  1. I am saddened by todays events. Our community has lost 2 great people in this tragic accident. Most don't know this about news choppers but they are more than pests in the sky chasing lights and sirens, they actually help first responders all the time with locating incidents, being first on scene to remote plane crashes, assist police with tracking dangerous fugitives, etc. Let it also be know that the pilot, Gary Pfitzner, saved a lot of people today by attempting to "ditch" his chopper in an area that was least populated in a very busy part of the Seattle Center. My thoughts are with the families and friends of the pilot and camera man, the news crews who knew these men personally, the man in the intensive care burn unit in critical condition that survived the chopper smashing into it and catching the car on fire, his family and friends, the first responders (including the citizens who stepped up to help) and the communities that have been impacted by this tragic accident. As for this comment, I am not sure what your news outlet has been saying but I have been following this story since it happened and being apart of an agency that may become involved in this accident, I have yet to hear of any fuel leaking. They do not fuel these choppers from these heli-pads on top of the buildings, they do that at the airport. I think what may have happened was misinformation about the fuel that was a RIVER of jet fuel on fire streaming down the street after the chopper crashed. They have been no reports locally that any fuel was leaking prior to the crash. What has been said was the chopper had landed, was starting to take off again and was in his pre-flight hover, then witnesses outside and inside the news building reported hearing a strange sound, watched the chopper spin around once, and then nose down into the ground. As for the "auto-rotate" they weren't more than a 5 stories up so there wasn't enough room or altitude for the pilot to do anything to save the chopper other than aim for an empty spot and crash.
  2. Thanks :)
  3. What siren and gun sounds do you use in the WSP vid?
  4. I will say that I agree with you that people in general are bafoons, but like some others have said, most people don't know what you know. Now I get that your job is dangerous and serious and I'm sure that most of the time you are friendly, however, I firmly believe in good customer service and if you honestly just tell ppl to "MOVE" and I was the customer whom you were delivering to, not only would I be calling the company rep, but I would say something to you. I feel that while I am annoyed at peoples ignorance much like you are, our problems "getting along" in society are because people are rude to one another and only focus on themselves. Not saying that is you, but im sorry your statements that your only job is to go home at night safe, while I agree you should be safe you are incorrect. Your job is to represent that company in the best way possible and if you for one second don't think that talking to someone in a forceful way because you want to "hurry in and hurry out" doesn't get noticed you should look around. I sorry if this sounds like a personal attack It's not meant to be honestly, but customer service is gone in todays world and the only way to have the advantage in todays economy is to have a great image. I will say that as someone who's been in security and who repos cars I know the need for that safety buffer, but unless they appear to be hell bent on coming at you, try being polite, smile and inform them to please go around for safety and security reasons. Now I know that takes a few extra seconds to do but those extra few seconds my be just enough for that person to THINK next time before they do the dame thing. Trust me, it can work.
  5. I have to sound off with the rest of the people on here, while I see your point because I was once like you (10 years ago) I have since learned the limits as to why it is not allowed. You are not immature kids out causing problems, but (and don't take this next part as a slam, its just a proven fact) at 16 you do not have the experience in different driving situations to be able to safely drive code. I am not sure if you have talked to officers or fire guys but driving code 3 is scary and most cops/FF hate doing it. Sadly even folks 18-21 still don't poses these skills. As the old saying goes "its all fun and games until someone gets hurt" well sadly most people die when involved in a code 3 collision. I will say however, my argument for your group TO have lights/sirens, you make great billboards in parades, in the event you guys are deployed and need to either control traffic or need to get from one side to the other of a crowed event you can clear the way. The last piece for would be during times of disaster you can be utilized to gain publics attention by driving around (in safer areas) to notify people of important info. Try and look at it from a objective and outside position so you can see our points of view.
  6. Nice job!!! Love to see local stuff :)
  7. Just thought id post my logs. played for a hour or so and was able to arrest ppl and do traffic stuff but just crashed after an alpr hit and arrest.
  8. Played nearly an hour. was able to arrest ppl in and out of traffic stops and everything seemed to be doing great. I am only running ELS 7, DAS, Spotlight and our clan pack with custom cars and peds. I only fatal error'd when I was enroute to a shootout at the airport. here is the info. if this is something that you are aware of sorry to take up space but maybe it will help. Thanks guys keep up that amazing work.
  9. lol and that could be. it seems to crash everytime I try and do a traffic stop or arrest someone. Also now when I go to stop someone they go to pull over but then there cars engine stops then starts and the keep going, and they aren't fleeing they don't even stop. So im thinking something is being a pain in the butt so im wiping everything and starting again lol.
  10. ya im trying process of elimination, one of my officers in our clan is running everything the same as me and no issues. so we are going back and fourth lol. thank you for your input though I will deff try it :)
  11. Go to your main gta IV map. find the GTA IV "extension" (below the gta iv browser). click on it to highlight it, then right click it and select properties. Go to compatibility and you should see a box that says "run in windows xp service pack 3" make sure that it is unchecked.
  12. so I started with a fresh clean game. uninstalled 1.0, then only added ELS 7, DAS, spotlight, and VP_callouts. I can get into the police station, do all that fun stuff, but I think ELS might be whats crashing me. Nothing is modified now either. Don't mean to keep posting stuff others are posting but hey at lease we are figuring this all out.
  13. sweet, will remove. Thank you guys :)
  14. Sweet thanks. Hope what I posted helps, that's really all that I see that has errors.
  15. I would have to assume so, I will have to take my pack out and try. The thing is I can do everything normally in single player but once in MP I seem to crash out. Is there a way to post my logs on here?
  16. When I do a traffic stop or try and arrest someone while in MP I get the fatal error message. Also I cant copy and paste my log info onto here, Im not sure why lol. I didn't have any issues until upgrading. I stated with a fresh clean vanilla version and then installed our clan pack.
  17. YOU SIR ARE A SAINT!!! Thank you both :)
  18. Unless I have misunderstood, we should be able to change the Xbox controller settings right? How does one do this? We would like to try and change the bindings for the siren because it interferes with the quick action menu. Thank you for any info/help.
  19. Sweet :) I will see if the keeps us from crashing at the station. Keep up the amazing work guys! Thank you!!!
  20. Hmm, couldn't get it to force duty nor could I find the key bindings to do so. I will have to keep looking. Currently was using alt+p to start lcpdfr and crtl+p to force duty. alt+p still works but ctrl+p wasn't. And thank you for the mp info. I want to extend a very big THANK YOU to the LCPDFR team for all their hard work and dedication. Not only that, they are still here answering "bug/user" issues so fast. THANK YOU GUYS!!!
  21. It seems more than just me is having this issue lol. We are using peds that have been made for our clan and we to have been crashing upon entering the police station. Wish the force duty was still enabled. Still super excited :) On another question, seeing as I cant get 1.0 to work yet in single player, I haven't heard anything that related to multiplayer. Is 1.0 been rebuild to work any better in mp? (sorry if its in the wrong area)
  22. The Washington State Patrol is now using the Chevy Caprice. They look hideous and I don't think they have been well received because most troopers cant fit into them (most are nearly 6'). They are fazing out the Crown Vic's as they break down or reach their mileage limits. Also a lot of local agencies have gone Chargers (I hate them like Justin Beiber hates girls) while others have gone with the Ford Explorer Interceptor. I have heard good things about the Explorer. Cant wait to see what we get in our new clan pack :D
  23. Good to know. I did have 6 gigs but I think one of the sticks died so maybe I will increase my ram. I forgot that the only 2 things that changed was going from win 7 ultimate to win 7 home premium and going from 6 gigs to 4 gigs...I am going to go to 8 gigs and see if that helps. I understand my cpu is a little on the low end but for some reason I NEVER had issues until AFTER my wipe and reload. I could play with even more mods than what I do know and never crashed or lost graphics. Thank you to all who are giving advice I really appreciate it :)
