they arent. I am pretty sure, there are online stores that also build the PC. Use forums, talk with others, and find out what parts you want. Go on their website, select your parts. Building it yourself is no sorcery, but I can imagine you dont want to do it if you are new to the topic. So pay 30€/$ or whatever it is more and let the shop build the PC; they can even preinstall and OS and testrun it. And you will get shipped an PC with your chosen parts that is definitly more cost efficient than anything prebuild.

Hey. Yesterday on my way home I saw a patrol car on the shoulder of the freeway warning for an upcoming traffic jam, so people can take the offramp if they dont want to wait. Thats nothing special here but I thought about other countries. Does this also happen in other contries? And wich kind of vehicles/technologies are used for that? I know in France exist a lot of those LED screens above the highway so there is no need for that. But I dont have any idea about the US for example. In germany, the "Highway Police" either uses Vans with big LED screens on the top or regular patrol cars equipped with smaller LEDS panels, where they write "ACHTUNG" - "STAU" (Attantion - Traffic jam).
