You could have a built a desktop for that price that would absolutely destroy that laptop. Like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/Qp9WGX . The good thing about a desktop is that it is able to be upgraded, you can't do that with a laptop. Another issue with laptops is that they are prone to cooling issues because of how condensed the parts are, thus reducing the lifetime of the components because of them being so hot. If I were you I would cancel my order and build a desktop, I built my first PC about two months ago and I didn't damage any of the components.
