Easily my favourite callout mod so far! One or two things that can be improved in future releases but for now a more than solid first version! This mod adds a variety of action-oriented callouts that tie in neatly to LSPDFR! I love how for the chases a few units including a helicopter are already on it, it feels as if the ongoing pursuit is indeed active and you join your colleagues to save the day! I especially like the transport vehicle theft because it requires a different strategy to put a stop to heavy truck than a fast muscle car. Now for the few downsides: I played an hour now with this mod and have had the Jail Break callout as well as the Transport Vehicle Theft a lot, but never had the Ambulance Theft and the Sniper. Maybe this was pure coincidence and, to be fair, I am using a couple of other callout mods alongside this one, but then again, maybe this needs some tweaking. Also I discovered one issue with the Transport Vehicle Theft: When the truck comes to a stop and the driver is killed, the pursuit is ended and the passenger has no blip attached to him. It's not that bad because he keeps shooting, getting the attention of the other cops in the chase who put him down for it but maybe it could be made so there's a certain chance he throws his gun away and starts fleeing on foot or he changes to the driver's seat and tries to get the truck moving again (if the API and/or the cop AI even allows for that). That's just a few suggestions to improve this mod in the future and I am eager to find out if and how they will be implemented in future releases, along with exciting new High Priority Callouts! Keep up the great work, i'd love to see more of it in the future!
  3. Well if what you say is correct, it is of great help to me! I didn't even know there was such a thing as a license plate format in the US and/or the game. In germany, we use a type of font called "FE-Schrift" (forgery-impending font), where no characters can be made to look like another one by using tape or paint, as well as a standardised format to avoid confusion and forgery.
  4. As the title says, this is an issue that's pretty annoying when performing license plate checks, as those characters look so similar in the ingame license plate fond. I hope this is going to be adressed in one of the next releases. I suggest one of the two following ways of doing so: LSPDFR converts all detected license plates to a string where all "0"s are replaced with "O"s (or vice versa) and does the same with the user input, so it doesn't make a difference any more what you type in the console.LSPDFR shows a list of all detected (checkable) license plates in the default UI font and thus makes it possible for the player to type in the correct one on the first try. What do you think? Is this doable, am I the only one having a problem with this, can you think of better ways of addressing this?
This mod adds seamlessly what has been greatly missed from LCPDFR and more! Thank you very much!
Awesome mod, can't imagine playing LSPDFR without it anymore! I just love how everything ties in with the base mod so well, great use of the API!
  5. Well, nevermind then! I'll be sure to leave a five star rating on both your mods! Keep up the great work!
  6. Great work, @Albo1125! I love both of your mods and can't imagine LSPDFR without them anymore! One little issue though: AI cops start shooting suspects from your ANPR callouts after I already cuffed them. I don't know if this is an issue with the API or with your mod, since i don't use any other callout mods. EDIT: If the AI arrest the suspect(s) everything works fine. Guess I'll just tase them and let the other officers get all the credit until this is resolved. ;)
  7. How much functionality is the armory going to have? Will we be able to choose our weapons and maybe even attachments before we go on duty? I'd love to see the sniper rifle and combat pistol as well as flashlights as an option!
  8. Is it going to be possible to change your weapon loadout and/or use attachments? I'd love to use the combat pistol with flashlight!
  9. Looks good so far! Could you upload a photo of the amber lights please?
  10. "Later today", sounds familiar. :D I didn't think we would see such a message for a while and instead just a news post upon release. Take your time, guys! I really appreciate your work!
  11. Great news! I'm glad to hear you're making progress! One question though: Is it possible to release the API earlier as was requested before by @FinKone (if I remember correctly).
  12. 0:00 UTC is 2 AM here in Germany. I'll be playing CSGO und mashing the F5 button everytime I die tonight!
  13. Nice tutorial, although you don't need to install a new text editor just to modify one file, when you could easily use the default windows one. One question though: Does the order in which plugins are loaded have any effect on compatibility and/or stability?
  14. I wonder: Do the plugins need to be updated by their respective devs to accommodate the new RPH or will they work like before?
  15. Maybe I didn't express myself clearly, sorry about that. I was speaking hypothetically, stating Microsoft's ambitions as @LMS did before. I know what you mean! As for me, the only reason I still use Windows as my main OS is for gaming. If (somehow, in a distant future) there will be no more PC gaming, there will be nothing to keep me from converting to open source software all the way.
  16. The funny thing is, once PC gaming is destroyed, there will be no reason whatsoever left to use windows or any microsoft products for pc! Aren't Microsoft shooting themselves in the foot somehow?
  17. Hey man, I love the concept and simplicity of this mod, but will you make a Ragehook version one day? Edit: Oh, never mind, I saw that the question was already answered. Great mod anyway!
Works exactly like it should! I didn't register any significant FPS drops when testing (which included shooting a lot of people and cars in a crowded intersection in Downtown LS and then driving around the block to see if they're still there :D). My ASUS ROG R9290X Platinum which can run GTA 5 normally with medium to high settings at about 50-60 FPS seems to handle this mod quite well. Thank you very much. This adds a lot to immersion and realism when playing LSPDFR!
  18. Hey, could you find a way to make the gangs less prone to shoot you as soon as you try to arrest them? I've never been to LA (or the USA for that matter) but you would think even gangsters react differently towards cops aiming a gun at them, than they do towards some random guy doing the same. Another question: Is the mod going to have a configurable ini or, better yet, an ingame menu to persistently change some options like LCPDFR had and more (e.g. weapon loadout, max number of cops/cars in a pursuit, max/min time to next callout etc.)? Also, would it be possible to make all police vehicles unlocked so I don't have to smash in the window when getting a new one from the precinct?
  19. I went to see my doctor about this "countdown" thing, as @ineseri suggested. Strangely, his holiday replacement was some Swedish guy who reminded me of someone I once spent some time with in L.A.... Anyway, I feel so much better now! I don't see it anymore! You should really check your servers for any signs of malicious, hallucinogenic code.
  20. I guess I'm starting to see things, then... Wait, i already do:the ominous countdown. I should see a doctor.
  21. I just love how @ineseri changed his avatar to "Trollface-Phelps"!
